And once again I'm reminded that Hey Arnold's,romance is so much better then Naruto. It makes sense why character have crushes on each other, and the characters are actually fleshed out. None of this "Sasuke always loved Sakura! That's why he tried to kill her, her family, her home, her best friend, and rule the world with an iron fist like a fascist dictator!"

 

What a horrible bit of story telling. Just horrible.

Yeah, I thought the same. I guess people would be sexist to choose one. Like that author saying why does it matter, women are people, period.

From what I've seen he doesn't do it to convey some "message", he does it because it pisses off a portion of his fanbase. The whole thing started at a con when he was talking questions from the audience. He likes toying with his audience.

It's been awhile since I read it, and my memory could be playing tricks on me. But I recall that the question and answer was something like:

 

"Is Hange the girl for Levi? Do they have something between them?"

 

"Who said Hange was a girl? I've never confirmed all the sexes of everyone."

That's right Ladies and Gentleman a story about a 9 year old football headed orphan boy, has more heart in it the a story about an orphaned child solider who is trying to change the world for the better.... in fact in that regard Arnold's good nature does more to improve his neighborhood then Naruto does with all the violence and speeches he gives.

 

May i mention that the creator of hey arnold has a lot more love and passion towards his characters even if he shows favoritism towards helga at least he writes her very well and in a likable matter.

l don't think so, l think it's the opposite. He lets the fans decide Hange's gender for themselves. l think that's really cool.

I'll be honest, I really don't give a damn about Hange in AoT, so it's not like I really was engaged when I read about the gender question the first time. But like I said from memory it was more of him just brushing off  fan and toying with them, that turned into this bigger thing, because that is what bored fans do when you have to wait a month for the next chapter. I could be wrong of course, but frankly I'm not interested enough to check so someone else would have to look it up, from about I don't know a few years ago when it happened. If it makes you feel better to think he is putting some kind of "message" in the story with Hange, meh whatever floats your boat, I just don't remember it that way and frankly don't really care.

 

When it comes to AoT I'm more interested in the story telling about mankind's drive to survive, as well as the nature of good and evil in our very souls. Most of the subplots don't mean much to me unless they go back to the mystery of the titans and that world.

As you pointed out, the irony of Sakura telling others to keep their heads up is almost as rich as playing love guru

My apologizes if my post seem to have an "annoyed" element to them, it's nothing you or anyone said just my own personal problems lol. By "message" I mean that he went out of his way from the start planning to do this with Hange with a purpose in mind, as some people argue. I just don't remember it like that, just that it evolved that way.

 

I don't really care though. If it helps you enjoy the story that's fine. To me it's just meh.

Agreed, she really became a whole fleshed out character. It helps that she had a good voice actress and creator on her side.

Why do you say that? I mean, about this Kenji, .. Is he an otaku or not? Is he true to the "original" story?

 

I mean, why Kenji? What's the reason you would love to see Kenji do a final Naruto reboot spin-off?

 

Not that I know of. Why Kenji. because he was the last pillar with Yahagi that not only supported NS, but has great respect for a universe and its cast that he has no copyright over.

 

He's kishi asistant who draw naruto spinoff rock lee and sasuke.
I don't know if he's an otaku or not, I need to ask him directly or observe him.
At this stage, I doubt it. He will follow the canon route mean nh & ss.

 

Nah, a spin off shouldn't have ties with the original manga just like his two SD version. By all means he can make Naruto the 6th Hokage and marries Sakura and it will not be canon.

Obito. Obito by far. Sasuke never truly cared about the Uchiha, deep down it was his desire to beat Itachi that drove him, he had no care about the honor of the clan, as seen when he renounced then after he learned the truth behind Itachi. He chose pain, Obito did not and had it forced on him. Sasuke had a choice on how to live, Obito had no such choice until it was too late. None of Sasuke's ideals made any sense, Sasuke was a hypocrite from start to finish. His character development was a wreck from start to finish. Obito was truly alone for the majority of his life, Sasuke chose to push that away. Obito was a good villain that had pain that you could actually feel, whereas Sasuke's pain wasn't even his own, it was Itachi's. Sasuke was pretty much a waste of ink, he could have been done a lot better.

I know Luffy agrees with me about Lord Obito

Edit: also Id like to add that Obito's position was more contrarian to Narutos position than Sasuke's was. Obito was truly the opposite of Naruto, their ideals were fundamentally combative. Sasuke was combative against Naruto due to jealousy, other than Sasuke's jealousy, they had no real reason to fight.
