I would certainly hope so. I don't really care if it isn't important to the plot. It just seems weird that we know next to nothing about our main heroine's family. I don't think her parents are dead or anything like that though, since Sakura mentioned during her confession to Sasuke that she had both friends and family and she also mentioned in chapter 3 that if she did half the things Naruto did, her parents would ground her or something along those lines. Still, I would very much like to see Sakura's parents, mostly because I am interested in seeing how they might have influenced her in terms of personality. I have always had a feeling that Sakura's parents were very strict, in the sense that they wanted her to do good in school and always behave. That would certainly explain her bookworm-ish attitude and her split personality.

Personally I don't think that we will. Also at this point Sakura's childhood seems completly irrelavent (to me at least), but I'm pretty sure that they are both alive because I remember hearing somewhere that Sakura was the only member of Team 7 that didn't have any form a tragety (aside from the Nine-Tails attack of course).

Yeah, I remember that. That was indeed an interesting theory. If it turns out to be true, I wonder what impact it will have on Sakura's role in the story, if any. I mean, will it just be like "Oh, I'm the reincarnation of the Sage's wife?! Cool..." or will it entail Sakura discovering or learning some sort of new awesome power?

Adding on to this, Kagome from Inuyasha was the reincarnation of Kikyo and she didn't have her mind replaced nor did she become her. Hell, her NOT being Kikyo was one of the main focal points of the series. (Though the resemblance was mind-blowing)

I remember Kishi was once asked about Sakura's 'back-story' in an interview. He only said she's just "a normal girl". When I first read this I was disappointed since I love characters having lengthy back-stories (ex. all the x-men). But I think its actually an important that sakura is 'normal' with parents for the dynamic of team 7(mostly in part 1). I say this because Naruto and Sasuke were both orphaned and so when all three of them were put together on a team it created a kind of disconnect and tension between them and Sakura because she didn't understand what it was to not have parents or a hard childhood. She was always striving for Sasuke's attention but it always seemed that part of Sasuke's reasons for ignoring her was that 'she couldn't understand him'. Naruto and Sasuke where always pre-occupied with large ideas and pursuits while Sakura seemed vapid. Its contrast of character and contrast in any form creates interest. Of course she has since grown and changed a lot making for wonderful character development. I'd even say out of all the character's she has changed the most from the very begining of the series.
I get your initial distaste but I'd beg to differ. Reincarnation specifically means you are still the same 'soul'.
Anyway there are an infinite interpretations of reincarnation. My favorite way its handled is in ATLA/LOK. Each Avatar is the same soul so they can communicate and gain knowledge from their past lives but each Avatar is very much an individual. Korra is nothing like Aang.

I agree, I forgot to mention avatar. It's basically the complete opposite if his idea of reincarnation. Plus, not to mention Kid Buu from Dragon Ball Z

Not at all, you contain similar traits and image. But you're a completely different person that the person you're reincarnated to. I like the fact where kishi is taking naruto's character. Although this is the NS thread, so I'm not going to continue this here.

A victory is momentary, but a failure is forever. Failure is well enjoyed with friends and love ones.

whatevs, doesn't have to be all heavenly romance.
If he's a reincarnation, it kinda reminds me of Avatar. Which is fine.

A lot of people would be disappointed and a lot of people wouldn't care. It's a pretty easy question to answer. What's next?

It would be a sh*tty manga. I kinda want Sasukarin, cause of their clans. Highly unlikely, but I hope so. Naruto must be with Sakura, and no one else. He loves her and only her. I know other stories has performed this random pairings like Digimon, but if I know Kishi-sensei right, he's not the type. He's planned everything from the beginning. The least I can hope for is just a hint that he ended up with Sakura - for instance seeing his whiskered, pink-haired daughter(or son
