honestly if Kishimoto decides to make it a open ending, Kishimoto would be a horrible writer or dare I say a very uncredible, troll. You don't just write out all those hints like 631 , and Yamato's unfinished sentence. Foreshadows and parallels like MinaKushi and Minato and Kushina flashbacks just to make it open ending. I trust in Kishimoto's ability to write. If this is just a joke he wants to do then it won't be a funny one. But I know based on the fact of all the hints and how the story progressed that Naruto and Sakura-Chan will be together.
Nope, in my opinion he's not a good writer and this has nothing to do with pairings.
My open ending possibility is due to he parallels fest, there are ones who support NS and others dont, like Obi/Rin, and Jira/Tsu because they ended in tragedy and on both possibilites they would be better if they moved on, like on Obi/Rin if Obito had other friends he would have got over Rin's death.
As for Kushina, she was paralleled on both Naruto and Sakura, and despite the "find a girl like me" well, Naruto already did find that girl and it was Sakura but she never told him that he should marry her or whatever that's just an advice on woman to no go for weird ones.
My guess on open ending is that i find Kishi on this arc accepting the pressure of fandoms, i dont see how Hinata got more panel time with next to nothing of development when he could have developed other characters, Lee as an example didnt got a single fight.
Other thing that i laughed a lot was when he thought that pakkun or akamaru would be good mascot for the manga, he barely draw them on the series.
