Well, this was all or nothing. Kaguya did the biggest Bijuudama, so it's like "Stop her, or all of you are dead." So, this is like the final mission. Win or lose, no other options.

What did you make from Kakashi's statement of this being Team Seven's last fight together? So does that mean no part 3? Or does it confirm that Kakashi will indeed be the next Hokage after the war? Kishimoto has me totally confused.

What will be achieved if Sasuke dies? The whole moral of the story will be lost.

I don't know but he's just..there to be there.Maybe he will die when he sacrifes himself for his comrades.Or he will live happily in Konaha.

No more kitten7 no more missions I hope is that one and Sasuke dies (though I doubt it ) or leaves doesn't return to the village and New T7 with Sai and Yamato takes over and are the new team .

So great to see Sakura get equal play in the battle scene. And love that things are coming full-circle with Kakashi's comment!

 

As I was reading this I was thinking how strange it is that the Big Bad turns out to be a mother on the opposite side. I thought this manga was all about the next generation? But it would up being so heavily focused on the machinations of parents. (as well as old leaders and old broken relationships, of course.) Weird. Maybe 'The Next Phase' of Naruto will be focused on the future. Because it seems like that whole next gen thing has been put by the wayside in these battles.

Great chapter. Finally Sakura got to punch something and Sakura punching something (other than Naruto) always makes me happy. Gotta love the team 7 Nostalgia and new version of Raikiri. Now all that's left is for Sasuke to di... cough cough ahem I mean for the Naruto vs. Sasuke clash and then this crazy trainwreck of nonsense can come to its conclusion. Unless of course Kishi saves Kaguya or makes Black Zetsu the final villain.

I wouldn't go that far. What accomplished is that these guys worked together to make it a success and shows you a difference from long time ago and today. Not to mention, remember how Sasuke wanted to be the leader and not taking any answers from others. Now, they finally got their heads together and boom, a success.

Well, the situation was that Kaguya was about to kill all of them if they don't stop her in time. When you recap, Team 7 has been the only people in this battle that needed to work together and win this battle. It took them a while, but it finally happened.

That being said if and only if this doesn't end the battle, that would mean that if Hokages come to the field, it's no longer necessary to force Team 7 to work together as one, rather they can mix and match for all they want, since they concluded the Team 7 teamwork. No, that doesn't mean all are solved within. Much like prior to 635, you only think as a teamwork action, because that's what helps. However, when it comes to personal, that's where the problems truly lie, mainly Sasuke of course, but that's not what Kishi is doing here. What matters is the action, not the characters. That's done now. If continuing this battle, they don't need to work as one, rather they can mix and match with others.

Now, let's hope we don't see Kakashi on the ground with a blood splat behind him.

Sakura: Proof that you don't need free power ups and op abilities to be awesome. So happy for her right now.

 

I know it was only one punch, but Kaguya is the strongest villain in this manga and a virtual goddess, and Sakura actually managed to land a hit. That's something, and more than I honestly expected her to get, so I'm very, very happy. Probably the only part of this chapter I'm going to remember, cause I was mostly confused about what was going on.

I've been feeling the same way! Ever since Obito joined the good side, this idea of the older generation supporting and looking after the younger generation temporarily has been brought up a fair few times. And it coincided with the movie announcement as well.

I really liked that Sakura joined in, but when she has to say "I'm here too!" it just emphasizes that she is a third wheel. Sai does this too. Uff. If the "too" had been cut off it would be much cooler. She would say "I am here!", and her presence would be so strong and wouldn't be comparing herself to them.

 

I really think this fight over soon though. FINALLYY.

Kakashi saying he now likes them is a nice throwback to the bell test when he said he didnt like them at all.

 

This is probably going to be them sealing Kaguya next week so it's getting closer to ending soon.

I think Kishi isn't realizing what he's doing. He can't write Sakura fitting in the team seven fight, so he gives her one moment apart from Naruto and Sasuke, and let her shout how useful or strong or team player she is. The words are supposed to cover up for the lack of actions. Too bad it ends up sounding really hollow when there aren't enough experience to justify the claim. Kishi doesn't realize that he's making the weakest dog bark the most.

lol. Yes Naruto, Kakashi is more badass than Sasuke, because unlike Sasuke Kakashi actually trains his abilities. I have to say this is why Sasuke lacks so much. He doesn't train as much as the others. After maybe the initial two years I haven't seen Sasuke train at all. Just gain new powers on a whim because reasons. His combat experience is lacking. It;s not wonder he is not so good anymore. He used to be good in part 1, but now...now Naruto is actually smarter, faster, and better looking better at combat than he is. He relies too much on his Sharingan and Rinnegan to do all the heavy lifting. When it fails he is left dumb founded. It reminds me of Kaze No Stigma here when Kazuma describes Ayano and Catherine.

Training?

All the powers (except for Chidori) he used in this chapter he obtained from an asspull that made no sense. Add to that he has demonstrated a surprising amount of proficiency for powers he has never used before.

Glad I'm not the only one who was unimpressed with this.

As to power-ups...she doesn't need them. She just needs three other people with them to catch Kaguya's attention long enough to land a punch. I am glad to see her take the initiative (that part was good), but otherwise I'm far less impressed that others.

I think you and sushi are correct. This isn't the leap forward people are treating it as, it's ancillary stuff in a desperate bid to have her do something because he can't consistent work her. Her bid to save Naruto and help Obito were more impressive. This is superior to nothing, but that's it.

While I am happy with Sakura landing the last punch and Naruto's strategy of confusion working, Sakura looked pretty badarse when she landed that punch, for that alone it makes this chapter awesome.

 

Except I can't say i'm happy with Kakashi's power-up, it went up to a whole new level, like Naruto said it's even better than Sasuke''s powers, so if Naruto and Sasuke are supposed to be equals, and Kakashi appears to be stronger than Sasuke, does that mean after Kaguya, Kakashi is right now the strongest Alive Ninja on the planet?
