I'm sorry, but I don't care for whatever your friends do or for that movie. Real life is very different of comics and films. And you can't compare a Japanese comic-book with an American movie because they are two kind of stories very different, and use a completely different storytelling and stereotypes.

Naruto is a SHONEN manga. Therefore, you must compare it with other shonen manga in order to find paralelysms, archetypes and trends. And one of them is NO SHONEN MANGA has featured a homosexual male lead character. Given that Naruto follows shonen manga rules staunchily, I doubt he'll change that trend.

I guess that's the reason because you refusing comparing Naruto with similar stories. You are inwardly aware you wouldn't like the results.

Like i said before, Naruto doesn't "LOVE" sakura. he has a play crush on her and it has never gotten romantic in the least.

And you are basing that on what? The times he has told he loves her? The times he has hit on her? The times he has sacrificed himself for her? The times he's asked dates? The time he tried spying on her? The time he blushed when she was talking to feeding him? All instances in the official story that state, show, suggest or hint he's in love with her?

And what the Hell is a play crush? You're simply coming up with any absurd-sounding stuff you can think of -but not thinking over- in order to deny the facts you refuse facing.

Naruto has clearly defined in canon his feelings regarding his teammates: he has told his feelings towards Sakura are romantic and his feelings towards Sasuke are brotherly. That IS what is written in the manga and that IS the canon.

Thinking otherwise is nothing but wishful thinking of a blinded, obsessed shipper.

I admit that naruto hasn't shown interest in guys other than Sasuke.

I really believe if sasuke weren't around he probably would've fallen for Sakura romantically by now.

He had already fallen for Sakura romantically before the beginning of the story. When we meet his schoolmates in chapter three, he states he already likes Sakura.

That's what is OUTRIGHT written in the manga.

He's obsessed with getting his brother back, one of the first bonds he created. He has led a lonely life, so he treasured and cherished his bonds and is completely unwilling giving up one of them. Yes, I have noticed that.

I don't know how telling you this, but... obsession and love are different things. Way, way different.

Honestly, I don't know whence this "NaruSasu is canon" nonsense came, but it'd be INFINITELY more tolerable if NaruSasu shippers would realize it isn't canon and it won't be.

But seriously... In Urusei Yatsura, Ataru and Shutaro kissed accidentally more times than Naruto and Sasuke have ever kissed (and they displayed the same reaction: utter repugnance). And I doubt anyone in UY fandom runs around screaming they are gay.

And on the other hand, Sasuke, who has betrayed Naruto, hurt him physically and emotionally in situations aren't comedic at all, has tried slaying him several times, and has given him injuries took weeks for healing, is perfect for him.

Double talk combined with shipper blindness. You have to love it.

But yeah, I had a debate with a friend a while back about NaruSaku over NaruHina. I realize now, but it was pretty stupid. He was kinda grasping at straws, it was kinda funny, although he likes NaruSaku, he just likes NaruHina more, and sees that NS is more plausible. At least he's not stubborn enough to not admit NaruSaku is a definite possibility.

Fairly speaking, OOC-ness happens in non-NaruSasu doujins as well. Usually the characters are nearly unrecognizable. But I concur with you.

i do understand why naruto wouldn't tell what he would do to sakura. But, i think Naruto's going to Raikage to ask him to forgive sasuke is a little too...naive. He's supposed to know that it's not that easy to forgive someone who tried to kill other. Would Naruto be hit by Raikage like Karui did so sasuke could be forgiven? if it's so, i think Naruto would better be a peace angel.

Yes, I've seen many anime and manga . (and why do you always use out side references to back narusaku up) It's the 21st century the angry girl cliche and tsunabre thing for comic relief is getting old and seriously annoying it wastes valuable air time and pages. Kishimoto did abuse the tsunabre thing to such a severe degree it lead to Sakura's pre term downfall and her obession with sasuke made it worst. I never read Love Hina but Inuyasha got everything he deserved. (note: even kishimoto questioned Sakura's popularity.) And kishimoto said he wanted his manga to be unique. Narusaku is just sticking to the book. Naruhina is nothing new guy ends up with a nice girl. Then there is SasuNaru, I'm pretty sure no shonen has ever turned shonen-ai.Now that will be unique!! Naruhina maybe a shojo pairing but dont act like Naruto doesnt have any shojo references . Look at the Ino vs Sakura fight and their drama with Sasuke if not shojo i dont know what is. And Naruto may liked Sakura but it was a childish crush. There is no romantic feelings . Sakura could seriously pass for narutos sister. They may have been on a date but it wasnt romantic and Sakura wouldnt have gone if Naruto didnt have any money. Also Sakura will never understand Naruto in the way Hinata,Sasuke and even Gaara might, she doesnt understand what is loneness or what true pain is. Therefore any of those characters might better connection with Naruto than Sakura. I not trying to convert anyboby..im just making a point..if you are going report me please delete this

Kishi has already MADE Naruto unique by making Character the central focus of the series. He has chosen to make the whole thing revolve around deep characters, something we really don't see too often in Shonen. Kishi planned his series out back in 1999, and we're seeing clearly now that he always had this general direction in mind. Naruto won't be genera jumping, it is trying to re-define expectations for Shonen. He's pushing the envelope to make people EXPECT to see these kinds of character-driven stories, which is great, because the last thing we need are flat, stupid stories with little reason for existence but for awesome fight sequences. THAT is likely what he would have ment if he has indeed said this. I don't recall any interviews that Kishi said he wanted it to be unique, but it is the goal of all authors for their work to stand above the status quo.

This person would have had a bit of a point about Sakura not knowing Naruto's pain, but that time has past. She has seen and now experienced a bit of that pain that Naruto and Sasuke have felt. Both Naruto and Sakura felt pain together when Sasuke left. Naruto was able to understand Sasuke's pain when Jiraiya died. Now, Sakura too has felt a bit of that pain. Lady Tsunade is in a coma, you think she isn't hurting? Darn wrong, even though she's comforting Naruto, we are shown by Kishimoto that she really is the one that needs the comfort in the loss. The point is this; Sakura may not be in the same position as Naruto is, but she surely has felt pain, and is able to see and understand both Naruto and Sasuke, and has proven that she knows how to deal with pain.


That's my rant, and those are MY points XD. Context is beautiful, don't throw it out the window.

It definatly gets annoying that everytime I look at a picture there, over half the comments are: Nice work, but I hate this pairing and here are the reasons why.....

What? NaruSaku fans use the manga like main source, and sometimes use other shonen manga in order to compare trends and drawing conclusions.

Non-NS fans use filler, openings and endings, databooks (as long as they don't contradict their favorite pairings), merchandise, fanarts and fanfics, and yell the whole time "DBZ!" and "Harry Potter!" (honestly, I'd love telling them the manga is called Dragon Ball, no Dragon Ball Z).

They try and compare Dragon Ball with Naruto the whole time, and when a NaruSaku fan compares Naruto with other shonen mangas, they shout "you can't compare them because are two different series!".

Please.

That cliche exists, it's been widely used in the past and it'll be used in the future, regardless if you find it annoying and regardless the century, year or month.

I find incredibly amusing you tell Kishimoto has abused the tsundere cliche. Have you watched Ranma 1/2? Urusei Yatsura? City Hunter? You claim having watched a lot animes, so you should at least KNOW them. Or maybe they are too old for you. Yu Yu Hakusho? Rurouni Kenshin? Slayers? Evangelion? Love Hina? Tenchi Muyo? Inu-Yasha? Sakura has hit Naruto less times in the whole series than Akane has slammed Ranma in one single chapter. So I'm sorry, but I don't buy your "I've watched many animes" statement. Not if you tell Kishimoto has abused the tsundere cliché. Someone has REALLY watched many animes would be used to it for now, and would think Kishimoto has used that cliché very moderately.

One friend of mine has been watching anime for over twenty years (right like me), and he gets baffled when he hears there's people hates Sakura because she hits Naruto.

Sakura being a tsundere is grossly overplayed and overexaggerated by people who hates the characters because they need an excuse for bashing her. They refuse seeing it's a cliche and it's been UNDERplayed because then they'd run out of excuses for hating and bashing that fictional character.

Then again... it's a comedic cliche. You're supposed to laugh it off or ignore it and move on. If you can't make that, if you can't accept and understand the gender's conceipts, you shouldn't be reading.

Have you visited Askerian's deviantart's page? She isn't much of a NaruSaku shipper (she preffers NaruSasu and SasuSaku, or NaruSakuSasu), but sometimes she feels like drawing it. She drew a NaruSaku/SasuHina fanart once because she wanted drawing it, not because she thinks those pairings will happen. And she pretty much told that.

And yet people didn't stop pestering her with sentences such like: "It's cracktastic at the best!". And she had to ask them stopping bugging her with the damned pairings...

Oh, and when a SasuSaku or NaruSasu fan draws one NaruSaku pic? The comments are full with complaining, wailing and kittening (but the comments made for NaruSaku fans).

Truthfully, when I find one of those comments, I want telling: "I don't care if you don't like my favorite pairing. I don't care why you don't like. I don't care what pairing you support. I don't know what or who gave you the idea of what I do. Why don't you go and rant about it to your friends? Perhaps they shall PRETEND they care."

Okay, this is a little random... but I was just skimming through the Die For Our Ship page on TV Tropes, and where they talk about Naruto, somebody put this:

Naru/Saku shippers seem to prefer to attack Sakura's mother! She's had about two lines in the anime and has made no appearance in the manga, but Naru/Saku shippers unleash the fury of Hell upon her.

...Anyone else as confused as I am?
