Dan Gilbert went overboard.

It's stupid really, the coaches should realise the players go for the biggest paid contracts.

Yeah I agree, it is pretty stupid. I mean, if it were anyone else he probably wouldn't have given a crap.

I don't like basketball. I don't like the NBA.

This whole Lebron fiasco has made me dislike it even more.

It seems pretty embarrassing for the sport when a (star) player holds a press conference like that... but it's even more embarrassing that the media and the league supported it.
Pretty bored.

Well often true, it doesn't explain this case. LeBron's biggest paid contract would have been Cleveland. They had the ability to offer him the most money.

Lebron is probably going to take a 30 million pay cut to be with Bosch and Wade, he wants a championship badly, but immortality is a strange thing to have.

Necropost!

Anyway. NBA Playoffs are underway. Who are you guys going for?

I REALLY REALLY REALLY want the Heat to lose against the Celtics. I hope the Lakers lose too.

As long as the Bulls or Celtics (preferably Bulls) win the Title this year, I'll be a happy man. ROSE FOR MVP!!

The Mavs.

Watching them blow that lead in Game 4....sad thing was, I knew they'd do it.

LOL. I feel bad for Dirk and J.Kidd, but I really don't like Cuban. D:

Update - Spurs beat the Grizzlies in a close OT game. Game 6 on Friday; Grizzlies up 3-2.

Also, Boston vs. Miami for Conf. Semis... Go Celtics!

As a person who lived through the 90's Mavs it's really hard for me to hate Cuban. The 90's were so bad for them their own paper called them the worst team of the decade for all major sports.

The Mavericks hurt me so much...I just can not bear to listen to my local sports talk in Dallas during the playoffs. So many bad memories...
So long to Texas University!

I know. I didn't watch most of Game 5 because I was convinced they'd blow it. Years of watching them and the Rangers has taught me there is no lead that is big enough that they can't blow.

Well I was pleasantly surprised at the grit displayed at the Rose Garden yesterday. I still think Dirk has to do waayyyy to much to win. Too bad the Mavs don't have an answer for Bynum next round. Lakers in 5.

I'm worried about Boston vs. Miami. I hope Boston evens it out at home!

In Dirk we trust.

Wish I could go...haven't been since 2005 or so. Then again, I haven't lived in Dallas since O6.
