I'm back! Sorry I was away for so long! happy.gif;;

Hoku is right, I like to take a break from my PC now and then - and I was also fixing up my internet connection. happy.gif

I got a new ADSL modem with a better interface so I could adjust it to my exact needs. wink.gif The old one was clunky and it was a nightmare trying to adjust its firewall so I just dumped it!

I can now download an anime episode in 30mins on BT, compared to 20-25 on direct download. wink.gif

In other news, "Too Deep" has become multichapter. tongue.gif Goddamnit. It's going to be a 3/4 chapter NaruSaku-centric fic, and it WILL be out in time for Xmas, along with a special Xmas one-shot (which might have a New Year "sequel", depends how the story feels).

A new bookshop opened in town and it sells MANGA!! biggrin.gif I bought this huge book called "Manga" by Masanao Amano, it showcases 136 mangakas ranging from Oh! Great (Hmanga artist who went mainstream, has a really nice clean style) to Rumiko Takahashi. There are a lot of different styles, and some of the mangaka are downright sick. tongue.gif You really need a strong stomach to see some of the panels... a few of them are very graphic violence. The subjects range from cute manga to H-manga (yes, there are a few hentai scenes in the book). It also has a free DVD that shows a lot of interviews with Japanese people about manga.

One funny thing I learnt is that Japanese women LOVE shounen-ai. If a bookshop stocks it they get a huge increase in female customers.

I also picked up a reference book for anatomy in manga, and I just got Naruto volume 5 in the post. happy.gif But I can't believe that Volume 6 won't be out until APRIL! They're taking twice as long to release volumes! Usually, Shonen Jump in Japan releases the Naruto volumes every two months - Viz takes four months. It's going to be YEARS before they finally catch up to where we are at this point in the manga, and it will take longer than Kishimoto originally took!

Bah.

Hehe, you're lucky. wink.gif In this damn town, the new bookshop is the ONLY store that sells manga! It hasn't got a lot at the moment, but it is a nice start. happy.gif It's got Love Hina, Akira, a huge bunch of manga documentary books, some drawing books, series art books and a few more things I can't remember.
