Really I think the whole aspect of Slug sage mode is one that breaks even towards possible and not possible.
I mean on one hand, it would complete that trio deal of the 3 summoning species, toad, snake, and slug. As there was mt. myoboku and the rychu cave, the humid bone forest is an area only mentioned but its been stated and confirmed that Katsuyu is from there.
The next is as we have seen toad and snake sage mode, it makes many wonder how come tsunade never possessed this power? I mean in another case though, it would be neat to have 1 female sage.
The other deal is just the strength of 100 seal while its been proven its linked to Katsuyu and she is not just another summoning animal (as this explains why only Tsunade could summon her until Sakura could as well) its left 2 open mysteries.
Did Mito have a seal too and likewise what about Hashirama's sage mode? The first is a possible yes, given it is a sealing technique and the uzumaki clan just happened to specialize in those, its very likely the clan created the seal Tsunade and now Sakura have come to use. Otherwise what about Hashirama's sage mode? It may be something unique or unknown or otherwise independent. Maybe it was just that "extra" kishi had to give to even Hashirama out with Madara who could just throw that giant sussano out.
The other deal I feel on the opposite end is, well after seeing Tsunade's strength of 100 seal, given how powerful it was to stand against Madara and let her survive all but the worst attacks, I felt like it was seeing Jiraya in sage mode again, that was his strongest point. Going full power with that seal was tsunade at her best and theres no question, she was strong to stand and endure against madara despite defeat. I just feel that this is the "best we will see" or otherwise this was her power cap, tsunades strongest, otherwise meaning that this in turn could be the thing to even out the whole "abstance of a slug sage mode" I mean in retrospect, its otherwise convincing that if all 3 sannin are even, then Jiraya in sage mode (with Fukasaku and Shima supporting him), Orochimaru (he has a snake sage mode), and tsunade in her strength of 100 seal released were to fight, it should otherwise be evened. I mean other things aside, Kabuto made the best use of sage mode and Jugo has the power to use natural energy without being a sage but considering the power granted by sage mode is a big leap for the user, the strength of 100 seal should otherwise be about the same thing, possibly more considering its well, the multiplication factor gives the user much more strength than a sage mode did.
I mean if Sage mode Naruto and Now present Sakura with her enhanced powers and access to katsuyu were to fight who would honestly win? I mean naruto does have his chakra clones in reserve to keep the natural energy going but Sakura has perfect control to just keep that seal going, not wasting any of it on stuff like looks, just using it all on upfront combat and healing techniques.
