Where is that guy? Sad that the battle is about to begin, yet he's not there.
I was thinking the same thing, and then I thought Anko is MIA too. How ironic would it be if Kakashi, Yamato, and Anko appear at the same time.

THAT'S WHAT HEROES DO, THEY SAVE PEOPLE!!

Lol that would be something else. I always feel that Yamato could get dragged by Orochimaru if Anko still around with them. It's like Sound reunion, whether it's good or bad. That would be interesting.I was thinking the same thing, and then I thought Anko is MIA too. How ironic would it be if Kakashi, Yamato, and Anko appear at the same time.

Yamato is probably dead. Last we saw him was with kabuto and he was captured. Maybe he became a part of Gedo Mazo/Juubi.
I ship Conan and Ai.

As for some others questioning how tsunade cured Shikamaru so quick, well few quick reasons:
To be honest I don't see what Tsunade did as "curing". Shikamaru was already out of danger at that moment, and she apparently just transferred a little of chakra so he could get back to his "normal" self.

I don't.do u guys like sakura's new bangs?
I want Madara to insult Tsunade again so Hashirama will get pissed and go all out.On another note though, I'm glad to see Tsunade's interaction with Sakura and her Grandfather. And it sure is a good thing that Tsunade's alive, otherwise Hashi would be ripping Madara into confetti over and over again with that Gigantic Buddha Statue of his.
:o Truuuu! kitten I hope this happens. Then the ObiRin parallel will be inevitable. :3Kakashi must to come back on the battlefield so he can tell his story to Naruto through kyuubi's chakra due to Ino's jutsu... Do you remember when at the start of the battle, Naruto said to Kakashi that he will tell him his story about him, Obito and Rin? Well, I guess that moment is coming soon.
WORD! It's a freakin' cycle, man. It's tiring. To be honest, I am tired with the 'Naruto is going to save the world' 'we alliance must fight together' speeches. Somebody gives some inspiring speech, the alliance fights, something bad happens, the alliance lose the will, somebody gives some inspiring speech and replay. It's been done again and again. At this point I don't really care about the alliance.
So really, I'm not looking forward for the upcoming chapters.

About the speech, yeah, we get that a lot and here it is once again. However, to be honest, it was needed because no way we're leaving Sakura and Shikamaru like that. That part needed a purpose and it sure did for Shikamaru and Sakura most likely continues. That said it's a bit tiresome, but it's needed. So now, we should go full on course action.

The Tsunade-Sakura headpat warmed my heart. I think Tsunade sees sakura has more than a student, maybe the daughter she never had anyone?, She has a similar relation that Jiraiya had with Naruto. It was a nice touching moment.
I expected it to be a Shikamaru Chapter, theres no way he's dying considering he's one of Kishi's favorite.

Those who are powerless, seek me"

I thought this was going to be an unpopular opinion until I went through the thread. Other than what others have said;
We got a one panel of Naruto and Sasuke launching an attack, the rest was thoughts about how they are going to attack.
Yes, it's going in a circle. Naruto and Sasuke's attack was bloked in this chapter, the build up was nullified. They have to try again.
Again, I wonder how many seconds passed. While we hear everybody's touching thoughts, Naruto and Sasuke are still up in the air, they can't be there for many seconds. So..less than a minute every chapter. Will never reach 15.
I'm also tired of useless panels, often of alliance fodders. Page 2, those fodder shinobis? Why make almost an entire page about them just being there? Why make them pull up weapons when the scene was completely cut off ?
And the speeches...of course, Naruto is way way overhyped. I get it, the alliance thinks of Naruto as a god..But instead of telling me he is, show me so I can agree.
Actually, this chapter and the previous could've been squeezed into one. Many chapters could've been that. If Kishi drops the unnecessary circles and wasted panels, build ups and cliffhangers with no follow-up, prolonged speeches etc.
Lastly about pairings, of course Sakura's thoughts are not romantic, but she stands out. Ino also felt Naruto's heart, but Sakura did it..in her own way. Of course Hinata is going to be beside Naruto, but going by this chapter she is within a crowd.

This speech at least indicates that we're coming close to the ending. It's showing the contrast between how things were at the beginning, and how they have changed with Naruto's influence. I really enjoyed it

Loved this chapter loved every single page of it, I'm glad Shikamaru is alive, Kakashi coming back (wonder how he'll react to Minato?) and it looks like the Battle will get going next chapter.

What I like about this is that Sakura wants to save everyone and felt that her words are backfiring her since everyone are dying without putting a fight and she couldn't save many. Naruto not only made her feel so much emotions for him (noticed those two panels of not wanting him to do anymore work), but he too feels the same that he don't want to lose anymore friends. Both of them share the same thoughts and that's why Ino has to explain that his will is what will keep them alive. Honestly, these two needs to get a room already.

I disagree that the speeches mean that this is coming to and end. Normally that would be reasonable, but since we've been getting the same type of speeches for a while now, so I'm not so sure.

All of this has a twisted sense of humour to itself because of how quickly the main crisis could be averted if certain characters used their abilities more sensibly. Honestly, all it would require is Onoki's amplified Jinton and the tree would be reduced to nothing more than particles of dust. Tobi and Madara are both preoccupied with their respective battles which essentially gives free rein to the Alliance for any maneuvers they want to carry out on the Jubi. The shinobi would have no need to endanger their lives because of the Tsuchikage's absurdly powerful elemental ability.
Surely I'm not the only one who sees this.

Pretty much this, I noticed it too but i bet you there is some haxed reason why this strategy will fail. If they dont even attempt it (which I doubt) ill be disappointed in the Alliance in general.

i think when the shinju blooms it will be close to daylight (and naruto birthday) coz flowers normally open their petals to sunlight right?
I can't even say good bye to you for the last time
I'm sorry

Better than last chapter definitely. I'm trying not to look at it through shipper's eyes but I liked how it was thanks to Naruto and Sakura that Shikamaru was saved. And I just imagine that people are going to say something about Hinata saying she wants to be beside Naruto (again), and make it out to be some big pairing moment, if that's the case than I guess ShikaNaru is canon, since he said the exact same thing. But, pairing stuff aside, I loved Sakura in this chapter and the moment between her and Tsunade was so sweet. And finally, it looks like Kakashi will be back in action soon. About time.
@Redragon, I think he was talking about Kiba. As in Akamaru being his advisor, but I don't know what he means by three, perhaps that he (Shino) will also be Kiba's advisor?

This kind of happens in every story ever written. There is a great power that a character can use and possibly use all the time if they wanted yet do not use it at all at times when it seems like it would work the most. Sometimes the excuse is is that the move(s) uses a lot of energy and is a heavy burden to maintain. So they use it sparingly or only when they really need to use it.
For example: You know how easy it would be for Goku to win every single battle if he just wished himself immortal and then wished himself mortal again after all the evil is dead. It's always the bad guys that want immortality. Not the good guys.
It's not just a thing Naruto is guilty of, but rather most if not all stories have moments like these. You know how many times Superman could have just ended a battle by using one technique that he used ina previous battle? But, hey, the fights wouldn't be entertaining then.

I see your point Atheck, however I believe we should stop looking at the God Tree as if it was just an over-growth plant that can be chopped down. Actually I would be disappointed if only Onoki's Jinton comes to be enough to bring it down.
I agree though some characters could and should be using their special abilities more properly given the situation, but looks like we are forgetting the fact that the God tree is in reality the Juubi's Final form, whom is supposed to be the strongest creature to have ever existed.
I personally would like to see everyone giving all they've got, so we can probably witness some powerful and preferably unseen combination attacks given the size of the threat they are dealing with.

Don't forget she wants to hold his hand.
In this chapter, she's realised she hasn't reached Naruto on a personal level. It doesn't mean she only sees him as Shikamaru sees him.
I'm sure if Kishimoto wanted to show Hinata having a change of heart, he'd put more emphasis on it.
I'm of the opinion that NaruHina will never 'be dead', because Hinata feelings clearly are not going to go away, they are still there and Kishimoto show no inclination to move her past that, which is a shame to me because it means Hinata will never be her own character. And that doesn't mean I think NaruHina is likely, it's not dead but it's not moving forward either, it's just... frozen.

I feel your sentiments. It's become tediously repetitive, and I don't care about the alliance either, they're just fodder and their panels really are a waste. Kishimoto should have limited the battlefield long ago, as he clearly have no idea what to with the alliance. I feel like Kishi's doing a lot of buying for time, for what I don't know.
