I'd say that's pretty apparent.

She probably realizes all the pain she's put Naruto through because of Sasuke (and its about damned time too).

Very true. I just didn't expect her crying over it all (or even Sai saying something) to take up half a page. Then again, this is a massive turning point for her and I'm happy to see that it's probably going to get the emphasis and attention it deserves. Her realizing just how much Naruto has gone through for her and Sasuke and, even more importantly, how much farther he's willing to go is really nothing short of major.

But wow...The epic Kage meeting and yet another positive development for NaruSaku. I seriously haven't been this stoked for a chapter since probably 450 laugh.gif

wow. Sai looks like he is laying into her. Geeze I'm not one to be picky but, I hope guilt is not the only way for her to come to terms with her feelings...

I'm pretty sure Sakura realized the depth of Naruto's feelings for her the moment he made the POAL to her.

However, it's one thing to know about it and a completely other thing to actually be told by another person about it. It'll make you feel that much worse, especially from the way Sai is telling her.

Wow, intense.

But "Sai: Naruto is suffering because of Sasuke but... what about you?" - I still don't get that sentence. What is Sai meaning? That Sakura is suffering because of someone else than Sasuke? I mean, would'nt it make more sense if Sai said that Naruto is also suffering because of Sakura? I don't get it.

P.S.: Sai is my second favorite character after Gaara, maybe even my favorite since the very first moment he was introduced. So I just wanted to say I'm from the "I liked him right from the beginning" club as well. wink.gif

The way that it's worded, Sai seems to be asking whether or not Sakura is also suffering because of Sasuke. Interpret as romantic intentions or not, the point Sai is trying to make, I think, is whether or not Sakura is trying to carry any kind of load to help Naruto with retrieving/the memory of Sasuke.

And, yes, Sai does essentially say that Sakura, other than Sasuke, is the primary reason for Naruto's suffering.

Wow, Sai is really laying into Sakura when he compares Naruto's promise with his own curse seal. It's true though, Naruto will keep trying to fulfil his promise until Sakura tells him to stop (if she can make him stop), or until the day he dies.

Poor Sakura. She really needs a hug. ;_; I also wonder what the spoiler means by Sakura "realising".

Can't wait to read the scene in full tomorrow morning!

Bleh. Other fandoms are spewing the vitrol, from what I'm hearing. Crap like "omg i hop kishi noes hez lozin part of fanbase imma givin up Naruto forevah!!!!"

As if ceasing to illegally read translated chapters they pay nothing for would really hurt the man.

Sometimes I wish Kishi would do an interview and pull a Peter Laird, making a dig at the overzealous "fans" of the particular product. Sometimes a fanbase needs a good swift swat. A blow to the ego, as it were.

My general rule of never visiting general forums has only been reinforced by what I'm hearing.

Thank You! I am sure he appreciates all of his fans, but I doubt he is going to lose sleep (or money) over a bunch of "fans" who read his manga illegaly. To think that i've heard people say that is a strong potential reason for Kishi to choose his or her pairing.

Heck. I was under the impression that the majority of his fans were 13 year old boys who could not give a hoot about who is kissing who.

Ouch. I think I'll keep staying away from NarutoForums, then.

Well, if they didn't pay attention to the big yellow truck trundling towards them over the past years, it's really their own fault, to be honest.

"Don't be stupid, Naruto no longer loves Sakura!" "Sakura hates Naruto!" "Ew, NaruSaku is like incest!" "Sasuke loves Saku-"*CRUNCHING BONES*

Denial just makes the inevitable very painful.

Honestly, I really don't mind if people like NaruHina, SasuSaku, NaruSasu, LeeSaku, or whatever their pairing is. I just wish they would stop trying to twist or deny what is there in black and white on the manga pages. Kishimoto planned this all along, right from Chapter 3. Please, deal with it. It's not going to stop you from enjoying fanfics/fanarts of your pairings, is it?

End of rant. Let's just look forward to reading more Naruto. smile.gif

What makes the threat even more laughable is the fact that they never actually stop. All too often someone throws out the threat of dropping something but almost never do. It's hollow, no matter what the series.

That it's such a commonly used threat - threat to whom I'll never figure out, considering the people involved would never see it - in things American and Japanese is rather sad.

Well, it's a shounen manga, so yeah, I doubt that impression is all that far from the truth. Really, the strengthening relationship between Naruto and Sakura has been a subplot Kishi's been building. Aside from that one, romantic interactions don't often factor in for this exact reason. The caveat is that NaruSaku is also not a MAJOR focus, as the series main plotlines don't really involve it too much.

So NaruSaku is a subplot, really, that isn't something the manga makes a huge deal out of thanks to it's status as shounen. But you know, that's alright with me. Sometimes the subplots can be as well done and important as anything given the bulk of the focus in almost any story.

Quoted for mother****ing truth.

This has been my stance on many pairings wars. You, sir, are my hero for the day. It's simply nice to see someone else who takes such an excellent approach and viewpoint on the entire thing.

Are people seriously buying that "Sai guilt-tripping Sakura into loving Naruto" crap?

Do they really think that it works that way?

She actually already told him to stop a few times. (Back when he was 4 tails) So I guess she can't really make him stop. Well, maybe if she tells him when he is not in 4 tails mode. tongue.gif

No, it has nothing to do with Sakura loving Naruto because she feels guilty. But Sai's speak may make her think about what Naruto actually does for her and how big his feelings for her are. Maybe she finally understands who she should really love. Not the man who acts cool and is good looking, but the man who really loves her, protects her and does everything to make her happy.

EDIT: Sorry for the double post!

I bet some do... But that wouldn't be love, would it? They're probably too disappointed to think about right now and in all honesty I can understand that...

The only thing important to me would be that even though Sakura feels guilty and not that someone tries to blame her for Naruto's feelings.
I hope it won't play out that way (but I doubt that Sai intended to do that).
If Sai's talking gets both Naruto and Sakura to think about their situation would be great though... It was cool to see how comfortable they have become as friends and teammates but they've become so close, that
they should seriously think about where they stand right now.

I've noticed a lot of people just talked about Gaara sitting calmly during that bodyguard intervention page, no one's talked about Mizukage sitting calmly too? XD
As to Sai, well, it's in his nature to go talk to Sakura about this. I think it's because of his general lack of emotions and his subsequent learning of them that's compelling him to give this talk. While it is for Naruto's benefit, I think it's also important for his character development to learn about these kinds of feelings, so in a way, he's using his teammates as a model, as well as to finally bringing out these repressed emotions out in the open.
Also, won't it be cool if Tsunade WAS in a coma nearby and she wakes up like all "Sakura...don't make...the same mistake I do...."(in regards to Jiraiya)!?
And this is why, I've always known, that Sai has always been a better member than Sasuke will ever be. It's what I've thought of him since Sasuke's first Shippuden appearance, and he's always proved himself so after that.

Forgive me if anybody said this before, but could it be also why Sakura is crying is that she realizes that she still feels that she hasn't made good on her promise to bring back Sasuke for Naruto. Just my assumption, but I feel both of them are suffering because of they couldnt keep their promises to each other. It pains me to see her cry......I look back a few chapters where she tries to keep Naruto happy but realizes she is the one who needs cheering up...and Naruto last chapter smiling, yet pained because he is failing in his promises.......

yeah rambling again.... tongue.gif

I wish it can happen, but it won't. They're still going to complain, whine, bash, w/e that their pairing won't be canon for the series because they believed that Kishimoto is going to hear their cries/pleads, which he can't and won't. And it will get worse if we have a NaruSaku kiss scene (which may happen soon...) with the added words "The End." I'm telling you, many fans these days are so damn selfish and acting like little kids (and many of them are actual kids).
