I actually enjoyed Ten-Ten the most out of all female characters in Part 1 fillers (back when I didn't know what fillers were).

Looks like we're all confessing our past/side ships? I shipped NaruHina exclusively all the way up until the forest scene after the Tenchi Bridge encounter, when Naruto found out that Sakura lied about her Kyuubi inflicted wound because she didn't want to hurt Naruto. That moment touched me for some reason. Afterwards, I kind of jumped back and forth between NaruSaku and NaruHina, considering events such as the Pain fight and whatnot. It wasn't even until Naruto met his mother that NaruSaku became my OTP. But even now I'm still kinda fond of NH because honestly....it's not even that bad of a pairing.

I thought that Neji and Tenten were going to be a thing but I guess thats not happening. Though ShikaTem or ShikaIno is still a possibility. Shikamaru is a straight player.

NejiTen felt like the Team Gai equivalent of SasuSaku, given Neji and TenTen's respective personalities, so I never really like it that much.

I know it's a crack shipping but I don't think I could ever truly enjoy NaruIno.

Knowing how close of a friend Ino always was to Sakura, I don't like to imagine her interfering with the development between Sakura and Naruto, even if it is crack. To me, it shames Ino's character as well as her friendship with Sakura, which I've always found to be very precious. It broke my heart when Sakura chose to give up on that friendship because of Sasuke. Granted, she was young and didn't know any better, but still. A friendship like that is hard to come by.

I mean, come on, look at these two:

Oh no! I love NaruIno, but I love InoSaku friendship more!!
I prefer a million times more InoSaku friendship than the NaruSasu one. unpopular opinion .. or not..

I think it was evidenced by fillers and spin-off. I think Kishi doesn't care for all others. Just the love triangle.

Funny, I remember Naruto compliment Ino in the recent event. A small nod I guess.

I already mentioned this in the Pair the spares thread but if I had to arrange everyone with someone it would be like this:

NaruSaku, SasuKarin, ShikaTema, ChoIno, LeeTen. Maybe KibaHina, I was more inclined to NejiHina but that got literally killed. Oh, and Shino is forever alone... being a player.

Why did you previously liked NH, just personal preference?

Also, why did Naruto meeting Kushina made you a complete NS fan? Was it because of the similarities between Kushina and Sakura?

I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up together, especially since Neji's death could bring them closer. Nice Sig by the way Speaking of which, when it comes to Ino it seems like Sai is the most likely one for her. I mean he's just like Sasuke except without the whole dark soul I'm going to kill anybody who looks at me attitude. Hopefully Sakura doesn't fall for Sai because of this.

It used to be really popular to ship a group of pairings back in Part One, like LeeTen/NejiTen, InoChou, ShikaTema/ShikaIno, NejiHina/KibaHina/ShinoHina/SasuHina, NaruSaku/SasuSaku/GaaSaku, etc...

I wonder how many people still think that the side-character pairings are going to be canon at the end? Some of them have potential, like ShikaTema, but a lot of them lack the necessary development. Perhaps in an epilogue?

Dignity. I would rather not stoop to that level over something as petty as pairings, and I don't want to associate myself with a group that thinks that kind of behavior is alright. Just because we don't like the same pairing as they do, it doesn't mean we have to make a**es of ourselves.

While I was reading this post it reminds me what happen between me and another NS fan on DA who constantly bring up stuff to bash the other fandom.

This is what that NS fellow did with my account when I ask her why does she always focus on Bashing Hinata and NH instead of focusing more on her pairing. It didn't help telling her that I really like NS and I believe that NS DA tag needs more art made with love on dedication and lest bashing other fandom.

I forgot about her! I like that girl. She's unique.

I was primarily referring to the most popular Part One side-character ships, but you're right, there are other possibilities in Shippuden.

Well, I started off watching the anime, and unlike in the manga, Hinata was introduced right in the first episode as being in love with Naruto and the only peer who seemed to support him (albeit silently).
Their development during the Chuunin exams (i.e. the blood oath & the talk before the finals) really made it seem like Kishimoto destined them to be together.
And then there was the filler where Naruto saw Hinata showering under the waterfall, and thought to himself that she was beautiful.

Now that I think about it, I really do wonder how many NH fans became one as a result of watching the anime first. Some fans might now know what material is canon and what Studio Pierrot edited/changed, but that might not have changed their already established impressions. It certainly didn't completely change how I felt about NaruHina even after NaruSaku became much more developed.

What's most important in determining a ship for me, however, is the knowledge that your pairing will become canon. Up until Naruto met his mother, there were some hints like the JiraTsu parallel of succeeding in winning over the girl, but such things weren't quite strong enough as evidence. Then I saw the similarities between Kushina and Sakura, especially in the way Kishimoto drew their panels in explicit parallel to one another, and when Kushina told Naruto to find someone like her, it kind of just clicked. There was just no more denying that NaruSaku was destined to happen, and the recent Road to Ninja only served to further reinforce the comparison between NaruSaku and MinaKushi. (Again, why would Kishimoto so shamelessly parallel the two pairings within the movie if he was just going to make a different pairing canon in the end?)

At this point, I'll be damned if we're actually wrong.

Oh, I see it. I had the same problem when I watched the anime, only in my case it was more SS than NH. The anime is so confused that when I started reading the manga felt like it was a totally different story, the characters were the same, but their concepts, their attitudes and relationships were totally different. At first, I was really looking where Pierrot had taken all those fillers (at the time I did not know what that was) then when reality finally hit me was how ...
And I really felt cheated. But I really liked the manga more than ever liked anime.

There is more I can really say in my country, 85% of the population that like NH only accompanying the anime or is not able to differentiate the fillers of the anime with the facts of the manga. And I can not really blame them, because the anime is definitely able to distort the reality of the manga.
