Julien finished dusting himself off and looked up to see where the others had gone, and by the smell of things they'd gotten into a bit of a tiff with some zombies. He drew his swords one in each and cast "Enfire" on his weapons to give them a fire spell attribute. The group of course had no trouble in dispatching their adversaries killing them in their own unique way. It seemed there were only a couple left. Eying a an opening between Skadi and The Barman, a zombie crawling out of one of his graves along the wall. Julien threw the short blade in his left hand pinning the zombie to the wall. Upon impact the zombie lit on fire from the sword's spell-effect and screamed violently until the remaining life-force it had was gone. Julien made his way over to the zombie's cooked remains and withdrew his blade from it's shoulder. As another came creeping up alongside him, crawling on the ground as it had no legs, dragging it's entrails behind it. It hissed and reached up to grab at Julien's coat tails. Julien quickly snapped back and stabbed the creature rapidly with his rapier, robbing it of the chance to get it's nasty hands on him. Killing the last of them.

"That's the last thing I need...I'm going to have to throw these clothes away as soon as we're done with this place."

Murs watched as Twill started dragging the Cowboy away from the mess. As she yelled at him he spun his blade and cut off the hand of an advancing zombie and kicked it across the floor towards Twill.

"You gotta worry about yourself toots." He said as he swung his blade once more slicing the leg from under a zombie and bringing his foot down onto its face coating the bottom of his boot with a disgusting liquid. Cringing he tried wiping his shoes off on the ground and didn't notice an incoming zombie until it laid a hand on his shoulder. He looked up and quickly brought his blade up piercing through the bottom of the zombies jaw and out the top of the skull. He whipped the blade out and kicked the now redead undead into the other oncoming zombies.

"Boy do I love these guys" he mumbled as he went over and engaged a few of the zombies that were going after the helpless duo dragging themselves to the back.

Skadi lands a swift kick to one of the groaning, smelly undead's chest, using the moment it staggered back to thrust one blade through it's throat, pulling it upwards, and twisting, until it no longer had a face. "I said watch for the glowing ones!" She yanked the blade out, kicking the corpse away.

Sheathing her blades she takes two very purposeful steps towards Julien.

"Kid?" She began, and when that didn't get his attention, she did the only thing she could think of.

She punched him, one gloved fist glancing his jaw. He hated being hit in the face "Took you fuckin' long enough!" Skadi then grins at him, before turning away to see what condition the others were in.

"Everyone still alive?"

"Eagh.." He stood there with a blank look on his face..

"What? Better late than never, eh?" He rubbed his chin..."Skadi that really hurt." he said as his jaw popped.

Julien sheathed his weapons and started to walk towards the others as well.

Balian slashed and sliced around him with his burning lance as he laughed. Hearing the young archer cry out, he caster aerora around him, knocking the zombies away from him before rushing to help Twill prop carry Zerva and prop himto an untouched corner of the room. "Damn kid, knocking himself out," he growled to himself.

He kicked a half zombie that was crawling towards him. "Hey, esteemed leader! We need to cut a path outta here!". He shouted to the inquisitor.

"I'm on it!" Ragnarok yelled happily. He took both his swords and stabbed them into one zombie, proceeding to fling him around like a bat, taking out several others. He pulled his blades out, and then spun around, creating a whirlwind that destroyed several lines of zombies. "Woohoo!" He yelled.

"Blood! Blood!" Muspel yelled in excitement, "Burn them all! Wahaha!"
"Eat frostbite, undead!" Nifl screamed at the enemies.

"Thanks, Balian," Twill said, grateful to the man for helping. She quickly strung her bow, shooting another exploding arrow which blasted apart a handful of zombies.

It looked like no matter what they did, there was always a fresh wave of zombies to replace the ones they had defeated. One lunged towards her, but she saw it just in time, moving out of the way as it grabbed clumsily at her. Swinging her bow, she struck it in the head with the back of it, causing it's neck to crack and face the opposite direction. Giving it a swift kick to the abdomen, it fell backwards and she promptly sent an arrow through it.

"An army of the undead," she panted, scanning the room for any clues. "Is it just coincidence, or does it mean we are close to something nobody wanted us to find?"

"Hah!" Balian laughed, impressed at the girl's insight, "Brilliant idea. Still, considering how old these catacombs are, we probably just stumbled on some ancient magical death trap. Must mean there's something reaaalllyy valuable nearby. Could be one o' those magical artifact types." He kicked another zombie away and skewered one that was coming up on his left side and crashed it into the one he kicked. He look at Ragnarok's whirlwind and sheathed Kain onto his strap, shouldering the unconscious Zerva on his back. "Okay, Kiddies! Follow the sword talking maniac!" With a roar, he charged through the horde and moved close to Ragnarok.

While the Zombie-Army was distracted with... Everyone else, really, Skadi busied herself underneath the desk in what used to be a study. It took a few moments, but she picked the lock and smirked to herself. "Now what are you hiding...?"

Opening the wooden chest she pulled out some very old coins, a long weapon that looked like a sword, but was... Heavy. The blade was a dull gray, almost black, and shone a dim red. She pulled out a few more items, jewelry that may or may not be enchanted, a few rings... And a crystal, the length of her palm, with some outward spikes at the end. It shone blue.

The thief grinned and pocketed the crystal, putting everything else in her bag. "I love my job."

It had appeared that Julien had gotten lost after his scuffle with the zombies. He found himself walking down a long narrow pathway...

His curiosity was too much for him to bare as he forgot the group he'd come down here with and continued on alone.

Along side the wall picked up a torch the was covered in cob webs. By now he'd gotten over getting dirty.

"That should do it!" He used a small fire spell to light the torch and he held it out in front of him as he slowly progressed.

Along the way he stepped over old rusty weapons, burial urns, corpses and otherwise skeletal remains.

Finally he arrived in a room filled with long tables littered with wooden plates, bowls, goblets and the like.

"Must be the kitchen.." his stomach rumbled.

Ragnarok impaled two zombies, and kicked one of them off the sword while using the other one as a bludgeon. The zombie fell off the sword after it smacked into other zombies several times. Ragnarok flew above the horde, then shot down, stabbing both his blades into the ground. A circular rune appeared around the zombies, and a storm of flame and ice shot up from the rune. He removed his blades from the ground and looked around.

"No more zombies! For now, at least. Phew." He wiped sweat off his brow, then sheathed his swords.

"Good job, kid." He patted Ragnarok on the head. He looked around, "Aw crap...we all got separated...." He propped Zerva to the wall and sat down, sighing. "Well, great.... Nowhere to go but forward." (Last post for the day, unless I post again...)

Murs watched as the group started to get split apart. He quickly disengaged the remaining zombies and ran over to a large wooden door, he opened it a crack and saw a hallway. He slipped in and shut it behind him quietly, he leaned his ear against the door listening for any of the undead to come knocking but heard none. He figured he gave them the slip and started walking down the dark tunnel. From what he could tell it used to be an area fit for a king, with loads of ancient looking tapestries lining the sides. When he reached the end of the hallway there was nothing but a large two story double door. He leaned against it and heard a loud snap as the piece of rotten piece of wood that once held the door barred shut snapped. He stumbled in at the sudden loss of support and looked around the room. It was gigantic, much larger then he thought could be under the castle, he figured they weren't that far down they hadn't even fallen down the chute for a full minute. In the center of the room was what looked to be a large throne but without light he couldn't be sure. He began walking up the slope to the object and felt crunching under his feet. Looking down he saw he was walking on a pile of what appeared to be human bones stacked up to a create a small hill.

"Wasn't really expecting that" He bent down and poked at one of the skulls, looking around he saw most of the skeletons were completely intact which to him ruled out an invasion. Perhaps it was an illness, or maybe a spell he couldn't be sure as he was no osteologist. He continued walking up the hill slipping every couple of feet expecting to see a throne when he made it to the top. When he finally arrived he was surprised to see it wasn't in throne, it was a very intricate looking pillar. The bones laying around the pillar were the only ones who's clothes seemed to survive. He bent down and examined their robes, they seemed to be priests of some sort but he couldn't be sure. Prodding around their bodies he saw the robes dimly glowed dimly, determining it wasn't really worth it to carry all of them he just kicked the bodies to the bottom of the pile if someone wanted a go at them. He then moved towards the pillar which lit up with lines as soon as he touched it. He took a step back not expecting the light but then examined it closer, the pillar looked as if it was made of interlocking pieces like a puzzle with the light glowing through the gaps left. The pillar was about 15 feet taller then him, his curiosity got the best of him and he started to shimmy to the top. 'There has got to be something up here it's the only reason people make things tall' he thought to himself pleased with his logic. When he made it to the top he pulled himself to rest the upper half of his body on the top while his legs were wrapped around it.

"What the hell it's just a hand" he complained when he saw what was at the top of the pillar. A hand made of the same material as the rest of the pillar stuck up pointing towards the ceiling as if it was trying to grasp something. He felt a light vibration on his waist and looked down to see one of his small bags glowing from within, opening it he saw the rings he had collected earlier. He started playing with the rings and rubbing them on the hand, after awhile of messing with the rings he finally got the bright idea to stick them onto the fingers. As soon as he did the hand closed and the pillar started rapidly descending. Murs let go of it and landed with a thunk of the pile of bones and slid down it getting a little banged up in the process.

"Oh come on" he yelled to himself convinced he was alone at this point, if any enemies were nearby he was sure they would've heard that as the pillar literally shook the ground when it sank down. Picking himself off the ground and brushing the ground bone dust off of his clothes disgusted he started the trek back up the hill. When he arrived at the top the pillar and sunk to the size of podium and the hand on top of it was gone.

"Awesome, I got to waste a bunch of gold to sink a statue." he growled to himself and sat on the ground exhausted after climbing up the shifty terrain. As he leaned his head against the now pitch black glowing podium he heard a pop. Turning around he saw that on top of the podium there was a single ring, silver in color and a single gem that glowed a smorgasbord of colors briefly before fading to a clear crystal. It suddenly exploded into a bright light that faded just as fast and left the ring laying there flickering for a few seconds before sputtering out completely.

"Well that was anticlimactic." he grumbled and put the ring on his finger before sliding down the hill of bones on his butt. He quickly reached the bottom and began his search for the rest of the group.

(Guess who was bored and wrote a long worthless post :-p, it's pretty easy to guess imo)

Zerva began opening his eyes, he was a little dazed from what just happened.

He sat against the wall trying to regain focus in his eyes. "W-what the hell....my heads pounding..." Zerva said trying to stand up.

Standing up didnt really seem like the hardest thing in the world but when you get hit in the head by a huge piece of ice and have a pounding head ache its like climbing a mountain.

As he was on his feet he toppled over and fell on the ground.

With nothing better to do, Skadi decided to explore. The others seemed like they could take care of themselves, and it really wasn't her problem. She wasn't the one who hired them, after all. With that in mind, she opened a surprisingly sturdy wooden door, peering down the dark corridor.

She could hear something walking towards her, so she drew back her bow(that she rarely used) and waited to see who, or what it was...

Only to blink, surprised, when a disgrunted Murs approached her.

"... Murs?" While she didn't trust him, not really, she put the bow away. "You find anything interesting back there?" He looked a bit pissed about something...

Murs looked up surprised to see Skadi.

"Nothing much just some ring and a mountain of dead folk" he answered holding his hand out in front of him examining his ring. 'Totally not worth those other five' he put his hand down and walked over to Skadi.

"Unless you want to hang out with them," Murs pointed to the pile of skeletons in the back with thumb "We might as well keep moving on."

"Well, kid, you took a blow to the head." He looked at Zerva. "Gotta be careful during fights, we might not be there to help you out." He got up and patted his pants, clearing the dirt. "Well, you 2 kids stay here, I'm gonna go scout out ahead." He unsheathed his lance and looked at the burnt-out fire gem. Frowning he flicked it out and replaced it with the light stone. The gem glowed again, making a makeshift torch.

He heard some rumbling from what seemed to be the other side of the wall and decided to examine it. Putting down his pack, he took out his gauntlets and put them on, punching zombies bare handed didn't seem like a good idea. After a moment's decision, he replaced his boots with his armored ones, no sense in kicking zombies without metal between their teeth and his feet. "All right, stay here, holler and scream if you need to." He shouldered his pack and moved on to the darkness.

Balian continued walking, slaying the occasional giant rat when he came across a door to the side, "Hrm....must've passed it while I was charging through." He pushed it but it didn't seem to move. He pulled it and he felt it budge a little. "I think I can open it," he muttered to himself. He continued pulling, feeling it give way little by little, unaware as a clump of rocks behind him began to merge together. "Al...most got...it! There! Ha ha!" He smiled to himself, but then turned around as he heard something thudding towards him. His smile dropped. "Oh fuddruckers," he cursed as a stone golem raised its fists in attack.

Jumping out of the way, the golem destroyed the door, clearing the passageway. "Well, ain't this a weird luck...." Balian rolled again, towards the passage, "the way is open and there's a freaky golem after me...." He ran inside as the golem chased him. "Oh crap!" He ran faster, "Crap, crap, crap!! It's faster than I thought!" He continued running, moving past a handful of zombies as the golem steamrolled all over the undead.

He reached a dead end after turning into another corridor. "Oh balls...." At such a tight spot, he was unable to utilize any of his Dragoon attacks. "Great..." He brandished his lance again at the approaching golem. As it approached, it raised its fist and punched at Balian. Balian used his lance to pole vault over the fist and land on its arm. Seeing a glowing vein-like substance between the cracks of its stone skin, he stabbed it, causing the golem to cry out and smash him against the wall, breaking it and sending him through it.

"Ugh...." Balian groaned, bracing himself up with his lance as he saw what looked like a throne room. He walked weakly and saw two figures near the entrance of the room, blinking and shaking off his stupor, he saw that it was Murs and Skadi. "Oh...hey guys. You might wanna run." And he did just that.

Positioning himself back to a sitting position on the wall he looked up at Twill.

Rubbing his still aching head he began to speak.

"You ok? Sorry I couldnt really do anything I kinda rushed in there without thinking. God's i'm so useless I cant even keep promises to you." Zerva said looking away.

Putting his hand out he motioned for her to help him steady himself while he tried to stand. "Little help here miss?"

Reaching a hand out, she carefully helped Zerva to stand. “What are you saying?” she admonished, “I was worried, you know! But you shouldn’t be ashamed. You didn’t run away, you were right there fighting too!”

Stowing her bow on her back, she dug in her cloak to find the stone she kept near. Pulling it out, she whispered, “Lux.” Immediately the stone lit up with a bright, white light, and she could see in front of her. She had her brother to thank, spelling the little stone to light up like it did. He had a knack for magic, more than she did, and useful stuff too. Not just in things that could destroy, but doing things that were beautiful.

Holding the light out between them, she looked up at Zerva. His eyes seemed somewhat dazed, though he could stand now. “You might have a concussion… Do you think you can walk a bit? I don't think we should stay still for too long."

As he turned to look at her, he couldnt help but look into her shimmering green eyes. He found that when he looked at her he felt comfortable in her pressence he was always tense around everyone else but her for some reason it was different.

"Damn, looks like i'm falling in love with her." Zerva said under his breath.

With a tiny smile on his face he looked in front of them, "Let's get a move on, I don't want to be the one who ends up getting you killed cause of me being clumsy."

As he began walking well more of a limping type of walk he couldn't help but smile that he met someone like Twill.
