I read a couple comments from youtube from one of the 699/700 review videos about two people arguing over Part 3. Based on what was going on, it was a fight between NaruHina and NaruSaku.
The NaruSaku fan (can't really remember their name) was like "As much as I hate Kishi, I want to believe he'll somehow Days of Future Past all of this in Part 3 with Bolt and Sarada (the new NaruSaku)."
The NaruHina fan was like "you mad bro, depressed little turd upset that Kishi made NH canon and spat all over your face."
The NaruSaku Fan was like "Atleast my ship didn't have to retcon the whole manga for it be canon."
The NH fan continued with, "They did not retcon jack kitten every moment was planned by Kishi's amazing story telling."
the NaruSaku Fan responded with "Then tell me where the hell this so called important red scarf is in the manga that your fandom claims to be what connects NaruHina in The Last. How come it wasn't mentioned at all until this movie with an asspull flashback that has no relevence in the manga whatsoever."
The NH fan's last comment was, "Well it was in um...."
The final comment from the NaruSaku Fan was "Exactly you're pairing becoming canon led to this retcon and failure for the manga's ending. That's why I believe Kishi's got one shot at fixing this retcon in Part 3 with Bolt and Sarada. Otherwise the 10 years I spent with this manga would be all for nothing."
Tbh, I don't wanna get my hopes up in saying that Kishi can undo this retcon with Part 3. However I will say that it's a possibility that this could happen, I mean if people that in the IT theory for The Last. This theory should be no exception, and if Kishi does somehow pull a Days of Future Past moment with Part 3 then I'll gladly say that Kishi's got my respect again. The only thing that can be said and done is "I got to see it to believe it."
