What do you guys think of Farneze? And Casca. I'm not talking about her being badass when she was still sane, but her devotion towards Griffifth etc.
Also, I kind of get mad when I read on forums posts that are bashing Casca. They call her a being kitten the way she treats Guts, say that she betrayed Gutts when she "enjoyed being raped by Griffith a bit too much." ( I mean, I understand the latter complaint, but I feel like she couldn't help it about feeling physically aroused? Mentally, I know she felt bad about what she was doing).
Casca had reasons to admire Griffith, since he saved her, as you said, she was devoted to him, he took care of her when she was all alone, plus she could only see his good sides, just as all the other members of the hawk... So I understand her choices. He used to treat her well, and respected her (unlike some other ship ahem )
About the rape thing, she wasn't master of her body, she was completely out, shocked, she couldn't react even if she wanted to. She wasn't completely aware of what was happening. I think people just want to insult her about that because they couldn't anything else to tell about her.
She is a great character, even though she became weak later (I don't know how long she stayed like this because....I haven't finished reading it ) but, she always stood up against these men, and could fight, even though she was the only woman, she proved that, unlike what everybody else in their world thought, even a woman can be stronger than 100 men. She was struggling because of her tomboyish side, and the fact she wasn't feminine enough to attract Griffith, but at the same time, if she wanted to get rid of that side of hers, she wouldn't be able to stay by Griffith side.
Plus, she had reasons to treat Guts like this, she disliked him first because of that bond between him and Griffith, she was also jealous, because after all these years, Griffith never "recognized" her the way he did with Guts. She disliked him for numerous reasons, and that was completely logic.
That's personally what I saw in that character.

As soon as I found out that Farnese was Serpico's half-sister, I was like:" Oh kitten, there's goes my ship." XD Jokes aside, that's some interesting dynamics the mangaka has established there.
Wait....WHAT ?
I need to catch up on this manga, or I'll get spoiled eveything ! x)
