thats actually a very poor argument, im pretty sure there have been other mangas that have proved that too, however ive only read naruto and bleach so i wouldnt know lol
although thanks too juujuu and aethos i think it was, im probably going to start one piece one day

the only thing i may not ever be able to get over is the tiny problem of sasuke having tried to kill them, especially the whole trying to kill naruto twice (granted, he let naruto live at the valley of the end, but the fact he aimed a chidori at narutos heart and the only thing that saved naruto was being able to call upon kyuubi and knocking sasukes hand out of the way so it only pierced his chest/shoulder)
hmm, maybe that problem isnt as tiny as i thought

I disagree. I feel its a very valid arguement. Here, I'll cite examples of where the main character gets the girl (unless the main character is the girl).
Every Superman movie
Spiderman trilogy
The live-action Hellboy movie
Romeo Must Die
Titan A.E.
Star Wars franchise (books and films)
The Abyss
Bulletproof Monk
The American Godzilla film (the New York City one)
The Core
Every Bond film
The Librarian: Quest For The Spear
Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire
The Mummy trilogy
Die Hard
The Matrix
Independence Day
I, Robot
The Fifth Element
Should I go on? I would have put more anyways, but its 0347 in the morning here.

SasuSaku is about the not so popular girl liking the popular guy who dosn't give a crap about anyone. This has been used hundreds of times before in both Manga, Anime and Songs too. The only thing is that this is a SHOJO pairing. It's angsty and then fluffy when the guy finally caves in and they date.
You have to understand that the pairings attract people who are most similar to the characters. SasuSaku for example has a lot (not everyone by far, but there are some) of girls who liked the popular guy in school but don't get any attention from him.
Same goes with NaruHina, as it's a having feelings for someone who only likes you as a friend.
Anyways, our pairing has been used just as much as SasuSaku has but the main difference is it's a SHONEN pairing that fits with our manga. It's romantic moments are usually followed by comedy to lighten the mood but tend to still stay valid.
I can count many a Anime where this has happened but the big one's are Ranma and DBZ. It's there to supliment the action in small doses by giving the character something to strive for/protect.
So it's not really that the main guy gets the main girl but that our pairing itself tends to be a shonen pairing.

as far as I'm concerned, I don't think this argument is really valid. No offense really, but up till now, I never heard Naruto being an American-made film which are the case for most of the films that you listed. but I do agree that you provide a lil bit of an argument, that "Main character gets the Girl he wants" is a classic and most well-known shipping ever done but no more than that. For all we know, Kishi may put a funny twist and have Naruto with Ayame or any other random female character. Heck, even Harem have a chance to happen if Kishi really wants to.

But I can't see SasuSaku without Sasuke having to do a complete 180.
And In my opinion Sakura's feelings for Sasuke was an immature crush.
It didn't really go past the fact that she thought he was cool.
I dunno, I hope it doesn't happen.

Although i hate to say it im pretty sure sakura did love sasuke and maybe still does, however with that said, i got no idea why she would be, im not trying to bash here, but theres not exactly any decent qualities in sasuke, so i got no idea why she would love him, really i think it was just a plot device kishi made so he could show how much sakura would grow in part 2 and beyond.

I can't recall her liking him for anything more than thinking he's 'hot' and 'cool'.
Hm...i wonder...

Also the reason she continued to like him (as stated in chapter 3) was that she thought he was just shy about his feelings and girls in general.
Thats why I think that chapter 181 was the end of SasuSaku. The look on her face when she asked him why he hated her told me that she was finally coming out of her fairytale dream about Sasuke and starting to see who he really is.

For one, these are all American films/media, which has no basis in Japanese manga. Second, there are plenty of manga you can find in which the main character does not end up with the main supporting female. Many manga end pairing-less, you have manga in which the main character ends up with a more minor character (such as DBZ), you have manga where the main character ends up alone (GTO, Those Who Hunt Elves, etc.)
Most importantly, it's always a bad idea to base something in the manga on something unrelated to it. All the works you cited have absolutely nothing to do with Naruto. Masashi Kishimoto could decide he wants to be different than all the works you cite.
To answer topic: People can say whatever they want. Does SasuSaku still have a decent chance of happening? No, it's not looking good. Sakura is the furthest thing from Sasuke's mind at this point, and Sakura's thoughts have been bending more and more toward Naruto than Sasuke lately. Ultimately, pursuing Sasuke is more Naruto's endeavor than Sakura's at this point.

that's what I think.
But there is a chance SasuSaku can be revived but I personally don't see how.

I would say it was a little later in Chapter 236, when she's telling Naruto it's alright to give up on the promise. After that she only seems to think of Sasuke in the context of Team 7.
The break-up scene is important and the end more or less of SasuSaku, but her feelings aren't resolved until 236. NaruSaku has alot going it for it beforehand, but this is when she can finally start moving on from Sasuke.

Probably not, although we havent seen much of her in part 2 so we cant really say yes or no. I lean towards no because it would make more sense.

True, but Abel does have a good point; however, so do you guys. Even if the main character is married off to a minor girl or doesn't pair up with anybody, it usually is that way because pairing them up with another girl doesn't make sense to them.
I could have never saw Bulma paired up with Goku, she was too different from him, but Chichi made sense to me, probably because Chichi was raised away from a city like Bulma was raised in, or something.

Well... back when DB started, Bulma was 13-15, while Goku was around 6-7. You think Toriyama-san paired them up when in reality, they was very young and not worried about love (well excluding Bulma, of course

What's Happening with the Naruto series as of now!

Er, I thought Goku was 12, and Bulma was 16.
