Who cares? Let them. Anyway, if her seal is really gone for whatever reason, maybe this is one way the ObiRin parallel can occur (although I still have mixed feelings about this).

Last time we know Sakura was on top of Katsuyu... So if Katsuyu is ok, but Sakura lays down, how did this happen? Maybe something like Tsunade did in Pein Arc? She tried to release all her chakra into saving everyone so that's why she collapsed? That panel is sure strange!

My thoughts on this chapter:

 

Glad that the plot is finally starting to pick up. Did not expect Kishi to go in depth with the Sage and his mother's backstory. A little bummed that he wasn't an Uzumaki tbh. I mean, why couldn't the Sage just be a normal guy (normal for an Uzumaki) who ended up gaining (earning) the Juubi's godly powers? Instead, he was born with this power, just like Naruto, just like the Senju, and just like the Uchiha. I think it would've been neat if the Sage was just an ordinary guy who earned his way into god level status. Oh well.

 

And finally, death to the fodder! I can't imagine how Naruto is feeling right now. Crazy how forming the Shinobi Alliance to prevent the apocalypse is actually going to be the very cause of it.

I mean, why couldn't the Sage just be a normal guy (normal for an Uzumaki) who ended up gaining (earning) the Juubi's godly powers? Instead, he was born with this power, just like Naruto, just like the Senju, and just like the Uchiha. Not to bash, but why. Should they worry about Hinata not appearing here, making her just there as a background rather something we'll be concerned of. That's what the chapter pretty much did.

That said you know I wonder how are others. Imagine K9 actually got wiped. I doubt it but I guess this chapter shows priority for Kishi.

 

I'm thinking the exact same thing. A considerable amount of the alliance got wiped out by this sudden assault and it really seemed a deadly one since even Naruto almost got sucked in if weren't by Hiruzen returning from whatever place he was hiding. Given this scenario I wonder how K9 managed to escape this attack, if so.

They should rather start worrying about Hinata, at least we know Sakura is alive.

The tree all set and only left to be activated... That what I was hoping for to all happen in this current chapter. Why ? Well, here's the possibilities that may very well happen cause of this:

 

1- The battle has gone to a more intense level. Now the characters that were battling Obito will have to do some actions that characters in a moment of fail would do as in unexpected things which is why one the reasons that the next chapters will be exciting.

 

2- This chapter, with the Tsukuyomi plan all set, provided chances for characters like Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi to have something to do. Sasuke is safe, as we can expect, cause he'll have a role to do after what happened.

Sakura, now exhausted, afterwards will have something to do. It may take some time after she has rested, but before the parallel, it's possible that she can do something significant that can set her before the parallel is complete. But, it's possible that Sakura won't do anything significant if Kishi is just saving her for the parallel like make Sakura have a simple interference then afterwards the parallel is completed.

Kakashi is still in the parallel universe. Anytime now after this chapter, he can surprise Obito.

 

3- The Kages arrive will, I think, save a situation after the characters have begun to make a move to destroy the tree, or even in the next chapter seeing that the characters now are hurt, and they'll arrive to do some action from what they can possibly do.

I think that they'll appear shortly before Madara's trump card, or after Madara's trump card. I said shortly before Madara's trump card cause Madara, after showing his hidden plan, will have a character, which I think it's Naruto, to take him out after Madara becoming more powerful. Or his power will still be the same, but the chance will rise to have Sasuke stop him and probably have some power up from that or from another.

 

4- Madara's trump card is very soon. Here where's interesting. Will he fight Obito and take him down, or will he trick him, or his trump card provide him a way to not do the last two options and surprise everyone ? I think it's a tie for the second and third option.

 

I think Sasuke has something in his mind like he's waiting for the right moment seeing that he was completely well, and like he's being awaited to be seen what he has to do. Sakura is exhausted and I think we'll see more clearly, after the next or two chapters, where she could fit in all this. Maybe she won't till the famous parallel will have the turn. Naruto, well, I see him taking a break for the next chapter for now.

Well there's the possibility that sakura just got hit  or something caused her to collapse just that if it was something big it could have dedicated some more panels to it.

 

Also I get why Naruto would be pursued but why is Sakura down.

Why the hell would they want that ? Oh , wait they are Sakura haters .. Do they know that Sakura has main plot and romantic sub plot shield being Naruto's wife xD?

Anyways , their Hinata is the one in danger since she has no special jutsu or plot protection .

Let other fans think what they want - Sakura isn't going to die.    I'm surprised that people would even entertain the notion after not only having seen other named characters survive much worse, and seeing that she is clearly still alive and still has Kurama's chakra cloak.

 

That being said, I wouldn't jump the gun about Hinata not showing up - its likely we'll find out about her and the other rookies' fates next chapter, and I'm just as positive that they aren't dead either.

The Sage was the ancestor to the eventual Senju and Uchiha clans, it wouldn't have made sense if he was an Uzumaki, because that would mean both the Senju and Uchiha were descendants of the Uzumaki, and not "distant relatives" (to the Senju) as Kushina mentioned. @x@

Anyway, crazy chapter. It's been a while since we've had a "wow" chapter. And that foreshadowing..loord. I hope it has something to do with Sakura.

 

And I wonder what happen in that tiny panel she got.. I don't think it's anything serious tho, because then Lee's comment wouldn't be as casual.

But...it is possible that one of them COULD have, right? I mean, Naruto himself almost did. I doubt it would be Hinata, if that does happen. Still, it's strange that none of them were shown at least escaping, the same way the fodder ninjas were.

Yeah, it could. But, what happened in this chapter is generalized to all the alliance. Kishi just chose to not show them. Maybe we'll see them in the next chapter. Not to mention, if a side character is dead forever, we would see at least half of a chapter about him/her. 

 

Also, I think that when the tree is destroyed, everyone will be alive again. Like their chakra is back to them and their alive again.

Like Qia mentioned, one of them could have been caught. That said, I also don't believe they were killed off-panel but they might have been inflicted with severe/deadly damage. We can't be hasty and assume a character has zero chance of dying just because of their relevance.

Here's an interesting question that someone else posted. If chakra originated from the God Tree and humans learned how to harness an innate ability to mould it with their spirits and bodies, how did the animals who have demonstrated chakra manipulation and ninjutsu skills acquire this power? Since Gamakichi revealed that he was able to use senjutsu also a theory was made that suggests all frogs, snakes, and slugs use natural energy , not just the labeled sages. But the knowledge to use this ability must have originated somewhere. And what about the various other animals who wield chakra? Do they have this inherent gift to mould it as well?

How much could possibly be written on this mysterious Uchiha stone? I feel like it's become a plot filler library. If Kishi wants to introduce new lore and make it sound legit he'll just say it came from that stone.

 

Yay Sakura! I thought it was funny that she was shown injured in that tiny side panel. I hope this means that Kishi will address her next chapter.

That is a really good point. Perhaps the Uchiha stone history isn't accurate? Maybe Madara misinterpreted the God Tree being angry about having chakra 'stolen.' He strikes me as the type to only see what he wants to see. He refuses to acknowledge any good in the current world because he is just that bitter.
