Oh man, not this again. Now, I feel all pouty and sad. Looks like such a memory that makes people to sad to think that Naruto never had that in the real canon world. We all knew that Kushina and Minato are great people. They would have been better parents and Naruto would have been a better person for it. Maybe, this is some sort of weird message that the story is trying to tell us.

Well, actually... that's not Kishimoto's drawing. It was done by Tetsuya Nishio, one of the staff at Pierrot. But yeah, they're just as cruel as Kishi....

What are they hiding? Movie Trailer are normally out between 2 or 6 months before the Movie premiere. Does he feel that he will turn fan down if he reveal too much? Honestly this is too odd.

I guess we have to wait two weeks more huh? Well, okay then. By then, we should have all info on Konoha's background (alternate) by then. Then the trailer will give us the plot and some good scenes. With that said, these sketches are killing me. Why Naruto got to be the one to get tormented!

In the end of movie, when his parents say farewell to Naruto and Sakura , maybe Kushina will advice Sakura to take care of her son (future wife)

Actually, JK Rowling copped to having accounts on several high profile HP sites to read forums and join their chat groups to see what people were saying -- about her books, however, not the movies. She did say she never read any fan fiction based on her work, although she supported it, but she occasionally did her own reconnaissance online. Her admission shocked/surprised a lot of people.

Point being, surely no one can speak with authority as to what Kishimoto does or doesn't do regarding his fandom. Only he (and possibly his wife, lol) knows for sure. That's the magic of the internet. I would think the language barrier restricts him as much as anything else (outside of his Japanese fandom, that is), a problem JK Rowling didn't have since the big fandom sites were in her native language.

Wow, seriously?? I bet those HP forum mods and admins had a heart attack when they found out... I wonder if some of them attempted to trace Rowling...

This sucks so much that the trailer has been delayed for 15 days I was really looking forward to it too since there's no chapter or episode this week.

Ah well, we'll get it eventually. But that is interesting that they felt the need to delay is so much; to my knowledge they never delayed a trailer before because they were worried about which scenes to show.

As for the new sketch of Naruto and his parents, they really know right where to hit you in the heart. If the stills are this bad, just imagine what its going to be like animated!

I cannot wait to see Sakura meeting Naruto's parents and interacting with them! That has got to be the one of number one things that I'm most looking forward to seeing in this movie.

I doubt it's that, more likely because this movie is very special with Kishimoto's direct involvement, they want to keep fans guessing until they see the movie. Kishimoto might have seen seen the first cut of the 90 second trailer and told them he thought it gave too much of the story away and asked them to redo it with different clips.

Definitely. I especially want to see Sakura interacting with Minato. But a funny scene I hope with see between Kushina and Sakura, is one where Kushina says "dattebane" and Sakura's reaction to that.

So cute in a lot of aspects, but sad in others for obvious reasons.

Be interesting to see what colors the animation team makes Naruto's clothes- if they go with the orange color scheme. The animators gave Kushina brown sandals rather than the more common blue and black (Brown is worn though, Sakura had brown ones when she was in her early years at the Academy, and in the manga she had green ones at first when she graduated.)

I cosplay Kushina at anime conventions with a realistic looking baby doll as baby Naruto. If the animators give us color pictures of baby Naruto's outfits I can make that outfit for my doll. (I need to change out the shirt on the outfit though, but just haven't gotten around to it- I made it before Kishimoto did a color illustration of it. I completely lucked out on the jumper dress color, I got the exact shade of green that he ended up using for the cover of volume 53! I picked a very pale pink for the shirt though (the colors compliment nicely). In Kishimoto's color drawing it's not pure white like it is in the anime, there's just the slightest suggestion of pink in it (you can see it on the original Japanese print run, it gets bleached out in the American print run, and Kushina's jumper looks a bit lighter too (I have both versions on that volume- I do that on volumes I really like)- but I'll probably go with ivory- an offwhite with just a hint of pink would be a really difficult fabric color to find. I did alter the sleeve design from Kishimoto's slightly because in real life the short cap style sleeve isn't that attractive on a significant percentage of people, myself included, plus I hate how it feels. I altered it a standard non fitted short sleeve.

That's true. But KnS and I would beg to differ on that. That's pretty much the beauty of the internet. Anything can happen. Kishimoto could just easily ask his editor or Pierrot to see the comments and show it to him. If anything he might probably just take a quick glance for a couple of minutes at some comments and he's back to working again.

Yup. They're fanservice. No questions asked. But these fanservice sketches really do well building up the hype for the movie.
