I understand that, I should have clarified: just because she is featured doesn't meant that her role will be any larger than the members of the team around her, especially not in a pairing sense. Just because she has a larger role doesn't mean that she is replacing Sakura as heroine, nor does it mean that her love life (if we can call it that) will be fulfilled via a larger role.

I agree ...I still dun think Sakura's role will be inferior to Hinata


& I think Hinata's design is completely SPs


Kishi knows Hinata is irrelevant so he gave that task to her devotees

Right, but the synopsis is about her little sister being kidnapped. Obviously she'll have more emotional baggage than everyone else to deal with. Perhaps it's not necessarily romantic, but don't be surprised if she gets a lot of prominence in this film.

 
I found myself feeling a little uneasy when she uttered Sasuke's name first. DON'T BLAME ME. It was an automatic reaction.

In all seriousness, I don't understand the whole negativity. It wasn't like Sakura was screaming for Sasuke for ten minutes and added Naruto in the afterthought. Nobody ever get thrilled when she calls out Naruto's name (does anyone remember 10 chapters ago when she was only calling out Naruto when Sasuke was also fighting Kaguya? Or in the land of Iron, when the clashed?). But god forbid the mention of Sasuke! =_=

Still, it's the Sakura bashers on that thread that I can't stand, not you. You're just anxious, ha.

I was all giddy yesterday when 697 was released and Sakura woke up just at the moment that Naruto was in danger and --

I go to the 697 thread and people were bashing her. Why? Because they were either pissed she said Sasuke's name first or because she might steal Naruto's glory.

Nobody 'bashed' Sakura because 'she might steal Naruto's glory'    What does ' stealing Naruto's glory '  even mean?! 

 

All people were saying was that NOBODY, not just Sakura , should interfere in this fight. Can you imagine the reactions if Naruto succeeds in beating Sasuke after Sakura/Kakashi intervene and help him?

" Sasuke is stronger than Naruto! " , " Naruto only beat Sasuke because it was a handicap match " . 

 

Naruto fans don't want to hear such things, they don't want Naruto's victory to be made light of. They simply want Naruto to beat his rival fair and square and prove to the world that he is stronger than Sasuke.

I guess you've completely missed the user who said Sakura was good for nothing and should just seduce Sasuke.

I have to add that many people have completely missed the point of the manga. Sasuke = more physical strength, arrogantly thinks he can conquer the world with it. Naruto = more bonds and emotional strength, the true victor. This was rehashed again two chapters ago.

And now that that strength is going to materialise... People are upset because it doesn't make Naruto look better than Sasuke. Nobody cares about narusaku.

Sorry, the manga has failed you.

(Having said that, it's crystal clear that in shonen, the main hero will hand the final blow. Sakura will be a distraction at best).

I keep wondering... even Hinata eventually got her spotlight (supposedly in the upcoming movie), then why not Sakura? We had so little Sakura-centic episodes... I hate it. Sakura's parents appeared only in RtN and basta. Hate it. SP scenarists suck.

Is age really important? Kakashi has consistently ranked as one of the most beloved and fascinating characters in the manga, and he's in his 30s.

It's not purely about age, but demographics. A show aimed at a younger audience tends to have a younger cast, chick flicks tend to show more scenes with women, etc.

Yes, Kakashi is popular, but he is the exception, not the rule. He's sat out entire arcs too, despite being the sensei to all three main characters.

You can't compare Hinata's dad to Kakashi.

true, but what you're doing is making the huge assumption that hinata will be a main character based off hanabi. sure she may have gotten some spotlight once neji died, but she quickly went back into the background. i feel like the same thing will happen in the movie.

 

the rtn trailer and cover page gave the impression that hinata will have a huge role. it was basically being linked to sasuke, which makes more sense too. both of them were insignificant.

Look Naruto has the the Uzumakigan....and Sasuke looks like a Mexican Homeless person, somebody get him a Sombrero a bottle of Tequila and a mustache and he'll fit the stereotype perfectly.

 

So the little firework has been kidnapped?  That's a bit worrying actually, I hope Kishi doesn't pull a cheap one and use it as a lame plot device to bring Naruto and Hinata together, though I guess it would be better than if they were together at the beginning of the movie.

 

The new guy looks cool, maybe he's a decendant from the other Brother, a forgotten clan guarding the body of the Juubi, which is no longer on the same dimension (It did get sealed away in another dimension right?) and now without it the Moon is falling and he needs the power of the Mooneyes to save it...or maybe he's a Wizard from the Moon, and wants to go back home.

I have a theory but don't we all! No worries mine is positive ! Haha!!

So I've been wondering, now that we know Hanabi has been kidnapped, what are the chances that she was placed in a team under Naruto? I mean he's the hero of the village now and a family as prominent as the Hyuugas wouldn't object to him teaching their rising clan leader. So maybe we'll get a parallel with Minatos team in where, like him, Naruto gets separated from the genin and Hanabi gets taken.

This would set up the scarf ....hear me out... if it's Hanabi's (^_^ I'm hoping she's like Mikasa from AoT). Maybe that was found at the site of kidnapping and the 'mystery woman' IS in fact Hinata that made said scarf for her little sister. Alternate theory it was given by their mother.

Hence we have a CD cover where Naruto has the sad duty of informing Hinata that he failed his team and her little sister, the hope of their clan, is lost. Que background music about bonds of friendship or love in a familial sense. ^_^
Maybe this will be the catalyst that shapes Hinatas character and directs her to a path that's her own instead of being 'that' type of girl Naruto-kunning the day away.

Now as for Naruto donning the red scarf...I believe it is within Narutos character to put on Hinabi's scarf vowing to save her.

Honestly the first love one has is for family right? So that could be the ultimate troll for this side story involving the Hyuuga clan.

So just my off the wall theory. It could set up Naruhina but in all likelihood I think Naruto may finally use his ultimate technique, Talk-no-jutsu, on Hinata to stop her from chasing him and start caring more about herself and her clan!

This is an uber effective way of eliminating her from the pairing contention while giving her fans a last hurrah. If she is shown to make a resolve that SHE no longer wants to pursue Naruto and aims to be a greater woman standing on her own for her clan (too good to be true I know) then her fans must accept that it is her decision.

I think though throughout the movie they will toy with all ships before any resolution...if there is in fact meant to be one.
I do secretly hope I see a jealous Sakura though that would be delicious ^.^

Oh no, I did not miss any posts. I read his posts and I responded to his posts too. I read your posts too and I see that you continue to make generalizing statements. 

 

"Nobody cares about NaruSaku" - I assure you I care as much as you or anyone else about NaruSaku.  Ever since the very beginning of this story, Naruto has always wanted to beat Sasuke. I want to see that happen that is all.  Just because I don't want Sakura or anyone to interfere in this fight does not make me any less of a NaruSaku supporter.

Perhaps you have a point. But then again, there have been a lot of other things that suggest that this is one fight that nobody can influence. Naruto's words to Sakura on the hospital roof, Sakura's thoughts in the Kage arc, Itachi's words, The whole Destiny thing, Hagoromo's words etc.

People here are more uncomfortable with the idea that Naruto's fight against Sasuke is won by any other means than brute force, even if it means narusaku may be canon.

It's not a huge assumption. Hinata is billed as a main character on the official website; but unlike Sai/ Shikamaru/ Sakura, she also has a personal connection to the matter.

Hanabi is not Neji. Neji actually has ties with Naruto, his team, and so forth. Hanabi literally has no relevance outside of Hinata.

It was the Tsukiyomi!Hinata that had a lot of promotion in the RtN trailer (not the poster or the official characters list - that was Sakura, front and center).

"Nobody" here refers to the group of Sakura-bashers who have assimilated in the Latest Releases threads. I've said it twice in my original post that you quoted: I am specifically talking about the people bashing Sakura.

That's great, again this was talking about the Sakura bashers and people who've missed Naruto's speech about how his strength comes from his friends and his bonds. Suddenly Naruto's closest bond comes to help him and-- oh no, that's unacceptable! =|
