The example I gave follows the same principle of the body not responding to you. Kurama was extracted from Naruto, do you think he gave up and pass out of his own free will, or is it because of the affects of having kurama pulled out of him? Don't answer, it's a rhetorical question.

As much as I despise Hinata, I don't believe she gave up on Naruto like you've said. She wasn't able to get back up simply because of exhausting, not because she decided to give up on him. It's like I have a never-give-up personality when I do my morning jogging, but some douchebag shoots me in both of my legs. I want to to continue jogging no matter what but I can't, because my legs have been blown off.

 

Do you honestly think Hinata doesn't want to be right there with Naruto helping him however she can? Well she can't, because her body won't allow her to.

I don't believe in the exhaustion bullcrap. How many times was Naruto exhausted and still got back up? How many times was other characters exhausted and still got up to keep fighting until they were critically injured or worse? Hinata was not injured in any way and about exhaustion....well, let me bring up something

He took on a boss by himself to protect her and others around him from dying and even was willing to break the rules of a game to save her from it. He didn't want to quit even when he was impaled BY HIS OWN SWORD. No. I'm sorry, just no. How many characters in a fictional world stand their ground saying to the very villains that "As long as I draw breath, I will continue to fight and win" all for the sake of the one they love? There are too many examples to count. You cannot tell me and say that no other character, even in Naruto, has not done this because as I said, Naruto was willing to keep fighting Gaara despite being completely exhausted to save Sakura's life.

So tell me another one because I don't see a strong willed girl willing to forgo pain and life for the man she loves...I see a weak fangirl who is so easily defeated by her own inadequacies and the more I think about it, the more I am disgusted by it. I have seen other rival love interests who lose "the battle", yet were still willing to keep going.

So, yeah you can make "excuses" for Hinata if you want to, but I won't. Every NH fan already excuses all her failures and inadequacies for her.

As far as I'm concerned Hinata is exactly what a fiction character SHOULDN'T be. She has accomplished very little, if anything in the story, she has made the situation worse a number of times, she nearly ended Naruto's life when she went up against Pein, she's selfish, and she has hardly any goal outside of Naruto.

 

Okay, I don't mind a Character having some pretty serious flaws. Sakura makes a good example. Despite nearly killing her twice, nearly killing Naruto a number of times, and dragging them on and on and on to nothing but dead ends and painful sorrow, she still has feelings for Sasuke. However, she has accomplished a lot of things. She has character development, she's selfless, she's arguably the most normal character (other than Lee maybe) in the manga.These are things Hinata doesn't have.

 

Hinata's development...she held Naruto's hand and gave a speech...should we be impressed? Because I'm not.

I mean WTF! Has that guy really gone insane! Honestly, I did think that NH fans cannot be as stupid as you guys portrayed them to be. But seeing this I must admit they are asscrazy! I mean 'cancels out find a girl like me' that's utterly ridiculous. Not to bash or anything but that surely was ridiculous and stupid. Apart from that, I have one question. What has popularity to do with the pairing being canon? And as far as I know NH is popular only in the west whereas its NS in Japan or Asia for that matter. Correct me if I am wrong. Also, I agree with the example that NaruSaku3Life3g gave. COD is very popular but its not as good as compared to lets say Battlefield. So popularity really has nothing to do with the pairing being canon IMO. BTW I happened to watch Pain Arc again. Am I the only one who thinks that Naruto looks totally badass and mature in that red cloak?

But she loveshim right ? She wasn't dead or something she was alive and conscious . She gave up plain and simple , I wouldn't give up on the one I love no matter how tired I am I will keep fighting . Naruto has done the same for Sakura-Chan even when he was damn near dead tired he kept fighting to make sure the one he loved was alright . Hinata simply couldn't hack it . And regardless if somebody blew my legs off . I would still drag my self using my hands only in order to protect the one I love . Hinata could have done the same but she gaved up plain and simple . You don't give up on the one you love never EVER .

Of course she wasn't going to "lay down" because she had the ability to not "lay down" like you've just said. You're basically telling me how different Karin & Hinata are in terms of abilities.

Im an american, and I HATE NH.... I just don't get it, nor do I understand why people in this country root for it. it rather annoying not to be able to meet another NS fan in person here in america. I feel like Im all alone out here. no matter what I do or say to people in person who are NH can I sway them into thinking that their paring doesn't have a chance.

 

WHY do I have a feeling that If Kishimoto (even though he would never do this and sell it) not only made NS go canon. but showed them having unprotected sex.... UNCENSORED... then get married, have god knows or cares how many kids (lets just say for arguements sake it was a ton) watched them all grown to be successful ninja/konoichi, and then DIE together in lovers embrace AND were burried together... IN THAT EXACT ORDER... that they WOULD STILL be rooting for NH.

Gosh XD. As I said long back, people love Hinata because of her personality and that's why they think she'd be perfect with Naruto, though I don't know whats with so much hatred for Sakura because she has surely done a lot for Naruto. BTW, a small advice for you. If you are all alone against them I suggest let them go on ranting and you don't give a kitten to them! Time will speak for itself and besides as you've said all that married and all, they won't sway in their opinions and keep bringing up ridiculous points and piss you off. I've my experience and I'd like to share it. I've a friend who is much of a hardcore NH fan as I am of NS. When 615 happened he went on and on and just won't stop. Inside I was at my limits but chose to wait. And then, when that CPR came HELL YEAH!!! I screwed him inside out. Though he said its just a medic's job and all but inside he knew it was much much more and I could see that on his face. So I say wait till the time comes, and when it comes HELL YEAH!! Its your turn!!

Both of the lines said by Minato are the same but what separates those two are mere 'Take care of my son, Obito' to Obito and *This girl kinda reminds me of Kushina*(Kushina-Get a girl like me) "Take care of my son". Actually there was no need to put Minato's thought over here, but still Kishi did that, all this points to something doesn't it?

She was tired and decided to take a nap in the middle of a war? Nah, I don't buy it. It's funny, you argue that she gave up on Naruto when a couple of chapters back she was willing to give up her own life for Naruto by getting in the way of a Mokuton jutsu. The contradiction does not add up with your case.

Okay, Luffy. You have basically just double standard your way into excusing EVERYTHING Hinata has done wrong.

You're right, Hinata is NOT Naruto, but she does try to emulate his nindo of "never giving up" and yet she gave up so easily hasn't she? Yeah for a girl who wants to be strong for Naruto, she is so weak to give up that easily at this point in time. Let's keep in mind that Sakura is also exhausted and yet she is doing the same as Naruto would and not give up on him. Let's keep in mind that Naruto literally powered every single ninja on the field and gave them extra strength and stamina. Let's keep in mind how every other person has been fighting, is exhausted, and yet managed to stay conscious with some of them who have fought longer and harder than Hinata ever has.

You mean to tell me she is the only one to pass out?  The whole entire army is exhausted from fighting, yet she is the only one to pass out among the well known people? Really? How weak is this girl? It's funny that you compare actual injuries people have sustained and yet they are not unconscious, to a girl who hasn't been fighting that long, who has sustained NO injuries, and is just passing out because "she is tired." Remember, you're the one who compared this to someone having their legs injured.

Funny that you just described Hinata vs Pein

 

Funny that you just opened my eyes to a realization again. Hinata vs Pein: she fought and lost to the point of being impaled. Yet, apparently she gets exhausted on the battlefield she barely even fought in. Let me state that again, the fight against Pein; the only thing to stop her was her getting impaled....meanwhile, on the battlefield of the great Fourth Ninja War, she is fine. No injuries sustained. Nothing wrong with her except maybe she is tired, but then everyone else is, and she is calling it quits....

This should have been a cake walk for her after fighting Pein. This is not even comparable especially when at this point in time she was also fueled by Naruto's chakra who was also fighting the bad guy at the same time. If she injured, I would understand a little bit more, but she is not.

Speaking of which, Naruto was still alive during the Pein arc. This one Naruto is dead or dying. You'd think him dying would get an even bigger reaction out her and make her push herself even more than the Pein arc. If the idea of Naruto dying pushes her to go that far, shouldn't him actually dying push her even harder to try? I guess not.

I guess Hinata is now both really weak in will AND love. Thank you, you have lowered my expectations of the girl farther than even I could imagine. While every other character pushes themselves to their limits and even surpassing them from sheer will, she gives up that easy and apparently to you "passes out."

I'll say again, you're right. Hinata is not Naruto, or Karin, or Sakura, or any other of the Konoha 11. I don't have to make excuses for all the other characters in the manga like that. All the other characters keep going, keep fighting, and keep progressing for even less reasons than Hinata gives. Many of the other characters have had worse lives than her and yet never once let that past weaken their resolve like it has with Hinata. In fact, it served to strengthen them more. Determined to go for that goal until they succeed or die trying.

There is NO excuse. None. Nadda. Nein. No.

What did I expect from this girl? Not that much actually, and yet what I asked for is still way too much. So no, luffy, there is no excuse for this girl and the more you try to excuse it...the more pathetic it is. Lesser Ninja have achieved far more than this girl at this point in time. Because of everything you have pointed out to me, Luffy, I have now come to reason that she has become weaker than her part 1 self. That's right. Part 1 Hinata is STRONGER than Part 2 Hinata in every aspect. 660 chapters later and she has gone so far back, her part 1 self deserves more respect and admiration.
 

In short: No, she did not pass out. Yes, she was exhausted, but so was everyone else. If she did pass out, why? Hinata's stamina is the same as Ten-Ten's, so why isn't Ten-Ten out of it too? This is even after she was exhausted half to death after using the SO6P tool. Sakura and Hinata stamina are not the same, but factoring in how much Sakura has fought and used her chakra to aid in healing and providing stamina for others I'd say she should be more exhausted than Hinata, but yet she isn't passing out either. Also factor in Naruto adding his own power to increase her stamina. 

There is no excuse.

what contradiction ? You talking about taking a nap. She doesn't even look like she was unconscious. What does her doing that for Naruto have to do with giving up? Anybody would have took that attack for Naruto, I bet on it. She gave up because she was conscious and chose to stay down, she could have gotten back up or tried to crawl or something but she gave up. We didn't even see her anymore for you to say that she passed out or took a nap. She closed her eyes to pray. That's what those panels showed and also it showed that she was tired and reached the end of her rope. It got ninjas in the background that's still standing. And these ninjas might be even weaker than her and she passed out? Why her ? Let's keep in mind they all been fighting , none of them passed out except for her. She gave up.

Maybe Hinata's fall was meant for another meaning. Not necessarily one of logic because Hinata seemed absolutely determined in the Pain Arc to have Naruto live, even if she got KOed by Pain in the process. That's what's most shocking about Hinata giving up on Naruto's life that easily. Maybe his slowing heart got to her more, but either way it definitely proved Sakura's more determined than her (we already knew that though lol)

 

Personally, I feel like Hinata's prayer Neji was supposed to ramp up the suspense and prove that Naruto's really dying. I've had that impression ever since I first read it, it wasn't meant to prove Hinata's weak or something. At least I don't think that was Kishi's intention. I also think Kishi might've been trying to prove Sakura's the one that's truly close to him, but that's more of my shipper side.

Yeah at this point in time, because she goes from wanting to protect Naruto by getting in the way of a Mokuton jutsu, to giving up on him. Man, that's some fast transition of a personality.

let's keep in mind that Sakura still had a little bit of chakra left when performing the manual heart pumping massage. And she still does have that remaining chakra left as evident of the aura circling around the procedure through 663-666. It is possible to still have the cloak active and be unconscious, after all in 649 Shikamaru was close to death and the cloak still shrouded him. Fighting longer and harder? Oh stop it. This is war, everyone is giving it their all, and some people arrived at the battlefield at a different time. Can't believe you just went there.

Oh, I don't know, maybe because Kishi can create some distance between her and NS. Or to illustrate no matter how Hinata tries to reach Naruto she'll never take hold of him. So many reasons as to why she was the one to pass out. If you want to know how weak she is just ask Hanabi.

It's funny that you compare actual injuries people have sustained and yet they are not unconscious, to a girl who hasn't been fighting that long, who has sustained NO injuries, and is just passing out because "she is tired." Remember, you're the one who compared this to someone having their legs injured.

You failed to understand the comparison. It was about the body not cooperating with a persons will.

Funny that you just opened my eyes to a realization again. Hinata vs Pein: she fought and lost to the point of being impaled. Yet, apparently she gets exhausted on the battlefield she barely even fought in. Let me state that again, the fight against Pein; the only thing to stop her was her getting impaled....meanwhile, on the battlefield of the great Fourth Ninja War, she is fine. No injuries sustained. Nothing wrong with her except maybe she is tired, but then everyone else is, and she is calling it quits....

Barely even fought in? James, Kishi ain't going to waste panel time detailing every little thing Hinata does on the battlefield, especially against fodder. You think he shows every fight that the fodder ninja in the alliance have in the war? No. Calling it quits? Your description of Hinata is so contradictory that you should be sued.
 

This should have been a cake walk for her after fighting Pein. This is not even comparable especially when at this point in time she was also fueled by Naruto's chakra who was also fighting the bad guy at the same time. If she injured, I would understand a little bit more, but she is not.

After fighting Pein? You and I clearly have a different meaning of the word "fighting" when it comes to that scene. Like I said before, it's possible to pass out and still have the cloak active. When Naruto's heart stopped, the chakra surrounding Sakura went away. Basically, Naruto is the satellite.
 

Speaking of which, Naruto was still alive during the Pein arc. This one Naruto is dead or dying. You'd think him dying would get an even bigger reaction out her and make her push herself even more than the Pein arc. If the idea of Naruto dying pushes her to go that far, shouldn't him actually dying push her even harder to try? I guess not.

You basically just added more to my argument that she indeed did passed out. Thnx, mate.
 

I guess Hinata is now both really weak in will AND love. Thank you, you have lowered my expectations of the girl farther than even I could imagine. While every other character pushes themselves to their limits and even surpassing them from sheer will, she gives up that easy and apparently to you "passes out."

Yeah, just like she easily gave up during that one sided fight against Pein...oh wait/
 

I'll say again, you're right. Hinata is not Naruto, or Karin, or Sakura, or any other of the Konoha 11. I don't have to make excuses for all the other characters in the manga like that. All the other characters keep going, keep fighting, and keep progressing for even less reasons than Hinata gives.

Keep going? Keep progressing? LoL, if Pein and Obito is your way of interpreting "going & progressing" in this series, then you my friend, are clearly reading this manga wrong. Naruto would like to have a word with you.
 

Many of the other characters have had worse lives than her and yet never once let that past weaken their resolve like it has with Hinata. In fact, it served to strengthen them more. Determined to go for that goal until they succeed or die trying.

Didn't I just say each character is different and you agreeing with me? Don't compare Hinata's childhood and resolve to others. Does it give Obito the right to attempt to blow up baby Naruto because some girl died? No.

Your opinion does not outweigh Kishi's portrayal of Hinata's character, which has been the consistency of being a sacrificial lamb when it comes to him, yet here you are rambling on about how she gave up on him. U serious?
 

Lesser Ninja have achieved far more than this girl at this point in time. Because of everything you have pointed out to me, Luffy, I have now come to reason that she has become weaker than her part 1 self. That's right. Part 1 Hinata is STRONGER than Part 2 Hinata in every aspect. 660 chapters later and she has gone so far back, her part 1 self deserves more respect and admiration.

Now this is just turning into blind hate. Has part 1 Hinata even beaten fodder? No. Has part 2 Hinata beaten fodder? Yes.

Yes, she was exhausted, but so was everyone else. If she did pass out, why? Hinata's stamina is the same as Ten-Ten's, so why isn't Ten-Ten out of it too? This is even after she was exhausted half to death after using the SO6P tool.

Oh god forbid you're not using databook stats for this argument? LOL

 

Sakura and Hinata stamina are not the same, but factoring in how much Sakura has fought and used her chakra to aid in healing and providing stamina for others I'd say she should be more exhausted than Hinata, but yet she isn't passing out either. Also factor in Naruto adding his own power to increase her stamina.
