I don't know about you, I do like the fact Minato is sticking around longer. I'll just joke around and say,

 

Minato, the plot shield to block SS/NH

 

Looks like it's going so well as of late. Ok, I don't think this really true, but sometimes, it does feel like his presence really blocks any other pairings. Won't it be funny that he will be the one to trigger Obito to attack Sakura? Think like this.

 

Minato: Naruto, your girlfriend is very strong to come here on her own.

Obito: !

Naruto: Uh oh...

 

I mean I don't even think Minato knows her name, so most likely he will call her "Naruto's girlfriend." Imagine that. Oddly enough, I will actually place this in a possibility. After all, we did have this one:

 

Kakashi: Obito, Rin is dead. I'm sorry. Don't worry. Life will get better. Minato and Kushina are expecting a child.

Obito: Did somebody say a child?! A jinchuuriki no less!

 

Ok, it didn't go like that but you can abridged it like that.

Well, I do hope the next chapter is about going forward this time around because we got the rise of Obito for three chapters and then, this chapter pretty much saying no one is unimportant. That being said now it's a good time to move forward and start having everyone involved, even though a lot of them will get hurt bad. Still, we are drawing near to the end of the battle/arc, and chapter 5 should be the do or die moment. Chapter 8 should be a shocking twist or turn-of-a-event, which it could be the Rin part, but we have to wait and see.

Yep, after three chapters of having everyone on the sidelines, I think next chapter is definitely time to start getting them actually involved.  This is especially true when considering the set up of the volume, as you indicate.

 

I think the only question now is which will come first, the arrival of the Kages, Orochimaru, and the rest of Taka, or the alliance getting involved?

 

btw am i the only one thinking that once that group does show up, its obvious that Sakura will go to heal Naruto and Karin will heal Sasuke?  i mean, what purpose could Hinata serve by going in there?  Sakura is more powerful than she is, and she doesn't have any specific attacks like teloportation or healing that will be of any particular use here either . . . just sayin

 

Last I checked in chapter 635, Gaara mentioned that he was gonna use the sand to get them to the battlefield faster. So I wouldn't be too surprised if their entrance will save somebody from getting killed.  My probable guess is that they'll show up somewhere between 642-644.

And b/c I forgot to add this to my last reply:

1- i dont think it will be needed i know that there are people wanting it but since the things come on and how stuff works on the manga, i bet it will be a comic moment, After all Sakura knows that Naruto loves her and since that Naruto become an obstacle for SS.

 

I think the fact that Kishi even had Sai ask Naruto if he had TOLD HER how he feels, and Naruto saying, "How can I when I haven't kept my promise?" indicates that Naruto is eventually going to actually tell Sakura how he feels.

 

It doesn't matter that Sakura "knows" that Naruto loves her - Sai's speech wasn't meant to be a confession by proxy - it was meant to let Sakura know how her actions and inaction affected Naruto.  Sai couldn't tell her why Naruto feels the way that he does.  After his reaction at the confession, Sakura may even doubt his feelings for her a bit ("If you don't like me, then just say so!").

 

Plus, we're talking about the main character's feelings here - if he doesn't get an equal opprtunity as even Hinata did to express his feelings to the girl he's loved since chapter 3, then that it incredibly poor writing, imo.  Naruto DESERVES to tell Sakura how he really feels about her, and Sakura DESERVES to hear it.  If he expressed his thanks and feelings for Hinata, there is no reason that Naruto and Sakura cannot have an equally large moment, especially when there is so much more left unsaid between them at the moment.

 

And if Kishi makes Naruto's confession into a purely comical moment, I'm throwing chairs.  A little comic relief is fine, and even in character, but Naruto's feelings for Sakura are serious and should be portrayed as such.  I am frankly tired of everyone calling Naruto's feelings a joke, and reducing his confession to a comic relief moment will definitely lend credence to that.

 

tl;dr:  Naruto does need to get a serious moment to confess his feelings towards Sakura, and I feel the story has definitely been setting up for one.

Haha I can actually see that happening - though I do think its more likely to be triggered by seeing Sakura healing/scolding Naruto.

Tobirama  . I miss the kages. I liked the chapter though! I can feel the tension. Loved the Shikamaru speech, well, I love him in general. Haha Shikkamaru as Hokage? He would refuse if he were asked. Outstanding performance against Juubito. Still it overshadows the Mada vs Hashi by a whole lot in my opinion. I still like the pace that this is going.

 

As for Sakura's hand positions, I'm going to have to say it's still in the same position as for her healing. Although I would be realllly excited it she was prepping for SSM. I don't want to deny the possibility because I can't see the hands properly. Still I think it's most likely in the healing position.

 

But I can feel it...Sakura is itching to get into the fight. She's ready to jump in at the opportune moment...Go Sakura!

I still need to see the kages and Kakashi hehe ^^ They better take up a whole page.

Well, she might be...not saying no, it's just that to me, from that angle it really seems like so... dunno, I guess we'll wait and see...Though it would be possible. I mean, we saw no injured shinobi around there and Sakura's hands were normal, no hand signs last time, and now she appears like this... dunno.

It's a possibility she might, it's a possibility she might not.

 

Sakura resigned herself to medical duties in #633 when she declared that her restorative abilities would be available to anyone who needed assistance. We saw only two or three shinobi healed by her jutsu previously when the Sannin parallel was in full effect yet we're lead to believe that Sakura had managed to close the wounds and injuries of all those on the battlefield. Make no mistake, the replicas are still lurking about the battlefield and the Alliance forces are continuing to battle against them. The only reason that it has not been given much screen time is has to do with Naruto, Sasuke, and the Hokages' fight against Tobi being paramount in terms of significance. 

 

To be fair though, that handseal has shown itself twice now when Tsunade was in the process of performing some unspecified jutsu when Madara was attempting to have Susanoo strike its sword down at the Kages and when Kabuto was entering Sage Mode. 

 

 

Sasuke even noted how the snake summonings appeared to be growing in size and you can even see the actions indicating some sort of physical alteration occurring to them. Sage Mode is known for enhancing the attributes of its user. For summonings, that may include their overall mass.

I agree most of NS moments were brushed off with comical relief and the ''great thinkers'' of the opposite fandom use it as a weapon so to say to tell us that this relationship is a joke , well we know that that is not true , but it still irritates us beyond description ..

 

Something like the NS HUG nOw THAT WAS A FREAKING MOMENT!!   Even though they downplay it , just cuz hinata didnt do it ...

 

Moving on , it would be great a forehead kiss some tongue action .. cmon

This chapter was another transition chapter to me, laying down necessary groundwork for later chapters.  That being said, I feel it was much more enjoyable than last chapter.
 
Tobirama is Sasskakge you know Naruto is going to continue calling him disrespectful names, thats just who he is, no matter how much Tobirama grumbles about it.
 
The combo looked cool, but it definitely throws me off to keep switching between a Sasuke that clearly intends to murder Naruto, and one that is cooperating with him.  I can see his arrogance is at a max too, first trying to attack Obito by himself, and then giving orders to Naruto.  Still, I did like the panel of them smiling together at the end.
 
It couldnt be more obvious that the alliance (or rookie nine at least) is going to get involved soon Shikamarus speech about waiting for an opening is screaming it.  Sakura in particular continuing to demand what is going on with Naruto and Sasuke shows that she is definitely going to get involved in THEIR battle specifically with Obito sooner than later.
 
Kishi is doing the EXACT same thing with Sakura that he did with Hinata in the Pein arc, showing her worrying on the sidelines, watching everything thats going on.  Hinata may try to interfere if Naruto is in trouble, but Sakura is faster and more on edge.  If Sakura doesnt simply rush forward past Hinata (recall her blitzing past Naruto and Sasuke in 632?), I could see her possibly telling her firmly to stay back, since these are HER teammates, and that it is a Team 7 matter.  Frankly, I would love to see Sakura tell Hinata to worry about her own teammates.
 
Not only that, but from a story telling point, Hinata has already played her individualized part (not only in 614 and 615, but by using her byakugan to keep Sakura informed).  Hinata will join with the rest of the alliance, and Sakura will rush forward to insert herself in the thick of things with Naruto and Sasuke.
 
The hardest part at this point is just waiting for the trigger to get Sakura rushing in.

Omg this. Although hinata is 100% not gonna jump in, pft, like no way, thats impossible. Kishimoto has finished her character. Theres no need to keep bringing her up. Thats it. Shes done.

Its all about team 7, the hokages and the important characters. And yoh know what I mean by important characters *cough*top ten characters*cough*

I dunno about you guys, but im friggin' happy that kishimot finished up with hinata in chapter 615 and 633. I mean imafine her interferimg in this chapter or any of the others. That would just ruin the epicness. But knowing kishimoto, I have faith in him. Kishimotk doesnt troll the readers. The readers troll themselves.

Ps Sakura is so darn beautiful.

If Gokages arrive first, then that would mean Orochimaru and others went somewhere else. For what reason, we got no idea. Maybe they're just doing some chores before Sasuke give them a "go" signal or something. Who knows.

 

About the confession, I think it will go down similar to FMA, though if you want a small comedy, I want him to say "marry me" instead. If his heart is truly strong for her, which it is, he should say that. Anyway, I do think it will be a comical at first, mainly from both sides, and for some reason I can see Sakura telling Naruto that she knows his feelings, then perhaps when Sakura asked why he loves her, it will become completely serious. Think as when Sai exposed that Naruto loves Sakura, it started off comical because Naruto was embarrassed to have his secret exposed, but then got serious when asked if he has confessed. He is the guy that is truly serious about relationships, especially if it's Sakura. It's like if ramen disappears forever, he will be shell of a man. Lol. But seriously, you can't take what Naruto loves is what I'm trying to say.

Honestly, a true romance, in my opinion, should bring more of comedy and not too mushy stuff. That's fantasy crap. Ok, ok. To be honest, this manga is targeting teenagers, right? So comedy is expected and honestly, I am happy for this. I love when romance is more comedy than to "I love you, you complete me, blah blah blah". That's why we have romantic comedy now, because comedy sells well with romance. It becomes its own genre.

 

Look, I have nothing against romance as in pure romance, but in this manga or in a lot of manga, especially Shounen, it should provide good comedy in a relationship. Bakuman is a bit exceptional, though we have the other guy to fill in the comedy, because the main protagonist is a shy one when it comes to love. After all, he went out and blurt out he wants to marry his love in first chapter. Clumsy. Lol. Anyway, yeah, I really prefer this way and honestly, if you can succeed in comedy romance, then you know you have a great chemistry.

I would truly hate for this to happen, the future generation is supposed to surpass the past, if Naruto  become so6p then they wont. Its like giving him god powers and Naruto is no god and he shouldn't be. There is a reason the original sage separated the ten tails.

Um Yeah. I say it was as bland as last as last week overall But I REALLY enjoyed some of the badass moments there. Tobirama is showing how he is JUST as badass as Hashirama, And those combinations were in perfect synch!  My main issue is, as some have said, Sasuke is deviating between teammate and lone rogue here. That is, he keeps moving between helping Naruto and carrying out his own goal of *erasing the past and starting anew* which may involve killing Naruto. Who knows? But I think think that the calling Naruto first is pretty significant with Sakura when I think about it. Cause yeah she use to put Sasuke first in her thought process here. Remember when they fouhgt Haku? she said " Sasuke-kun won't lose! and neither will Naruto!  Or when she was worrying about Sasuke during Naruto's fight with Neji and needed INO a.k.a. her "Sasuke's love rival" to snap her out of it and show Naruto some support. It shows how much her feelings for Naruto have changed and how much she cares about him now.  Yeah I might be over thinking here but there's a chance I'm not.

Tobirama was so aewsome in this chapter !!! For me , he is clearly the stronger hokage after the first.

 

However , that chapter was really short , and Hinata still have delay appareance in the manga , I think her time is done and Sakura should have more screentime...

Speeking of Sakura , she said Naruto's name first this time ( no big deal )

 

That pannel of Naruto and Sasuke smilling together bring back memories of part 1 , it was nicely done

I got so excited when Tobirama said, "I'll return this back to you." That was such a badass movement! I always wanted to see Tobirama's full potential. I know he's not Hokage just because he's the little brother of Hashirama. And this chapter just proved that Tobirama is a strong Hokage in his own right. 

 

Also, this chapter showed that Sasuke is indeed more skilled than Naruto. I assume it takes great skills to match one's chakra level to another. Although, when it comes to power, Naruto is definitely stronger. Naruto is a power fighter while Sasuke is a skilled fighter. 

 

Liked the Shikamaru talk. I also believe he's a great Hokage candidate too. And if changing people's hearts are the basic condition of being a Kage, Sakura fits the criteria as well. When people lost all hope, it was her speech that brought hope and led to Shika's doton wall strategy. 

 

One part I didn't like about this chapter is Minato's "You're the main star." Here we have all these alliance shinobis sacrificing their lives for his son, fighting to death against the Bijuu clones, and he calls his own son "the main star"? There should be no such thing as a main star when everybody is equally fighting to death to protect his own son in this deadly battlefield. He shouldn't be claiming his son as the most important, when everybody else is sacrificing their lives to defeat any threat no matter how small it is. If it wasn't for Shikamaru's speech, Minato's words would've done nothing but encouraged the exhausted alliance members that they really are worthless/useless.
