Sorry X) I mean what are the requirements to be a Jinchurriki?? How are they chosen among other people? It's something I haven't noticed Kishi actually go into detail yet and I wanted to know If I might have missed something that talked about it.

@Moondrop04: At least in the Sand Village they pick and choose seemingly randomly, because most of them died, according to Chiyo during the Gaara rescue arc (I guess they didn't know, so they just experimented, shoving massive chakra into random babies)

Wow, I got quite a few replies, well, I'm glad someone out there likes the series as much as I do, and I completely get that not everyone is crazy about the show/love triangles..

 

I think one of the main reasons why i like it more, is that (like I said before) both of the girls are badass, even though Korra assumes Asami is some kind of prissy girl, we all find out that there is more then what meets the eye. 

 

Now back to main topic, I think that after this fight with Gai, there is going to be some moment with Naruto and Sakura, her birthday, that's still coming up? 

 

Should I put any hope in this? I know things don't always happen to the characters on there birthdays, but I have this hope....

 

I just feel that this set-up is just to perfect...He has Narusaku on pause pretty much,  so while the fight goes on, there is this great chance to have a heart to heart moment, Obito is there, when his character development is over, which I feel is soon... I can't help but think that Naruto's feelings for Sakura just has to have focus....Also, there are just so many things that Obito can relate to when it comes to Naruto, If there is one thing that I would LOVE Obito to say to Naruto,would be something along the lines of ...

 

Telling the girl you fancy how you feel, because life is short, anything could happen. Before Naruto goes back to battle;which he will...I think he will finally confess to Sakura, if not IN cube world, then sometime after Obito gives him some that advice I mentioned. 

 

It all sounds a bit fanfictiony....but I got a good feeling about the next couple of chapters, I think 2 or 3 chapters from now...There HAS to be something said in that cube world that is going to change things...the set-up is too perfect.

My two cents on the Sasuke "Sweetness" Sweepstakes....

 

Back in Part I, during the fight with Gaara, Sasuke told Naruto that he had to save Sakura and for the two of them to get away.  Sasuke then said, "Never again.  I already lost everything once before... I don't ever want to watch those dear to me die before my eyes again..."  Sakura was definitely one of Sasuke's "dear" people -- at least at that time.

 

But it wasn't a kindness or expression directed to Sakura; to her face he calls her annoying and useless.  Sasuke simply isn't the sweet or nice type.  Maybe it's an Uchiha thing -- the coldness, the swaggering ego and condescension -- or maybe it was something born from his childhood losses.  Or all of the above.  

 

He cares about Naruto, too, and has a (very) grudging respect for him, but has routinely run him down as well -- calling him an idiot, looking down on his feelings and abilities.  That attitude has persisted all the way through to the present.  Sasuke is aware of Naruto's strength, but he still considers him less experienced, less righteous, and less worthy than himself.

 

Sasuke is not concerned with people liking him.  His feelings for others (limited as they may be) are for and about HIM, not the other person.  That's why he was able to turn them off when he decided to defect.  His feelings, his choice -- right?  It didn't matter to him that he was affecting others with his decision to cut the bonds and leave.

 

Karin is part of Sasuke's new life.  She has been part of his new path and vision.  Karin is useful to Sasuke, and does not represent any pressure or distraction from his goals.  Unlike Naruto and Sakura, Karin is a dark soul.  She doesn't beg him to think of others or to do the right thing.  She devotes herself to being instrumental to Sasuke's effectiveness, no matter what he asks of her. 

 

As we all know Sasuke has been cruel to Karin, not hesitating to betray her trust and devotion and kill her for his own purposes.  But in a weird way it wasn't personal.  He decided that killing Danzo was worth more to him than what Karin represents.  Her feelings never entered into it, because no one else's feelings EVER enter into Sasuke's decisions.  And for Karin, it's a little like that old parable about the farmer who finds a viper freezing in the snow and tucks it into his coat.  Once the snake warms up it bites the farmer, saying, "You knew I was a snake when you picked me up."

 

Karin knew Sasuke was a snake when she chose to devote herself to him.  Technically, she's a snake too.  Before Sasuke she was loyal to Orochimaru for a long time -- jailor of monsters, willing assistant to Frankenstein-esque experiments on human beings, etc.  She has not exactly been a paragon of virtue.  Karin has done things, made choices, and been the type of person that Sakura could never be.  You might say that Sasuke is more comfortable with Karin, because they are more alike in terms of their values.

 

Karin has been at Sasuke's side as he's become a man.  Likewise, Sakura has been at Naruto's side as he's become a man.  And the two relationships are decidedly visceral.  Physical and intimate, if not yet romantic.  Sasuke draws strength and healing through biting Karin's flesh, and Naruto has been healed by Sakura's chakra countless times.  He is still alive at this moment because Sakura sealed his lips with hers and breathed air into his lungs, and gently massaged his heart with her bare hand.

 

Those sorts of bonds -- and the shared experiences that form them -- are what make relationships more real and mature.  I would never say Sasuke has been "sweet" to either girl, but it is clearly Karin who has shared his life by his own choice.

Every once in awhile, I will read posts, blogs, or articles from the opposing fandoms. I read them to make sure I don't get to blindsided by my own bias, yet I always get upset or angry when I read them. Nearly all of those comments fail to understand why NS fandom like the pairing so much, and just look at what is wrong at it. I am the first to admit that NS isn't the perfect pairing, but the arguments always fail because they are too focused on their opinion and don't pay attention the real reason why we care about the pairing. The NS arguments are also guilty of it in a lot of blogs or articles, but at least the best ones are the ones that at least used logic and basic reasoning. 

 

So I came to the conclusion that I need to understand the opposing fandom, and why they care (or hate) so much of what they support. However I am currently finding it difficult, since I personally don't like NH and frankly despise SS. A lot of people here claim to be friends of the opposite fandom, so I am curious why they care so much of NH or SS (or hate all the pairings).

I love the way you describe the relationship between Sasuke and Karin. How they are both snakes and accept the consequences of the choices they make.

 

It's one of the reasons I always say that SasuKarin is the dark counterpart of NaruSaku. It's still clear that NS has more development and is the most important pair, but when you take NS and SK for what they are instead of thinking about the panel time you can notice how each pair serves as foil for the other.

 

Add to the fact that Naruto and Sasuke are meant to develop and parallel as equally as possible, how Kishi has a recurring theme of light clashing against dark, and the way Sakura and Karin were paralleled some chapters ago, it's very easy to connect the dots.

Guys and girls of course even though I once said that I wouldn't create another rant, I'm in the mood for yet another one.   This one will be about Sakura's confession, what happened after it, Sakura loves Sasuke so much that she wants to kill him, Naruto hasn't rejected Hinata therefore NH is canon, etc. you know the classical arguments.

Now if you want that like my comment, reply to my comment, pm me whatever your choice and tell me do you want a fourth rant from me or not. I'm asking this again because I don't want make another one, post it just so I can feel happy about my "achievement", I want you to enjoy it, not to read it because I say so.

Now if I do this it will be posted within 1-3 months from now, I'm currently busy. There is a good chance that NS will be official by the time I'm done so take that into consideration.

I think there's just too much bitterness between the fandoms. I only follow nice NS blogs, but since I don't keep track of the NH fandom I only run into the loud ones. The loud ones are those only seeking havoc. I have even seen some nice SS blogs, because of multishipping(multishippers are usually one of the nicest). But even the nicest people will mock others if you set them off in the wrong mood.
 
If we stop with the generalizations like "NS/NH/SS fans are", misunderstandings won't occur as often, and people won't feel personally hit. Accusations such as "I bet they're stalking the anti-tag", "they're lying, they're just jealous", should be avoided too. And when a fan is simply pointing out a mistranslation, it doesn't need to be connected to their ship. Don't tell them they're just saying it because it benefits their OTP. Lastly if a fan is rude to you, don't be rude back. (no this'll never happen, it's gone way too far and for way too long)
 
Did you post this because of the recent tumblr discussion? I saw that on my dash. Like if a fan says they're not stalking the anti-tag, why must you accuse them of lying? It's ridiculous, over such petty things..

It won't affect Kishi, why would you feel bad for him..

 

Even though the romance is minor in the story, it is connected to the bigger parts, such as the Team 7 dynamic. It is not an added bonus sub-plot, it's a branch of the main theme in the story.

Well i don't know about the others but i always enjoy reading your rants they are very entertaining so you have a green light from me  .

I just wanted to throw my two cents on top of it. 

 

I think Karin is what Sakura would have been if she had gone with Sasuke when they were 12. 

 

It's a pretty simple statement, but they have so much in common as far as personality wise. Both 'love' Sasuke despite him being an egotistical jerk. They both has strong personalities (hitting others is just part of it lol). There is just a line that Karin can cross that Sakura can't. Which we see when she tried to kill Sasuke. 

 

But maybe I'm pointing out the obvious.
