Well she was never relevant in the manga so that is a logical way to think. Why should we care about her ending if we barely saw her nor her development?

" Should I consider the mutual development between Naruto and Sakura OR should I reward Hinata's lifelong wish? " -- Kishimoto was in a serious dilemma.

He closed his eyes for a moment to think about this matter.

Inner Kishimoto- " Go where the $$$$ takes you dobe ".

Kishimoto- " Yes, I guess. But I still am a little unsure...my story was written for...Naruto and Sakura seem more... "

Inner Kishimoto- " A strong willed woman who won't take your kitten OR a doormat who will worship you. I cannot believe you needed me for this. Its such an easy decision ! "

Kishimoto-  * grins * " No more doubts ! "

Later, Kishimoto in public interview- " This was how I wanted to end my story all along, really ! "

Inner Kishimoto- " HAHAHAHAHAAA, Man I'm good at retconning! "

Kishimoto- " Hinata's devotion won over Naruto in the end. And Sakura only ever loved Sasuke. So..."

Inner Kishimoto- " When will this interview end? I want to go to the bank and count my $$$$ "

lol That Kishimoto interview where he states that he didn't put romantic love into the manga/avoided it because it too embarrassing. Says a lot about all the NS development I suppose.

http://www.saiyanisl...ruto-the-movie/

While the manga was geared toward friendship, the theme in The Last: Naruto the Movie will be about love. Kishimoto-sensei explains the idea was originally from the anime producers. He himself was unable to write about love in the manga, it was something he avoided due to feelings of embarrassment, so he felt this could go well as a movie theme to further show Naruto’s growth. The script for the movie was not written exclusively by Kishimoto-sensei, rather he was given a script so that he could recommend changes to properly flesh out the story and set the mood.

So not only was the idea not his he didn't even write the script, just suggested changes? What more can we say about that.....the more you find out about the movie the more you can't help but feel that the theory about Kishi's hand being forced being true, you can't help but wonder if he was convinced that fans don't care for the pairings and that NaruHina would be fine, or did they have him in a contractual obligation?

Maybe part three really is a way of Kishi connecting the original two pairings together, Bolt and Salad, is his way of spritually getting NaruSaku and SasuKari together.

While I do want to believe it, the chances are we may never find out the truth behind this movie....everything about the plot stinks so far, Kishi's quality might have dipped this past few years, but it was still enough to keep you interested in the manga, and a hundred times better than everything in the movie. So I should accept the facts we know that the theories.

A part of me can't comprehend how someone who gave us strong female (though not always well written) female charactors like Tsunade, Kushina, Karin, Temari and Sakura would make Hinata the final pairing, he's shown us through the entire manga he prefers that spice when it comes to pairings, even the brief moment we were shown the Third Hokages wife we say a strong independant woman...Mikoto might have been the only typical 'Hinata ' like mother and even she was shown having some personality when she teases Kushina. Hinata literally goes against everything he has shown about the type of woman he prefers.

Maybe i'm grasping a straws here, but this movie just won't leave my mind, anything else I would have given up weeks ago, but this movie is literally the antihesis of the 698 chapters of the manga, it's a puzzle that literally does not make sense. I want to believe Kishi hasn't sold out, so maybe I'd rather believe his hand was forced, Kishi has already made millions, I doubt this movie would add tha much more to his bank account than a movie based around Team Seven. Ahhh...too many conspiracy theories out there nowadays that it's hard to accept anything at face value.

Sasuke would look at Hinata and say: Uhm ... who are you again???

Well, by George, don’t talk about that because no one likes a bragger. Same with being sad, no one likes a Debbie Downer. All I see in the interview is further Naruto's growth in this movie... what growth exactly? If 699, 699.5 (The Last), and 700 depict anything, it's that Naruto didn't grow up at all and more importantly abandoned his morals and ultimately accomplished hallow victories.

Like a majority of us have been stating, there was a higher sense of accomplishment after the Pain Arc. Here's my reasons for that, Naruto didn't really think of Sasuke once during that whole arc, nor did anyone else, Naruto actually learned the struggles of losing someone close to him, some lesser characters got some involvement, Hinata got what we thought would be closure, Naruto looked past revenge, didn't really like Nagato much despite that, Sakura did some neat things earlier, even called out for Naruto, our orange hero gotta a loud round of applause for saving his village thus getting what he always wanted from them: acceptance and recognition, a pretty intimate hug in public between Naruto and Sakura, and last a Hinata looking on smiling. The only downside of this arc was the hand wave of the deaths Pain/Nagato had caused

I don't think it's a stretch to say that was the high point for the manga and was far more emblematic of the themes and values of the manga than the slop we got in 699 & 700.

Kishi's obsession with the Uchiha was so detrimental to the overall story.

That is what we need after war, but hey! This was to good to be true.

Pain vs Naruto should have been the end of the War honestly... Sasuke should have been the last living Uchiha villain in all regards. We didn't seriously need Obito (though that reveal didn't exactly kill the manga for me) and Madara was a dead/living plot hax that Kishi's only way of beating him was somehow making a more god-like person somehow weaker cause him to explode

Yeah... Because Naruto didn't get any resolution at all! That's just pure kittening on your readers ;\

I hate how Naruto had two love interests--same with Sakura.
I thought the romance in Naruto was about moving on from the bad guy and getting with the good guy; Turned out it was about moving on from the so-called "mean" girl and getting with the nice safe average girl who always loved you. The message is more misogynistic that way--and like Tiller's been saying--it's more a lesson for beta males than the confident alpha male we wanted Naruto to be.

Perfectly said. Sasuke should have stayed a damn villain. The rest is just padding at this point.

It's not even a lesson, because "two" intrests never was there, Naruto had only one, and Sakura had only crush of fangirl (but maybe for girls it's love, I don't know that), and Hinata consideret that feeling love - but I don't think it was love.

You are right, I suppose, but I'm uncomfortable with the use of alpha and beta male. It sends the same type of wrong messages that does the argument that Naruto should have gotten Sakura because he was a "Nice Guy." Alpha and beta male reeks of the same type of red pill misogyny that does Kishi's comments about Sakura being a terrible woman.

Looks like there will be another Kishi interview on the 13th:

To be revealed on December 13th
in Manga Road Kobayashi, with Kishimoto as a guest star.
He'll explains stuff, like why Sakura's parents aren't in the manga, The truth about Neji's Death.
His opinion about Sakura as a character.
Stuffs he couldn't put in the last chapter for various reasons.
And what to expect from the franchise from now on.
