it's seems like they tried (way tooooo hard) to make it seem romantic.

Ok, the only proNaruSaku thing I do not want to see in the Last is any form of engagement. To me it's just he wrong message, Kishi is sending having Sakura being engaged with 19.

 

Well, if the theories turn out to be wrong and the last two chapters are real, then Kishi is having a lot of fun with the messages he's sending- go back to the guy who's called you annoying and almost tries to kill you, end up with the girl who has stalked you for the better half of her life and who's obsessed with you. Getting engaged at 19 would be nothing compared to that. 

 

(frankly speaking, I don't think getting engaged at 19 is that bad in a shinobi world. They're ninjas. They can die anytime. If you found your soulmate, might as well get married and enjoy life because anything can happen.)

The main problem I had with that scene was the Sakura OOC moment. Don't want to specifically mention it. But yeah...

 

Either way the epilogue is a good sign :) So, I'm in anticipation of the move.

 

EDIT: By the way, don't know if this has been mentioned but got this off Kwon91's facebook page:

I just thought it was interesting tbh. Don't think it specifically helps out NS. Could just be an easter egg. Just because we've been looking at the stuff hidden in 700, thought it might be interesting to see how something else was hidden in plain view. Might mean other details are hidden in front of our eyes :)

Wow! I didn't notice that when reading the chapter. Although the crushing weight of utter disappointment bearing down on my senses could have played a role in the oversight. One small token reference to the anime studio is not sufficient evidence to argue that the chapter is fake. Remember how everyone here was deeming the shout-out to One Piece on the final page as a clue to Jump releasing an alternate chapter to combat piracy? The chances of that close-up panel having any more legitimacy are nil.

Whether or not it is simply an easter egg- you've got to admit that some interesting things are discovered in this thread ;) These last two chapters were so horrible that they clouded my senses to pay close attention to the chapters tbh. I've read Ch. 699 once and will prob not do it again b/c it is not worth my time.
