and To me, Sakura's regular clothes are a great change as she generally wears clothes with the collar ....that's her typical outfit ...but here it's something different ...i liked it

I'm disapointed Sasuke won't be part of the rescue mission...

I'm disapointed Team8 won't be there.

Shikamaru doesn't belong in ithe rescue mission, IMO He should be replaced by Kiba. As always Kishi's favoritism is showing.

 

Also imagine if it was possible to get rid of Naruto as well, and let Sakura plays the team's leader. It would also mean more relevance for Sai, without the MC to hog all the spotlight and fights...

Also for a supposedly irrelevant character, Sakura has gotten a lot of pose aand expression...

 

They just don't market her, because her being there and playing an important role is a given.

Of course, she's relevant. Sakura is a main character. It's a given for any movie to be in and included in a mission and all these stuff. She can't just appear a few times casually in a movie and that's it !

I'm talking for a movie. The manga is something else as in it's not shown one time and in a given hour/s. It's what the writer had assigned her to do like any other character. Whether a reader likes it or not, it's his/her opinion in that matter.

In the Pain's arc, the whole of Konoha was made to look like helpless running cowards, the kittening Hokage wasn't allowed to do kitten. All so that Naruto could be made the saviour, in an obnoxious hamfisted way. Learn subtlety, please Kishi...

Sakura hardly got the worst treatment.

This arc is a disgrace.

To my knowledge, Kishimoto planned the arc to be longer, with a Tsunade vs Pain fight and all. But it was all removed due to time constraints.

No, of course not. But you know, Sakura has to do be fighting 24/7 to be relevant. They also forget, that Sakura was not just reduced to healing. She took out a giant centipede summon with one punch, saved a little girls life, and most likely went around town saving villagers, which is really what her and the other ninja should be doing in the first place. Have no idea how that makes her helpless

Yeah, but look at this war arc. Sakura has really been involved in it for the most part, even though she has little tie in with the Uchiha's besides being a member of T7 and Sasuke's teammate. However, she still came in contact with Obito, Madara, and Kaguya.

 

I agree that all the Hinata advertising, is a bit troublesome, but because of all the pictures of emotions, poses, and casual outfit, it seems that Sakura will appear more than SP is letting on.

That's a mystery in and of itself. Why are they advertising Sasuke so heavily if he's not taking part in the mission with the squad sent out to rescue Hanabi? It doesn't make sense. Unless he makes an appearance sometime into the conflict as reinforcements, but the loose quote provided about him intending to protect someone of importance suggests that he might be with Kakashi, who should still be in the village, since he's the acting Hokage in this time period.

And there was that shining moment of direct action on her part when she defeated the giant centipede summoning that was causing higher ranking Leaf shinobi to flee with just one punch (they had to be at least of Chunin rank because they were outfitted with the standard flak jacket). The Invasion of Pain arc was one of Sakura's less important arcs in terms of influential roles, but you can't deny that she did more than nearly all of the other Rookies. Choji is the only exception that I might argue had a greater impact since he did act as backup for Kakashi against God Realm and Demon Realm. 

 

Edit: Oh, and let's not forgot that ironic moment when she saved Hinata's life, during which she came to realise (in a sombre mood) that Hinata had feelings for Naruto.

Also the hug after ward.

I saw it as her realizing someone may someday steal Naruto from her, and deciding to show to the rest of the world he's hers.

 

 

I don't like it at all. Especially since I wanted to see Hinata and Sasuke talk at least once so I could go down with my crack ship in peace...

Plus I feel Sasuke could have related more than the rest to her problem with her sister, certainly more than Naruto, but well, Naruto will be hogging everyone's friendship, like always....

Sasuke's not included in the mission, so either reinforcement at some point, or protecting Kakashi, or both.

 

No one can deny that this movie is indeed Hinata centric. I feel bad for Sakura really.

Just cause Hanabi has been kidnapped doesn't mean Hinata centric all the way in the movie. What more can she do than trying to save her and saying lines like the other characters. She's going to be more centric between the side characters, but not more than the main characters in the mission.
