Here are my bets in order to be Ash's wife by the true end at least his ending.

 

Serena, Misty and Dawn.

Pokemon has been at the formula for a while now i kinda wish they would do something new with the characters and the problem is Ash at this point is too established as the mc of the series and replacing him would be hard.

 

Since ash is mostly not gonna end up with anyone they should ship tease the herione with someone else for each new region.

You know I ship Ash and Serena and how I want them to end up together (though i get this likely feeling it won't happen), but I was just curious aside from Amourshipping was there another person you would pair Ash with?.

My cousin Ria believes that there might be like a "promise of a lifetime situation" only added with a kiss on the cheek from Serena's part before he heads back home.  The second option which I kinda support is that Serena travels with him to the next adventure... I know it's not going to happen, but this honestly feels like Ash's final journey.

This or Something will happen in the Airport, probably Ash will return the handkerchief promising is going to come back . If my guess is right  will be similar  the scene in the anime call CCS.

Well old shchool fans like us have felt this since the end of Johto lol. I can't argue for Kanto cause that was his first league and the original plan wasn't for it to be this long

Well the gyms and leagues are canon. and Kanto was the best in terms of plot and themes, though not actual battles. Plus there was a lot of abnormalities like the pokedex having a programmed personality to make snide remarks

First league was shocking to me because you know, the hero always win, but he didn't. I was like "WHAT! He didn't win!?" Hell if it happened now, I would say, "Take note, Fairy Tail. It's not always sunshine and rainbow."

Well admittedly it's the same concept isn't it? Ash has lost enough for you to expect him to lose so it's not that it's really any better than Fairy Tail it's just doing the opposite. It's not really a problem of Optimism or realism but the fact that something is over done to the point of expecting it. The most interesting writing is betraying the expectations given.

Well, it was the first time and yeah, it is done more often now, but I think my childhood was trained for triumphant victory since we followed our hero as narrator likes to point out. Then he lost. It's like comic book, the first time it happened is shocking and more memorable than anything after that.

One gripe as of now is that Fairy Tail hasn't gotten a true despair moment or struggle that really wants you to cheer them. Not sure if you saw OPM, but one character got me rooting so much and I know he was going to lose but why then. Writing skill. That said Pokemon most likely overplay that aspect but it still happened.
