Honestly, I wouldn't be so mad if Doflamingo got back up, because I expect him to be a beast, as he should and I'll go into they more a little bit later, but I think that you might be jumping a conclusion. Remember that last chapter there was a twenty minute timeskip tht skipped over he fight, that panel could be part of the time skip. So you might be overreacting a bit.

Looking at it again, you might be right, and that might be after the Lion Bazooka, but who's to say that's his strongest attack. Luffy just got in to gear 4, so it would kinda be a bit of a waste if we only saw one chapter of it. Doflamingo was meant to be strong, Luffy recognized that he might not be emperor level himself, that's why he joined up with law in the first place anyway. They were going to tag team Kaido. But over everything, I sincerely doubt that we've seen what Luffy can do, because up until this point, we haven't really seen what Doflaming can do. I would be a bit disappointed if Doflamingo went down so easily because he's been portrayed as a big shot, and we haven't really seen just what it is that separates him from others.

Think about it this way: yes, Doflamingo was nervous about fighting an emperor, but at the same time, he was cool with fighting a former admiral, so in all honesty, we might have done Doflamingo a disservice and underrated him. He might actually be a lot closer to Kaido than we initially gave him credit for. I would honestly wait till we see how Luffy ends the fight before we judge, because if you remember, this fight only started 3 chapters ago. We haven't even gotten into the good stuff yet.

Yeah apparently, which makes laws claim from last chapter valid. Burgess tries to kill Luffy while he's down apparently as well. Gotta admit, that is a really kitten drawback to have in the new world XD it addresses your concern though, gear 2 and 3 are now still completely relevant.

but in time gear 2 and 3 will be rendered irrelevant. luffy will eventually overcome the time limit on gear 4 :(

Hmm maybe, I think that he'll only chip away at the time though, so that by the end of the series he'll be able to use it whenever, not before. So technically, gear 2 and 3 might be on the table for a long time.

but seriously, luffy better immediately pop out gear 4 when he faces opponents like doffy and not bring that weak shi* like gear 2 and 3, because it's not going to cut it from here on out. i hate that its come to this, but it is what it is. gear 2 and 3 is for fodders and gear 4 is for top dogs

It want clear how much damage was done to Luffy by the awakening, and it is conceivable that Luffy would have a hard time trying to get to Doflamingo, because the environment itself was turned to string and could be manipulated. His attack last chapter might have been one of a little opportunities that he might have had.

Hmm, luffy, maybe it's not so bad. Luffy said that he needs one more attack on Doflamingo. Looks like he hasn't used his best move yet.
