I'm sorry, but this bullcrap. I hate this excuse now because I can apply to Sakura as well. As I have said many times, SAKURA IS NOT THE MAIN CHARACTER.

Are we denying her status as a main character now? She is the main female character, and she's constantly compared to Naruto and Sasuke throughout the manga. To make matters worse, there's the Sannin parallel, in which they're all supposed to surpass their masters (which Sakura did, but only displayed it much, much later. Basically my point, it happened too late).

 

Maybe because she hasn't charged that power fully yet?

That's a bad reason, I asked for a good one (really, not much time has passed since Pain's attack). The truth is that she had that power at her disposal the whole time, but didn't use it on live or die situations (whereas Naruto still had yet to unlock his). It's bad writing by Kishimoto, thus poor character development.

 

Anyway, you asked for a reason why people hate Sakura, I gave you a possible one. I myself don't hate her, I'm just not satisfied with her development. In my opinion, Kishimoto has treated her like an afterthought when he should have given her more relevant stuff to do.

Are you denying Naruto's status as THE main character? Just because you're A main character doesn't mean you are the hero of the story or that you are going to be the one to solve the major problem at hand. Do you expect Lois Lane to beat Brainiac and Darkseid? Did you expect Bulma, Tien, Yamcha, Krillian, or even Vegeta to finish off Frieza? Did you expect Meryll or Wolfwood to finish off Knives? Did you expect Kaoru or Sanosuke to beat Shishio?

I ask again. Whose name is on the cover of the manga?

And no, to answer your question, I am not denying Sakura as a main character. I am saying that it is NOT her job to save Sasuke. The entire story is about brothers and Naruto doing what the previous could not. That is the theme of the story. It is not Sakura's place to save Sasuke at all. This doesn't make her weak or badly written. It just means it is not the role she is meant to play.

You have yet to answer any of my questions in return. Why don't you tell me why Naruto didn't do all the stuff he should have done easily?

Then that is a personal problem, not an objective one. If we want to talk about personal problems, then why isn't Sasuke dead yet? I think it is bad writing that Sasuke is still alive and given a lot more relevance than he deserves.

Good and bad reasons is only relative to the person you are telling to. There is only reasons. The reason is is that it wasn't part of the narrative and it was not the way Kishimoto wanted the story to go.

Hinata's popularity can be attributed to multiple things, first she's got the Japanese Hime look down to a T, from her heritage, to her pale skin, to her mannarism and hair colour and hime cut, then there is the anime fillers specially from the pre-timeskip, I haven't watched them myself but I heard they were very pro-Hinata in them, even some Non-filler episodes are sometimes just stupidly bias, classic example is the Pain invasion where she tried to protect Naruto, and she managed to survive multiple Pain attacks, something not even Tsunade, Naruto, Kakashi or even Jiaraya managed. Plus allot of guys like her because she's the only person who never thought negatively about Naruto, and they like the sweet innocent type.

 

Personally I also think for some it's also partly because of the Seiyu that voices her, Nana Mizuki has a massive following, from all the VA in the show she's the most famous by far, not only as a VA but also as a Singer, I think her songs have even topped the Charts in Japan.

Wait Hearing you guys debate I just figured something out  Minato didn't pass the FTG technique to Naruto the legacy is lost forever  FUARRRRRRRRRK!!!!!    . Wait maybe Kurama knows it  so he can pass it on ? Arghhhhhhhhh the awesomeness that is the FTG can't be lost right ? That should have also been a birthday present from Minato to Naruto passing the FTG legacy on   .

Well its not like Sasuke is fast as much as that swap ability that he has which is limited so I wouldn't count that as speed but I digress. 

 

To answer you  not really but the FTG has its certain advantages and it would go nice with the theme of  surpassing the old generation and his father in everything like he wants to even though it was done with the Rasengan . Its just that gaining the FTG would have made Naruto more versatile then he is with the Bijuu's  I just think that it would have been a nice touch passing something from father to son you know and a technique such as the FTG would have continue on living .
