I'm still shocked how he basically kicked everyone out of the fandom but NH and SS, and the neutrals that can tolerate how badly written the story has become.

Still can't get over how butchered Naruto's and Sakura's characters are in this movies... Sakura looks awful because she's waiting for Sasuke and seeing as he is never around one way or another (seemingly still having one of the smallest roles in this movie) that sucks, while Naruto sounds like a prick for supposedly only "loving" Sakura because of his rivalry with Sasuke.

From your experiences with the netural fandom on NF, Tiller, if you were to give a percentage estimate for the amount of people who were content with the ending versus those who weren't or held mixed opinions, what would the make-up be?

Most people on NF who aren't hardcore NH or SS fans don't like this. As the days go by though NF is mostly in the hands of NH/SS, at least the fan club sections where I mostly hang out. Those of us antis still around mostly stay in fanclubs. Most of the neutrals that are still around stay there to either talk about other animes/manga or in order to flick NH's nose.

 

The real funny thing is, if NS magically did change to become canon though. Most of the NH/SS fans who defend Kishimoto and treat him like he is William Shakespeare now, would become his greatest haters. That's the ironic thing now.

Naruto's character has a 180 degree turn. Because of FREAKING HINATA. I mean seriously? He might be a lovesick fool when it comes to Sakura but he was never selfish and possesive and emo.

 

It's pretty known by now that Hinata ruined this series.

They got the retcon's helping them. Which is why that are fast to defend Kishimoto now. Without his words in the interview and the movie, they have nothing else to hang their hats on.

Hmm... It is sad to hear that other Naruto fan websites are falling into the hands of arrogant and harsh loyalists to the NH/SS fandoms. You say that most of the population on NF that doesn't pledge loyalty to any romantic fandom is disgruntled about the ending. Have any of these netural members come out and explained why they believe the ending was bad?

When you say "as the days go by", does that mean NF is losing memberships as a result of the ending and the pairing fandoms reaction? Could the conditions over there have worsened to such an extent that members who aren't even affiliated with any pairings are leaving in droves?

Instead of just blowing us off though, they are literally taking the bait. Hence while they'll probably never admit it, I bet even the biggest of NH fans aren't completely stratified. But even if they are, clinging to Kishi's statements is a backfire as he outright stated NaruSaku was originally planned.

I doubt they will come back to read part 3, I think most people are just not interested about what is being sold. NF doesn't just carter to Naruto fans of course, there are sections for other manga's plus the fanclubs.

I'd say SS get's more kitten then NH at this point though. SS is not respected by most people who read the story just to enjoy the story. Kishimoto's sexist comments didn't help. There have even been a lot of joke signatures and sets, with SS's face being replaced by people who are famous for having domestic violence problems. Which the hardcore SS fans hate of course. "A dark place" is their favorite excuse.

 

NH just repeats all the retcons. Sakura and Naruto never liked each other that way. Naruto always loved Hinata. yada yada. They are usually the first to defend Kishimoto if anyone does. NH even created a fan club that's called "Sakura X Naruto Battle Buddies" or something like that, that is there to talk about "there amazing friendship and friendship only".

 

I've been considering building an anti-Kishimoto fan club multiple times, but always end up doing something else. I may still if I get the chance.

From what you're saying, I can't glean a number or rough estimate for the amount of people that have left. In the original post you made it sound like half or more of the forum's active members were leaving for greener pastures.

Well you've incentivised me to do as best I can to avoid NF as much as possible. The forum sounds like it's in utter chaos at the moment.

Do the NH fans recognise the odd-natured personality that Pierrot had to inject into Naruto for their pairing to succeed? Are the grievances, inconsistencies, and retcons even addressed by any of them? Or are they just spouting the party line handed out to them by the script Pierrot wrote?

So basically, this movie is just ripping up every single chapter in the manga save for maybe 700. Get this, my best friend told me that if someone gets him The Last on Bluray or DVD then he's gonna get an axe and destroy it. I was already praising him for coming up with the idea of ripping 699 and 700 from the final volume, but this takes it to the next level. Plus tbh I would actually do the same thing. If this damn movie somehow makes it to my house I'm gonna toss into the streets and let the cars run over it. Because honestly the stuff with this nowadays is truly disgusting.

I'd say NH is divided in that regard. A clear majority is just happy their pairing happened. A very small minority is happy it happened, but not crazy about how. They don't speak up as much now. A week ago maybe three people spoke up but they got shut up pretty fast. I can't find the post anymore, but basically it amounted to "I wish Kishimoto had done more for us in the Manga." and they were soon attacked for being fake fans, and the normal attacks thrown at us honestly.

 

NS is hated by the canon pairings because we won't submit. Many really expected us to kneel before them, tell them how smart they are, and beg to join. When we didn't they got pissed. I'm generally not liked because I've been complaining about this story for a LONG time, and I often tell people exactly what I think about Kishimoto's work. I'm even a member of the anti-Sakura club because I can't stand how she is shown in canon. I'm very disappointed how that turned out. In there I always make the point that Sakura was developing into a great character until Kishimoto negated her character development and returned her to her part 1 chapter 3 fan girl.

I'm a member of the anti-Hinata club in NF, we talk about that a lot. She really is a strange character, how so much has changed for her. The only other character close to it, is Sasuke.

I never hated a character like this before. I'm suppose to hate Kishi since he is the one who created that character. Not just for pairing reasons but for the cause of the degrade of the entire Naruto franchise.
