Some of these people straight up are just ridiculing Harold Camping. Some are just having a little fun, making a joke or two. But theres always going to be some who are gonna make a jab, even if they know one person does not represent an entire faith. OR some are just a little uneducated. Like Osama Bin Laden and islam. He made things hard on the religion he claimed to following, but used for his own agenda. And its a shame, muslims are a peaceful people. Its a frustratingly moronic concept.

I make fun of everything. It's how I work. It ain't about respect or anything of the sort. I just don't believe things like religion should just be closed off from humor just because some people might take it too seriously.

First of all, you need to earn my respect. I'm not going to hand you respect just because you're around at the time to demand it. If you, or the brat who invented the idea of 'instant respect to everyone and anyone' grew up a little and read a book older than 1945, you'd realize that respect has to be earned through trust, prestige, or prowess. You display none of these.

Secondly, it is about your own self-pity. If you don't like everyone taking everything plus the bathroom-sink to your religion, then go somewhere else to complain about it; don't bring everyone else down because of your own insecurities. This, primarily, is why most people never say anything fun in America: they're afraid of 'consequences' by pale-faced, insecure people who cannot take criticism or humour in the slightest. In. The. Slightest.

While some people are taking this and using it to bash Christians and religion itself, which I think is ridiculous, I promise I'm only poking fun at the people who believe this particular preacher. I agree with you Darth Krypt. I don't think it's okay to be so tolerant of religious bashing but freaking out at the sight of character bashing. This preacher represents HIS beliefs and no one elses so don't bunch all religious people together with him.
