Like last chapter, I'll share the interactions going on between Hachimaru and Ann to see where it stands with Kishi as a writer (since you know one of his biggest areas of weakness from doing Naruto):

Story wise it' definitely intriguing for sure for both of the characters in terms of what they have to do, and I said this in my live reaction that there is potential for a solid romance here it just depends on the endgame of the series cause you know bad memories from the past has a way of seeping in.   

 

 

 

 

This might just be me, but like last chapter I got a few more Sakura vibes from Ann too which is really nice especially with her concentrating!

Woah ... you posting 90% of the chapter content / panel here ? I see you already hooked and crazy about this manga already .

 

Somehow i got reminded early shippuuden , from Gaara rescue arc to Tenchi Bridge arc. NS moment flood ..... maybe it's just me but , looking at all those images i can see that Kishi saying "i'm sorry" , it's written all over each pages. I'm just waiting when Sasuke and the eye power show up I mean there's no doubt at least Sasuke like character will show up knowing Kishi's love for Sasuke.

haha I wouldn't say crazy, but very intrigued would be the words I'd use... Plus I already told myself if things start going off south it's abandon ship! lol \

 

 

As far as the whole Hachi and Ann moments go, I'm just sharing what's their it just happened to be 90%   that's an interesting point you've brought up now that I think about it looking at them kinda does give that early shippuden feel we got with NaruSaku way back when. I'm just glad Ann's not entirely like how Hinata was, or how Sakura was in the beginning. This might just be me, but I feel like Kishi took what people liked about both characters (personality wise) and incorporated them into Ann.  So far so good.  If this is Kishi's way of saying "I f'd up really bad I'm sorry.." my response will be give me till the end of the manga to see how much forgiveness you'll earn back from me lol 

 

 

 

 

I just realized Hachi and Ann have their own bench scene.... I see what Kishi's doing (correcting the sins of the past) 

 

Right, I'd be surprised if a Sasuke like character doesn't show up in the series...  my best friend told me he's 95% there won't be a sasuke like character in this series. We'll see how true that actually ends up being

Apparently the reason the princess are so important is they can find those locker ball through some sensor ability. You need locker ball to make cyber samurai. So wars were fought in the past to get as many princess as possible to find these balls, and so samurai must protect their fated princess. So they can find balls. So more samurai can be created. So the country/star's military power can grow. Great, he has already reintroduce those politics again.

 

Ann found one so Daruma send them to go dig it up. Then afterward they pretty much go on a date. Ann asked things about him since he already defeat those...dojo hunters...the guys with the tank. He must have been trained in some military unit or dojo. He is embarrassed; so he lies.

 

Villain from like two weeks ago is still slowly coming to the planet. I guess he is searching for Hachi's dad. Since it been hinted pretty clearly he used to be a samurai or something.

 

With how he has been beating the readers' over the head about how Hachi must stick with his princess. I think how Naruto ended may have given Kishimoto some form of PTSD.

 

Yeah, I don't  like BEING TOLD about about how a relationship is is suppose to develop and having that relationship forced down my throat. I prefer to see it develop organically and for the behaviour to occur naturally around each other without others FORCING the issue. that said, I will be more lenient here considering Hachimaru seems to have never interacted with a girl in his life,(I don't think Nanashi counts, per say) and Ann seems to be more tsundere-ish than were lead initially to believe .

 

On the subject of Kishi, I'd be more sympathetic to how he is feeling if that were true but honestly, his "regrets" with Naruto are mostly self inflicted. He should have had more faith in what he was writing instead of trying to please everybody, should NOT take youtuber's (sawyer7mage) comments at face value, and most of all he SHOULD HAVE concluded the series properly himeself and not hand the pencil and pen to anyone else. That is all I will say on the matter.

funny thing is, if Kishi just kept the story going in his original direction with Naruto being with Sakura-Chan. It would have actually seemed like he could write decent romance. But since he bent over, his romance writing is being dragged through the mud. He hurt himself by not being himself.

Like I said the way it comes off is both him clearly stating to any of his editor from now on, "I'm NOT changing this pairing," and to the readers, "I am not changing the pairing this at the last moment like with Naruto," and to his wife "Honey, I am not humiliating you like they made me do last time."

 

Normally? Yes, I would find it annoying he is beating everyone over the head with this, but because of how Naruto ended all I can think of is; "How much harassment did the editors put him through before he finally bent to their will, and how bad was the backlash? That he feels he must do this?"

Kishimoto can write romance, it is part of the reason NS was liked by a lot of people. The problem was that he treated it like a standard Shounen romance; ie no settling until the ending. So he was always somewhat tepid with it, and after the new editors started pushing Hinata. Well, he had to keep one foot tepidly in both camps. until the editor forced him to choose hinata.

 

Now that the backlash happened, and he probably got letters from people telling him they actually loved the NS romance; the opposite of what his editors for years told him so they could get the ending they wanted. Well, he going all in on the romance now.

Just analyzing what I'm seeing is all I'm doing, and sharing the shipping side of things cause I know some people would be curious along with the story aspect to some degree.

 

 

Plus  I already said that if things go south, immediate jump no questions asked. 

 

That and I'm willing to give Kishi a chance in terms of his writing after what's it been now like 5 years or so.

Of course Kishi can write romance. the problem was not the writing itself but the fact that he made the Naruto X Sakura romance with two distinct separate love triangles that made no sense and the two third parties  in question are characters with ANNOYING fanbases that objectify the characters and and contrary to what they say, don't give a $#!& about anything except their own personal vicarious gratification that they project on to these characters.

 

Naruto must marry Hinata because "she has the ideal waifu personality and was always in love with him" Sasuke must marry Sakura because "she always loved him and he must keep that prude from the most romantic relationship in all of manga history, NaruHina". Those ideas were the problem and the fact that editors, executives, etc. were using those ideas as ammunition against Kishi, not to mention that he gave in eventually is where this all went down hill. Now again I say that this is largely (not not entirely) self inflicted on himself, but I can at least appreciate that he is trying to make up for his short comings with Naruto in this series.

 

That said, Again I will just be on the fence for the time being to give this series a shot because I don't think the damage that has been done could convince me to read it but I may give it a chance if I am acutally impressed by what I hear here. Ultimately however, I don't imagine I would be spending money on this series if I follow it.

I always said I ain't supporting Kishi until he gets the balls to fix Naruto, and I'm sticking to that. When he fixes Naruto, I will buy all the volumes, and buy all the Samurai 8 volumes as bonus. Until then, he could eat a kitten.

S/N: his drawing style has completely changed. If I didn't know it was Kishimoto's story, I wouldn't have guessed it was his Manga.

I never / didn't mean to extinguish your spirit , i'm really glad we have someone willing to be ... kind of test subject , like you and bail. I don't wanna read any of kishi's work or boruto related stuff , i just want to join the fun of laughing at how stupid their story (Boruto) is.

 

Bold : Well ... if things go south in chapter 695-ish / nearing the end of the story , and by that time you already too deep and hooked / love the story , isn't that repeating the same mistake ? . I mean obviously if i were Kishi and i know i'm F-ed big time with Naruto , the first phase of my plan is to lick (NS = japanese) fan that already leave , i'm gonna make it look's like i learn my mistake. And voila ... he succeeded! at least one soul he got back!

Yeah I wouldn't bring up the endgame of the series as the tipping point for a romance from kishi. This series is a little different in that the characters don't have a choice since it was their destiny from birth
