But... but... it's so beautiful, and falmers are not that hard to kill at higher levels. I actually think Blackreach is the most beautifull place in all Skyrim.

Lol, don't advance into the main quest so quickly, you might pay dearly. It's best keep doing side quests until you feel that you got powerful enough, I myself was nearly on level 38 when I beated the main quest. Another good thing would get your smithing skill to 90 and forge an Daedra armor, it's the best one in the game, it's pretty easy to do that too, just kill all wolfs and bears you find and use their pelts to make leather braces, your skill will go up pretty quickly.

Draugrs are easy for me. I have the perk under Sneak that makes archery dmg x3 when hidden or undetected, so I just sneak up to them and shoot them before they get out of the wall. My archery dmg is high enough that it one-shots them.

Can you hit them when they're in the sarcophagi? I usually do sneak attacks on them when they're just lying down, pretending to be dead.

Finally cleared Blackreach. Rang that huge bell for the ancient dragon to come on, and I just hid on top of a tower and sniped him with 50 arrows.

I hardly think you could take down an draugr scourge with just some few arrows, unless you're playing on very easy. I have an ebony battle axe that do over 100 damage points, and that barely takes 20% of their health, but if you are just talking about standard draugrs, miss, you still have to see hell.

Maybe I should play this game, got it on offer at Amazon's Black Friday offers, in the UK, but it' not really my type of game, something about western RPG's put me off.

Anyway this game will go down in history as the first ever Western Game to get a perfect 40 in the well known Japanese Famitsu magazine.

If you want to max out your smith the fastest thing you can do is just make Iron daggers. Buy the stuff you need to make them then sell the Daggers you make back. No need to waste time killing animals unless your an enchanter like me in which case I go after the animals and take their souls too!!!

I was reading about that 40/40 on Famitsu too. Awesome stuff.

I also havent gone to Blackreach either yet. I'll take my time looking at the scene and appreciate it while I kill things.

Holy damn, I was doing the Winterhold quest line when I got out of the building and an elder dragon suddenly barged in, I actually thought it was part of the quest lol, but I realized it was just an random dragon encounter, and it was the first one I fought, even harder then an frost dragon at level 12, but I started to use Shadow's tatics and actually pretty usefull and the Dragonrend is an good stun shout too, either on air or ground, and the very quick recharge time helps.

Ah, Winterhold, oddly, dragons don't attack as often in the College as I used to, in my game.... Maybe the recent patch did it. Either that, or since buying Breezehome in Whiterun, I don't go as often as I used to.

Those pillars around the courtyard also helps a lot. Still, be very careful when exiting any of the buildings there, that area's a dragon hotspot, sometimes they'll land and Shout at you while you're talking to someone outside.

After watching some videos of the game on master difficulty I realized this is an difficulty not even worth touching, only for self punishment really, so in my next playthrough I won't try anything harder then expert. But what aways puts me off is the incredible inconcistence on the difficulty wheel, see, on one side we have these legendary dragons that are feared by all, and when you fight them, their attacks don't do too much damage and is considerably easy to put them down, and on the other side we have human characters that shouldn't even compare to the power of an dragon, yet they nearly have as much health as an dragon, and yet they seem to do four time more damage, I mean, even on level 40, an bandit chief easily 4 hit kill me while I'm wearing my best set of armor, I thought enemies weren't supposed to level with me, but even if they do, are they really supposed to make this ridiculous quantities of damage?

Very true. Going through their items I noticed there's no way they should be doing 100+ damage with an arrow or a sword strike. Hell most are not supposed to do 50+ but they seem to break through it.
The only time I found it acceptable was when I was 1-shoted by an arrow. My character landed on his back and I noticed an arrow sticking out of his eye.

It's possible you don't have a lot of perks in your armor skills. The first perk for Heavy Armor, for instance, has 5 levels. Although, I do know what you're saying, though. I do have a tendency to get my health down to instant execution animation levels in 3 or 4 hits, for instance.

Also....the supposed great faction leaders of both the Stormcloaks and the Imperials, they squabble like children during the Peace treaty negotiation. bash.gif

I have all the (useful) perks for heavy armor, so that's not the issue, I think Bethesda just messed up and made certain enemies much more powerfull that they are supposed to be. I mean, I don't mind if certain enemies are very though, but their attack damage is simply impausible.
On other notes I just made my set of daedra armor (on the epic skyforge no less), hopefully, it will give me an extra edge, now I have over 300 points of armor, let's see how well it handles some punishiment.
Lol, Shadow, you had been on this peace teatry for quite an while, haven't you? I couldn't resist Ulfric epic speech so I decided to kick some Imperial ass. BTW, I had been wondering, do you guys think that an possible future DLC could be an aftermath for the civil war quest and dealing with the Thalmor?

I tend to do a part of the main quest then wonder off and do other quests. I had to finish Jagged Crown in order to get the Legate Commander Tullius to go to the damn treaty because he kept telling me to go and do what Rikke told me to do. So, several sidequests later, I actually do the Jagged Crown quest and tell him to go to the treaty. Man, I just wander everywhere.... XD

It's official, enemy base damage is cheated, even with daedra armor, bandits marauders and bandit chiefs still do the same amount of damage, wich means they are simply ignoring part of my armor, so I seriously hope an patch is released to fix it soon before I lose my mind!!!!
Thank god I have the wabbajack wich is failure proof, unless I duplicate my enemy...

Lol, it's really not a big issue, just back away or move all over the place, it's not hard. Use Frost spells to drain their stamina so they don't do their power attacks. Use potions.... I have a huge stack of different kinds of potions, resist potions, magicka potions, stamina potions, assorted poisons..... I'm basically a walking laboratory. XD

Shadow, I'm fiding your wolfish grin... unsettling.

On other note, I just finded out that the beggar in whiterun give you the recipe of potion of plentiful healing after an minor quest... way to go dumbass, I could had really avoided some trouble if I knew that.
