Disagree with the top, SS is bad and  digidestined way  better than  those two. Besides in opinion this top is way too harsh for Dgimon. We are talking about Incest, murder,cheating. What digidestined are gulty having their children, even Kirito and Asuna are safe. Digimon should be another top.

Sorato may not be a toxic relationship, but it still came from nowhere and it's kinda shoe-horn. A couple doesn't need to have murder attempts to be lame. Besides, I think this top talks about popular/classic ships, so that's why they were included.But yeah, there are many other worse ships than those two.

I don't hate this couple. I dislike the way it was so fast becoming a couple. After a few episodes, they became a couple from season 1.

Sorato did have some moments but it was mainly subtle which is still a cop out and Till the point that non of writers noticed the sorato directors intentions.  one writer got sooo upset that he begged an animator of the revenge of diaboromon movie to add in a few taiora scenes. And i agree sorato may not be toxic but its still a very badly written ship it deserves to be on that list but not as high as other toxic ships. 

 

I just look at tv tropes and checked adventure 02 ymnv section apparently kakudou more incompetent then we thought. Apparently he wanted to  give sorato a stronger bond in 02 but he couldn't because sora and matt had to be regulated to extras rather then being in the main cast for some reason.   I know there was executive meddling going on between the head writers of the 02 series but kakudou is the main director why couldn't he tell the head writers to lay it off?  Thats just sooo stupid of him so technically he agreed with the writers that matt and sora should be relegated to extras and because they are regulated to extras they can't have any chemistry whatsoever? But than again this is same idiot who didn't tell any of the writing staff that sorato is the pairing he wanted and only put subtly in sorato rather than actual strong chem because apparently thats too obvious.

I very much agree and Another thing i would like to mentioned is that he is very incompetent director. very bad at telling his plans ahead of time and give poor excuses of why certain things weren't as developed that well. As a i mentioned above regarding sorato.

Yeah, they had moments in 02, the same season that made them canon, but we didn't see any development before that. They were attracted to each other all of a sudden. He helped her in 01 when she was depressed and stuff, but Joe was there as well. She practically had a whole episode working together with Joe and yet we barely see anything about that ship xD When she was upset because her crest wasn't glowing, Matt didn't say anything (even though he "understood" her position) Sora isn't the kind of person you shall leave alone in order to be better. Even in Tri, when she was sad about Biyomon, Matt tried to convince Tai to give her some support instead of doing something on his own (apart from following her, lol)

 Yeah the way the became a couple was pretty shallow, and it doesn't seem to be anything more that just surface level attraction because I don't feel any deep connection between them than hearsay from other characters

What other thing could be these characters are very different as we know them, then where are the others. I think they fell for Illusion, my theory is that right now they are fighting someone who made them to dream. Then the other kids will save them.

I want to ask a interesting question. If you were the director of a show you created and you know you have two head writers of your show that don't get along due to differing ideas would you agree with some of the writing choice they might make? or would stop and think what those writing decisions might cause if its bad development for the pairing you want and characters you wanna develop and the plot in general. Also does anyone know if you can fire head writer or writer if you don't agree with them?
