I always said how much I wanted Naruto to end. This series has gone on for so long and I just wanted to see the ending already. I started watching the anime when I was nine and now I'm sixteen, a junior in high school, and starting to think about college and my adult career. I've been following this series for so many years, some of you much longer than me, and to hear that it's ending in just five chapters ... you just can't really believe it.

 

I've haven't finished my Naruto fanfics yet and I still had a few more story ideas to publish I hope I would get done before the story was over ... but oh well.  I'lll still publish them all eventually and finish my remaining ones, no matter if NaruSaku doesn't happen or not.

 

I never thought I would be, but I'm actually pretty sad. I'll be happy to finally see how it all ends, but at the same time it would be weird not having another chapter to look forward to every week. Whatever happens pairing-wise, we invested a lot in this series and it's always a little heartbreaking to see one of your favorites end. The bittersweet feeling is painful.

 

But nothing lasts forever, I guess. Naruto needed to end sometime. Kishimoto gave us something to love about this series at one point and I still have respect for his work.

 

 I'll follow this series through 'til the end and see what Kishimoto does, even if I end up not liking his final decisions.

No matter how this show ends, or when it will end, I don't think I'll stop shipping NaruSaku. There are so many reasons why I love this couple, so for me, my love for NaruSaku will never end <3

Sigh l'm going to be crying for days now. I literally grew up watching this, it was my childhood. Haha, i even got bullied for obsessing over it lol. Sigh, the last chapter will kill half of me sghhhhh. :/

We might have the type of ending where a picture is shown with Naruto and Sakura holding they're son and daughter.

 

 

I remember Kishi promising that Naruto will end with the main character becoming Hokage. I don't see that happening in just 5 chapters :/

 

The only thing I can see happening is the November, December, January break, then the manga continues with part 3.

I think the ending hasn't been botched but it held a lot more promise before the Shinobi world war arc and the announcement of the movie. The movie takes away from the suspense of the ending but also Sasuke's reasoning. Before when he was Ax Crazy you believed that he might actually be willing to kill Naruto. But now his madness mantras aren't as effective or believable as before.

 

Finally the other part of the ending that I hav heard ppl voice their frustration over is Sakura's character arc. Thoughout the manga Sasuke has always been Sakura's Achilles Heel. For a while it looked like she had gotten over him to an extent but than of course 693 came along and brought it into question. Now Imo she still will get over Sasuke but I hav to agree that the moment she does will not be as satisfying or credible as it should hav been. We were told numerous times and anyone with a set of eyes could see that Sakura should never even have "loved" Sasuke. But to put it simply, while the reasons and cause for why she should be over have been established, the journey towards that outcome has not even been addressed. I had always hoped that Sakura would hav a moment like this with Sasuke: 

 

 

In the above scene the girl in question beats up the protagonist for not respecting her. But instead of coming off as weak, she comes off as strong. This is bc despite crying she is saying that she wants a guy to like her for her, not because of her looks. But in reality it shows that she values herself as a person. Sakura has never really done this, especially where Sasuke is involved. In the last chapter she called herself pathetic and cried again. I still love Sakura but I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed with her character arc.

Well, just have to wait until next chapter to see how these last few chapters will go.  I kinda makes sense though that Naruto vs. Sasuke will be the shortest fight of the war.  We went through Obito, Ten tails, Madara and Kaguya all at once.  Surely, Kishimoto himself can't expect to have his audience go through another battle right after all that, unless it's short and sweet.  I guess the question is will it be sweet?  Then there's the epilogue on top of that. . .

I didnt really wanted the series to be finished so fast . Its just so much inspiring and entertaining and .. u know . This series really means so much to me. I am watching the series from 9 years and shipping narusaku for 7 years i just dont want it toend not right now.

5 chapter to end up the whole thing. I don't know , is it me or the ending really gonna be rushed. (will it end with Naruto and Sasuke fight for 4 chapter, than they break everyone from tsukuyomi)

 

Honestly 5 chapter, even if the fight will last for 1 or 2 chapter. I feel like this is a rush ending. A part of me wanted it to end, but honestly I have really mixed feeling about it.

 

The end of an era at the same time lol. The movie should resolve the pairing isssue I guess. Since I don't see it resolve in a remaining 5 chapter. I thought the fight would last 8 chapter, so to learn it all end 5, I'm like WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT.

 

Oh well, it's been fun and I jus hope the 5 chapter will end it for the best unless there is a part 3, but I don't suppose see it coming.

So, Naruto is coming to an end. I'll admit, I'm not super sad. Just, relieved. I just hope Kishi doesn't make it rushed like crazy. I hate a rushed ending. But with the ending coming near, NS might ( I would say will, but ) become canon, and then SS and NH fans won't be all like NH and SS are canon and whatever. I'm gonna miss all of Naruto, but THAT I will not miss.

I know it's evil, but NH really had an awful fanbase, acting all agressive and mighty when you dare mentioning their ship may not happen. SS fanbase is like a den of angels compared to them (probably due to the fact it is mostly a female ship).

To be honest guys, I'm still amazed by some crazy fans.

I really don't understand how they couldn't understand this story. To me, it's so clear. I just can't see it otherwise.

You know when you write a story, the first thing you think, as a writer, that is the purpose of the story. The end is the safest thing in the minds of many writers. It's the same for mangaka. Create a story implies that you know where you're going. Otherwise, the direction is not clear from the start. What was not clear in the head of Kishi was the process to get to that end. // Hence the elements a little weird in the story, which may come from Kishi's indecision about the process, but that may come, IMO, mostly from the editor to make it last, for the money, or for a particular character included in an arc while this was not planned. Hinata anyone ?

 

Kishi already said in an interview that Kushina was like his wife, I mean, the math is not complicated to make. LOL
It's obvious he loves scary women, and it's obvious he's writing about what he actually knows and loves. NaruSaku was clear from the beginning IMO.

It is clear that a mangaka who works on a shonen in which the hero is supposed to become Hokage has already decided of the end. This is a shonen, there's no big surprise, the end is easy to guess. If it's so easy to guess, it is because it shows through in the work of presenting the characters at the beginning of the manga. For those who read a lot of manga, it's easy. When he sets the scene at the beginning, with the problems he has created, it is obviously to solve all this in the end. This is the basic requisite of any good story.

- Naruto good for nothing, that has the crazy dream of becoming Hokage // we obviously know that all this will change to become the opposite
- Sakura completely childish, who thinks about Sasuke only, and hates Naruto // we obviously know that it will become the opposite too
- Sasuke who farts high and looks perfect // we guess that flaws will appear

These things were clearly in the minds of Kishi, this is the core of the story. Only TEAM7 is important, that's why there was so many parallels of TEAM7 (Team Kakashi, Team Jiraiya with almost the same dynamics as TEAM7) and above all, the relationship Naruto / Sasuke is even more important, and it has a ton of parallel also. Obviously this dysfunctional relationship from the start, Kishi had already decided in his mind to make it functional.
When he introduces a character with its faults, when he puts the said character flaws highlighted, we know from the obvious, that in his mind he thinks to correct these faults, to change the character.

For me it is obvious, and Kishi's statements during his interviews are all going in this direction.

I'm pretty sure we all want NaruSaku to happen so that way most of us can go on Youtube and rub it in the NH and SS fans faces

Even if NS is endgame I will continue to ship NS for a while I will still be here because the anime is not over and it might end probably next year

Nah I don't think it will be rushed but Kishi better extend those pages on that last 5 chapters to like 40 or 50 whatever

Just got some thought during my insomnia (not cuz by this news whatsoever ) When it said the manga ended in 5 weeks, does this one is included. because if it is, the last chapter will be like 699.

 

Common make it 700, it doesn't look like a fitting number to end, I will always thought that there is a secret chapter so,somewhere:P
