Sometimes I can't help but feel that when Kishimoto "confirms" the parallel, the whole literary device just isn't as... Poetic. A story should show, not tell everything.

Ofcourse, even when it's confirmed, you still have antis say it all means nothing because "it was a joke." =| I guess I can't blame the author for being too obvious after all.

as for Sakura/Rin - will Naruto have a love discussion w/ Obito? what would he say? " like you, i am also in love with my team mate who loves the cool guy? and like you were not there to protect Rin, i cant fulfill my promise to Sakura?" if that's how TnJ will be, i'd love to punch Naruto myself..... Naruto will never fully understand how Obito felt when he lost Rin, he can sympathize but he can never comprehend what it would feel like to have that happened to him - so, i think a bigger impact needs to take place for TnJ to work in a plausible way.. that being said, i dont think we're seeing the end of Obito the enemy., at least, not just yet :)

Yeah I don't think that will happen. Rin loving Kakashi and Sakura loving Sasuke were never big regrets Obito or Naruto have had. Likewise, Obito never promised anything to Rin.

The most likely case, if Naruto were to talk about Rin, would be if he were quoting Haku about protecting something you love.

Although unlikely to be done, I could see Madara sabotaging the TnJ.

He would have to show up in the mindscape, and remind Obito that he had no chance at being Hokage,

that his dream was literally only a dream.

The Leaf elders, in particular Danzo, would never allow an Uchiha to gain control.

This would be enough for Obito to ignore any more pleas from Naruto.

Seriously they really are blind if they think sakura isn't the most popular female character in naruto and has a huge fanbase in japan, kishimoto-sensie's main fanbase. Honsetly, they aren't true naruto fans because they're practically bashing the main heroine of the series who has had AMAZING and deep emotional development, both romace-wise , character-wise and-power wise, and the love interest, Haruno sakura, of the main hero, Uzumaki Naruto. That alone is an insult to kishimoto-sensie's work. Not to mention they rub off the japanese culture, which is important to know if you wanna 100% understand the details of the manga.

My hobbies are drawing, and reading awesome facts about anything I love! Oh and how could I forget, I love playing on my PS3, my favourite online game is Team Fortress 2, favourite character to play with is the scout! (Although I love all of 'em).
Bless the PS2 era...and all those awesome games... (applause to you if you were part of that gaming age, jack and daxter, sly, spyro, crash etc.)

I really liked this chapter. I liked it when naruto began to talk to obito and I like how obito is starting to show his true colors.

And we have yet another scene like RTN, now we're seeing obitos dream world, not naruto and sakuras like in RTN.

Sakuras hair is longer and she has the seal, sasuke is in the village wearing his casual cloths, obito is hokage instead of sakuras dad like in RTN and naruto looks the same lol.

It looks like narusaku and obirin is almost in action ♡

I liked how kiba is all like, "we're here!" With a smirk haha

I liked how shikamaru and ino had that great teamwork

And I liked how in the previous chapter we saw lee actually use ninjutsu but it was from naruto.

And I liked how tenten knew about obitos legendsry weapon-just what id expect from her!

I wonder if the tailed beasts will combined their beast Balls/bomb and destroy the Tree?

Kishi spoiled that it's going to happen.

Hum... i really dont know, Obito failed to protect Rin he cant still protect her after what happened.

In fact it's really difficult to think what Naruto has something to say about Rin here.

If something in regards to show that Naruto surpassed this ,is by telling it's possible to fill out this hole with someome else which means moving on.

By far we saw that Jiraiya could not be kage because he could not save his friend and Obito who turned out what he's now because he could not protect Rin.

To overcome Jiraiya's thinking he realized that "the ones who are acknowledged by everyone  become kage" now to overcome Obito's...

Finally, progress! Much better than the last chapter, I think, though I am disappointed that genjustu apparently isn't going to activate now, :ermm: oh well, I guess. At least this arc appears to be reaching it's conclusion.

I don't know I think the TNJ will have to do with Rin, but it won't be a flat out parallel to Sakura. Sorry feeling a bit skeptical.

I think that might be likely too. I have a feeling that the Rin/Sakura parallel, if it does happen, will not be a blatant as the confirmation of the Sakura/Kushina parallel. I could end up being wrong though, we'll see.

I hope that it's not that obvious, I hope that it's at least subtle/indirect.

Me too.

So, it's all pretty much going in the direction that I figured it would. TNJ with a possible Obito redemption.

One thing that annoys me, though, is where Obito questioned if he is regretting all of this. Thousands of ninja, including his own teacher and teacher's wife, are dead, cities including people's homes have been destroyed during this entire conquest. And just NOW he may be regret this? Give me a break of that KitKat bar.

BTW, Naruto looks like a BMF in the last panel.

I believe that Madara will come trolling into the picture after Obito has been redeemed. My guess is that he'll either snatch the Bijuu chakra away from the Alliance at the last minute and become the Ten Tails Jinchuriki, or he'll reveal that there's another way to perform Tsukuyomi. He's been stringing Obito along for such a long time, there has to be something else up his sleeve. Perhaps that's why he's been so lax about Obito having the Ten Tails...

Anyway, I really don't want my first prediction to come true. It's been foreshadowed that Naruto is the Sage of Six Paths reincarnated, so I would like for the beasts to return to his side instead of getting sucked into Madara. (Ew.) I doubt it will happen, but it's still a possibility non-the-less.

Madara never won Hashirama in a fight, i think Hashirama might win, this battle already got dragged for too long.

Yeah, I don't like that either. Not once has Obito been shown regretting all the chaos he's caused, or the lives he destroyed, the only thing he questions regretting is all the things he gave up, the future he could have had. No, just no.

That's true, Obito is only half the battle and Madara seems to just be biding his time. Definitely can't count him out as having a plan of action.

Naruto won't tell Obito "I'm sure you would be a great Hokage!". He would say "If you fight for your dreams, you can reach them no matter what!". It's the principle here that's important, not details.

Pretty decent chapter overall, but c'mon Kishi. You've got all these panels dedicated to Naruto's supporters on the battlefield and not one panel of Sakura shows up :wallbash: As for the TNJ, we all knew it was coming even though it wasn't executed greatly.

Heres a theory though, what if Madara decides to make his move now. Think about it, now that Obito, Bee, and Naruto are locked in a Juubi tug of war, this is the perfect opportunity for him to take all 9 beasts within his possession :plots: :plots: :plots:

You can rest assured because Madara will not become the Juubi's Jinchuriki for as long as he remains as an Edo Tensei corpse, which is exactly why he wanted to revive using Obito as his new vessel.

However I also don't really think Naruto will gather all the Bijuus inside of him, thus becoming the new Sage. It might happen eventually, but right now it is too early. If he manages to accomplish that, then it is game-over for Madara, there's no way he stands a chance against everyone including the Sage Naruto.

Nonetheless, I believe he'll use the first chance he gets to change the tides of the war again. And this chance can very well be what has happened during this chapter, except I have no idea what and how he will do it.

Me placing a review of a chapter!!!! *Gasp* How long has it been?

Well today was your standard "Let's talk our way out of this as fighting is for chumps". Nah, I actually thought the speech was pretty dang meaningful as it gave the sense of what Obito really could have become had he actually not given up on life. The only flaw with Kishi's writing is everything eventually comes back to Naruto, as if everyone is Naruto in some way even before he existed. XD

Yeah, no rants from me because, yeah just no rants

I was just thinking, what if when Naruto saw Obito's memory of him holding Rin after she died he thought of what could have been if he hadn't saved Sakura from Sasuke?

It's possible he'll mention it earlier. Regardless of pairings I actually think this example fits more than the NH, you know when she tried to save him. NHers uses that for a comparison and NSers uses this. I think the pain and despair Naruto would feel if he failed to save Sakura would be much more similar to Obito's. "You tried and failed to save the one you love", would only fit for Sakura and not Hinata.

ObiRin's position also looks like he just put down a girl he held bridalstyle. :smug:

It's just boggle my mind on what Naruto will tackle on next week. He tear for that relationship ended in a tragic note. I mean it started off with Obito wanting to be Hokage, Rin smiling, supporting him, which to me you get the idea that's Obito's love interest, them being in team, which maybe learn that Kakashi was the Sasuke of that time, and lastly, her death, which Naruto felt sad that Kuruma has to tell him don't give in. I guess Naruto has to talk about that. It's the only way to complete the TnJ. It's only question on how would it all go down.
