Great and sad chapter. I was about to curse kishi for not using ObiRin as a NS parallel directly to Naruto until I saw that he tried to heal Obito with his palm. Naruto was using his chakra to heal Obito, which obviously had failed. However, I believe what i'm about to say is not a theory but a legit reason behind the OR flashbacks have been seen by Naruto once again. 

 

Flashback to the point where he shared with the alliance Kurama's chakra cloak. Chapter 652 was the tugging between Obi and Naruto's chakra.

 

He has the ability to sense peoples feelings and memories of that feeling when his/Kurama's chakra intertwines with another person's. And the people who has chakra cloak on them can be allow access to his feelings and the memories that comes with it. Everyone on the battlefield saw Naruto's past (forgot which chapter). 

 

Today's chapter shows him morning, despite Kakashi mimics his posture and despair here.

 

Chapter 652 backs that up  where he also shed tears here.

 

Overal, ObiRin is now officially canon. R.I.P ObiRin

 

Despite being a criminal, he was manipulated, so i'll go easy on him. If NS does become canon, Obito is my MVP pick.

Nope but its Sasuke the guy who thinks he is the best at everything all everyone else is useless, and if that is the case well your as good as dead since he might just kill you. lol 

 

If nothing else, Sasuke's mediocre performance should have given a clear message that they should be aiming to kill instead of just sealing their enemy away. The method has already been tried before and it failed to completely extinguish the threat that Kaguya presents to the world.

That 's what I have been think for a while why not just kill her and be done with it at least that way she can't come back again if she is dead.

See, I knew it! In the end Obito never made the Rin-Sakura comparison. This is exactly what I said would happen. They spent more than enough time together and had many opportunities, but Kishi never wrote it. And there's no way it never occurred to him either.

I think it's obvious now that ObiRin is confirmed. Even if it's in the after life, the way Rin is behaving toward Obito, it's way too sweet to be only friendly. I had always thought that time when she said to him to not hide his wound because she was watching was ambiguous, and not friendly.

 

At that time, Rin already started to change her feelings toward Obito. And I think this scene in 687 chapter is confirming it. When Rin approached herself to Obito to take his hand, I really thought she was gonna hug him or even kiss him. It's really too sweet to be friendly.

 

Rin is just like Sakura. She noticed Obito because he was giving his best. The same is happening with Sakura and Naruto, who are the exact same as Rin and Obito.  Kishimoto is making it clear. To me it's reinforcing NaruSaku. The promise thing is even too much of a parallel between ObiRin and NaruSaku. It's all so obvious...

 

I loved this chapter, it's very emotional, the end brings tears. I'm just trying to figure what the hell will happen with Kakashi because Obito's eyes seem to have disappeared with him. I really thought Obito would gave them to Sakura.

 

But Sakura seems to be far away and on that cliff now that the world has changed again. I would like her to come closer again.

 

It seems Naruto wanted to cut out BZ off Kaguya. He understood BZ is the evil.

I wonder if Kishi is keeping a surprise for us about BZ. At first it appeared to be Kaguya's will, but I'm starting to ask myself questions about it a lot. Maybe it's not that simple. I wonder how Kaguya will behave now that BZ is not attached to her body anymore. I think it might be possible that it will be BZ that will be sealed and not Kaguya.

While its true that we don't know if ObiRin is canon I think or at least like to think that Kishi has left it up to us to think if is canon or not.

I don't think getting your parents killed by Obito is the coolest. Jiraiya, Minato, even Pein is cooler than him. But, it's ok, I guess. Maybe he just wants to let Obito know that he already regarded him as his "nakama". But, still not in my "coolest" category.

So many feels and I hope you live happily ever after with your Rin, Obito. You still deserved it. :)

 

Sakura looks like Rin and Naruto to Obito on this chapter. I usually don't care about parallels but this two pairs really has some similarities to each other. 

 

 

 

Way to go Sasuke on being a distraction which lead to Naruto cutting Kaguya's arm. I know that was your plan right?

I don't think Naruto is saying 'the coolest", maybe it's a mistranslation. But really, even if Naruto said "the coolest", I understand the feeling Kishi wanted to gave us. Just don't flip about this. It's just Naruto being Naruto.

 

Naruto is judging by the INTENTIONS a characters has. He easily forgets about ACTIONS if INTENTIONS are beautiful.

I see it as negative.
BOth promises impacted negatively towards both Naruto and Obito, being successfull matters little what mattered in terms for Rin was that he did his best.
But the difference is that Naruto promise is selfish while Rin is not.

Also terrorist inst a person who kills for gain or pleasure, you have the wrong notion of it, terrorist are people who wants to achieve their goals towards destruction by involving innocents into it.
Obito did that when he attacked the village instead of just stealing the kyuubi which what he did.

I'm close to dropping really, my blood boiled when i saw Naruto saying Obito is the cooolest guy when he killed his parents and is directly responsible for his misery.

Luffy's q1 comment and yours are the two best comments for this chpater.
I might have a soft spot for young Obito but Obito the men was a terrible person and one of the main reason while all of these kitten is happening and about the Sasuke comment call him what you want to me is a jerk but nowhere near Obito evilness no where near and this is coming from a non Sasuke fan.

Oh man, this chapter was so emo  Obito really shone at the end of his sad life. Reminds me a lot of how Jiraiya died, reflecting on his failures and believing Naruto would not fail like him. Even Nagato died like this. There's a pattern here. Just goes to show Kishi loves repeating certain aspects and parallels. But Naruto must really be feeling the pressure. So many hope he would surpass them and live their dream. Minato, Kushina, Jiraiya, Nagato, Obito, Dan, Nawaki AND all his friends and villagers who expect so much from him 

 

I cannot believe NH/SS fans claim parallels are useless. Kishi has used and continues to use parallels for every thing in his manga!!!

 

I really like Sakura showing response even to Naruto's emotions but not at all caring about Sasuke. Sasuke being trolled is hilarious. He can't seem to do anything worthwhile and is always outshone by Naruto
