The seal does make the most sense for being Sakura's power up because of the foreshadowing and it would fulfill the decree requirements. The only problem with the Yin seal is that it shortens the user's life. However, Tsunade surpassed Mito in terms of the Yin seal by developing new techniques. Perhaps Sakura who is supposed to surpass Tsunade, will find a way to use the Yin seal without shortening her life?

If Tsunade dies two interesting things could potentially happen:
1) Naruto rises as the Sixth Hokage
2) Sakura rises as the inheritor of Tsunade's abilities
I'm not saying that the possibilities are good for any of them, considering that Naruto has that issue of not wanting to be Hokage before saving Sasuke and us not knowing if Sakura could actually get any new technique, but the thought of it happening feels nice.
Maybe is not that Naruto would become the Hokage but that there would be a scene in which the entire alliance acknowledges that Naruto has what it takes for it to become a reality.

Well, the entire village of Konoha already acknowledges him as a hero, even people like Shikaku have said that Naruto's charisma makes people want to follow him. Now, he's essentially leading the Shinobi Alliance charge. I think that the alliance already acknowledges him as a great leader, and the next logical step in the story would be for him to officially attain the title of Hokage, as he has always aspired to do.

That seems to be the answer to everyone's problems these days
Though considering shes cut in half I think the one certainty is that she is not going to make it. Since she had a large impact on the story she can't just die quietly. Shikamaru inherited Asuma's will when he died, Naruto inherited Jiraiya's will and sage jutsu when he died, Sasuke inherited Orochimaru when he was assimilated??? Therefore if Tsunade dies, Sakura will most likely inherit her will or in this case the Yin seal.

I think when Naruto x Sasuke final fight happen, Naruto will already have become Hokage. I think Kishi wants us to fear that he might die in this battle... but he keeps saying that he can't die until he became hokage ... I think he will achieve most of his goals before that fight happen to give that feeling of "I reached everything I wanted, now I can die in peace with you"....

Don't forger about Jiraiya. She did say that he wouldn't have to put up a tough front for her the next time she saw him.
I guess Jiraiya and Dan will have to battle it out in the afterlife for Tsuande's affection.

Lol that would been amusing. That said if she were to die, I hope she reflects something on Jiraiya because we need a true closure about her status with Jiraiya.

Did that happen in the manga too? I couldn't seem to find it as I was skimming through their little subplot before the Rain infiltration.

Lol I haven't seen it yet, but i hear its kind to Narusaku. Unfortuently its not Canon, but Kishi did help make it...
Also Sakura power up would be nice, maybe she uses Yin seal to bring back both Naruto and Sasuke or she has to choose and choose Naruto, actually scratch that I don't want that, nor is that necessary lol.

From chapter 380:

Yep, Tsuande was finally ready to open herself up to love again. But then our favorite pervy sage dies.

Well in the anime she asks him why he won't find a woman and settle down and raise a family. In the manga Jiraiya's feelings are obvious, though Tsunade does react pretty strongly to his death so you can speculate. However, the only thing that is canon is Tsunade and Dan. Poor Jiraiya
@redragon88
Nice find! Maybe there's hope for our pervy sage. As long as he stays out of Sage mode he should be fine

JiraTsu would've become canon if Pain didn't cockblocked with all his hate issues.
On a serious note I like this quote about their relationship:
I believe the tears she shed for Jiraiya were tears of true love...but even more than that they were tears of regret that she hadn't accepted his advances earlier, a man that had always loved and cared for her and could have made her happy again. Then again, even if she had accepted his advances at some point prior and they had become lovers chances are he might have died at some point anyway causing Tsunade even further grief. In a way, them never becoming a couple was perhaps for the best. On the other hand, Jiraiya may have been more careful and fled from his battle in Amegakure had they been a couple in order to return to her.

shortening life is one of the most generic side effects ever concieved. honestly it's used so much in anime/manga. its there because theres a risk that poses no immediate threat but its a threat that seems like something to be worried about when in actuality you'll never see the side effects.

This scene tells so much about JiraTsu. It's like showing that there's love towards each other. I like this scene so much. The bench scenes have meanings in this manga so it seems XD
Don't want Tsunade to die. Plus, it's enough with Jiraiya dead * sigh *. If she died, I think we'll know some of the things that needs to be unfold.
