Yeah, the hardcore NaruHinas are the worst! They keep thinking that if Hinata suddenly declares her love for Naruto, he'll sweep her off her feet. Tch.

I'm not Naruto, but if a girl declared her love for me and I didn't really see her as any more than a friend, I would gently let her down.

I think it may turn out to be more like Naruto and Sakura get closer, and Hinata feels sad - Kiba/Shino come in and help her feel better!

At least the SasuSakus pretty much know their pairing has no real chance, and only a few of them still say they can get together (and most haven't read the manga).

But the hardcore NaruHinas... geez... They're now on Plan B - LeeSaku! If Tenten and Lee get together, what next for them? NejiSaku? KibaSaku? ShinoSaku?

The more backup pairings they go for, the more silly their pairing looks. The more unlikely NaruHina becomes, in a way.

Now, I would like to say I'm not having a go at those who just think NaruHina is cute and aren't Sakura haters. It's just those who hate Sakura and think only Hinata deserves Naruto... and think it WILL happen!

Heh, the recent manga chapter BLASTED THE HELL OUT OF 'EM!! They're all like:

Ugh. I don't like those. Not one bit. From my experiance - although you've been in the fandom longer than I! - It seems that they really like Hinata. I think they like her too much, sometimes. Anyways. They love her. Then they conveniantly hate Sakura. Hate is never the word they use. They say they don't really care about her or anything like that, but then their sig as an anti - Sakura banner. Bugs me to no end.

The latest chapter shows Sasuke walking to the darkness, and Naruto in the light... now who's the real hero? It's so obvious that Kishimoto is going to set Naruto up to become the hero of legend - a future Hokage.

Of course, Naruto has always had it in him, but I think this failure will help to temper his rashness and let him mature a lot.

As for Sasuke, he's chosen to be alone and run off to his new master. His betrayal, coupled with his lack of feelings for Sakura and his admission that Naruto is his closest friend, has pretty much buried SasuSaku.

Regarding LeeSaku... we know that's just panic on the NaruHina's behalf. Sakura only sees him as a friend, and I think Lee is slowly getting over his crush and settling for being friends.

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if Lee knew something about Sakura after Naruto left. It's possible that she talked about her realisations with Lee and/or Ino, and he wanted to help ensure Naruto would be OK so Sakura could be happy. I realise I'm REALLY going out on a limb, but it would be pretty cool.

They do like Hinata a LOT! In my experience, they've clung onto the Neji/Hinata arc and made it seem more important than others. All the NaruHina hints are just in that arc, and are all one-sided admiration. And because she stood up to Neji, the Hinata fans conclude that she is the strongest female genin and therefore the best!

The fact that there are NaruSaku hints across almost all arcs is unimportant to them.

That's why I can't read NaruHinas. Because they either:

a ) Make Sakura look like a b*tch or make her disappear.
b ) Play down Naruto's feelings.
c ) Both of the above.

I read this recent fic. It was starting off OK, but then I saw a conversation between Naruto and Konohamaru. Konohamaru tells him that Sakura is with Lee, and Naruto just says "Oh?" and shrugs it off!

The real Naruto would be crushed.

And as you know, SasuSaku just sends horrible shivers down my spine. It's the same feeling you get when you touch something slimy and disgusting. I find a lot of SasuSaku fics are "angsty love". Oh please.

Agreed. The only ones who think that Sasuke is still a brave and cool hero are. . . the ones making the anime, perhapers?

Now that I think about it, though, I'm not sure I ever liked Sasuke. Oh wait. . . I liked him for a few chapters. When he found out about Itachi wanting Naruto for himself, he just flipped out and was all, 'NO! NARUTO BELONG TO SASUKE!' and then rolled off to crush Itachi. Er, well, that scene. . . I liked him during that.

That's something I really hate about N***H*** and S***S*** fics. They never explain where these new feelings come from! They'll open the fic with Sasuke mooning over Sakura, with no telling how the hell his feelings did a 180. And then they make Naruto over Sakura (Sadly, no not the way my perverted mind takes it. If it was that way, then I think I'd read them all!), when the manga is showing the opposite - That Naruto's feelings for Sakura are growing stronger.

As we all know... KakaSaku is just plain wrong. There is absolutely no basis for it AND it's just... not right.

And I have to say this; Sakura wouldn't stand a chance against Inner Kyuubi.

Yeah, I know what you mean Aethos. Favourtism, selective memory, and double standards.

It's like telling someone not to cheat at chess but doing so yourself.

I find a lot of fans take a two-dimensonal view of the characters in Naruto, and they do not consider the most important aspect - depth.

For example, they bash Sakura as useless. But it is shown that she is the SAME as Naruto deep inside, and revealed she has excellent chakra control and a lot of potential in genjutsu. The only thing choking her development is her crush on Sasuke.

Once she gets over that, becomes herself and trains hard, I'm sure Sakura will be an excellent character.

And they see Sasuke as this ice-cool character who's very skilled, the kind of guy they want to be. But they paint an idealised picture of him and don't really consider the darkness he had in his heart from the very beginning of the series.

He's obviously being set up as a future threat to Konoha. He won't be able to severe all his bonds - he'll at least still have the one with Naruto and probably even Sakura and Kakashi as well. But his determination to kill Itachi is greater and he WILL fight his old friends if he has to.

The series revolves around Naruto, the true hero. You can see the recent chapters are really highlighting the difference between him and Sasuke. Naruto has already done a lot of good and brave deeds - so I think the series is going to start to elevate Naruto's status even higher in the village.

Sasuke is his rival and possibly his greatest enemy. Sakura will be his companion and possibly his true love. We're going to see Naruto really begin his path to become the hero of Konoha and greatest Hokage of all time.

With all this setup, the series has the potential to create one of the greatest heroes in anime and one of the greatest villains as well as one of the best romantic pairings ever. I just hope it works out that way!

OMGOSH! i was looking at the new sites on anipike for naruto (which they finally fixed) and there was a pairing fanlisting, and i actually DONT like fanlistings....they annoy the poop out of me. but i went to check it out. and it was okay, you pick a little avatar for your favorite pairing. understandably they had like....a bazill for naruto/sasuke *barfs* ....but get this...they HAD ONE for naruto/sakura...and TWO FOR KAKASHI/NARUTO OMG OMG OMG AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH piss-ometer-full-blast.
