I'm not counting the hug in 450 because that was only from Sakura's side. I refer to who is Naruto more likely to end up hugging with the same amount of love that he showed while doing so with his mother. Apart from Sasuke of course. That brokeback love.
Dat bro-love.
I can't imagine Naruto hugging Hinata like that. Their dynamic is so awkward and stiff... At the most, I could see Naruto giving her the equivalent of a Christian side-hug, and that still feels like a pretty uncomfortable situation. Maybe that's my bias talking... I just find his chemistry with Sakura to be a lot more natural than his chemistry with Hinata.

"I love you Naruto, but i might still love Sasuke"
Anyway look at baguttes pictures of Dragon Quest above to see what i'm talking about.
@Bageutte Awesome post dude
I haven't read Dragon Quest but I'm pretty sure that Hyu-something (proto-Sasuke) wasn't actually a bad guy.
Still, I also hope that she can finally move on from Sasuke, romantic wise. I'm not sure if in Dragon Quest proto-Sakura's feelings for proto-Sasuke brought down her character, but it's pretty clear in the Naruto manga that Sakura's feelings for Sasuke do so.

Due to the sheer amount of images used throughout the debate, I'm going to have to split it up into four consecutive posts. May the mods have mercy on my soul.
Oh, I should probably cite everybody whose work I plagiarized for my response
-Sojobo: Dragon Quest/Naruto comparison (sorry I didn't ask beforehand)
-Slextrem : What makes Sakura tick; Hinata's Pain confession; Kurama's role in 615; EVERY SINGLE NS IMAGE;
-Inferno180: What does he think Naruto is doing about Sasuke this whole time?
-I probably forgot a few people.
Honestly, the only substantial content I contributed to my own responses are the parts regarding parallels.
Anyways...
So you won I take it? If they did not reply that's a good sign (unless they are trying to prep another defense
I see you used what I said about Naruto trying to change and get Sasuke back, one major flaw I saw in his argument was how the he claimed the effort between Naruto and Sakura was always a failure and how it advocated nothing, basically he said anything Naruto did with Sakura or Sakura did with him, it would result in no change and when he said it could take all the efforts and actions and caring you want but you could end by never getting the attention and affection of someone else
When I saw that, I saw the weakest part of his argument was basically what he advocated as a failure between Naruto and Sakura, was exactly what Naruto has been trying to do this whole time with Sasuke, He wants Sasuke to have a future but also trying to redeem him, get him on a better path, and acknowledge him. Basically from what I saw, that guy just tried to argue against the main plot which already broke the entire argument as I saw it.
But you won for one reason alone, you had a lot of evidence and countered so much of it, and spoke honestly about your views and opinions with correlation on the other and provided evidence to not only counter, but also debunk, and insight considerable thought into the other side.

Lol, it's not as difficult as you think. Too many people whom I debate end up falling back on statements such as, "That doesn't prove anything at all," or "I wasn't even debating you seriously,"(*cough*ExoticLouhi*cough*), or "There's no point in debating with someone like you, because I know the truth,"(*cough*EliteRamenNinja*cough*), or simply avoid my posts altogether(*cough*MangekyoMuslim*cough*).

I agree, I feel like if Sakura did not get over Sasuke and it played out like Dragon Quest than something would reallly be missing in Sakura's development. I don't think Naruto would accept that either. There were two reasons he ignored her first confession. One was obviously her plot against Sasuke, but the other was that she lied about not having feelings for Sasuke.

No problem, I mean if someone tries to argue something in a story but manages to try and debunk or disprove the main plot that's not going to look good for the rest of it. If they were going to argue Naruto *not* trying saving Sasuke or gaining acknowledgement, its like the whole story does not exist. Its like frodo is not trying to destroy a ring and throw it in Mt. Doom, rather he is just running away from the shire with Sam cause he is bored and wants to try and get into life threatening situations on purpose.
I just wonder if this person will try a rebuttal?
But yeah you did an excellent job, one of the best counter arguments, not just because this was a pairing debate either. This was one time I enjoyed browsing NF.
I'm just glad it remained civil for the duration, least it did not become a flame war so it was kept cool

Think about it, the majority of the fandom was actually expecting Sakura to be the one healing his injured shoulder, but then it turns out it wasn't her. Whether people mocked Sakura or just were disappointed the thing that remains clear is that nearly everyone noticed how she was explicitly missing. I think Kishi knew that the shoulder fixing would be a nice moment to include Sakura in the picture but chose to deceive the reader in order to make them wonder about her apparent absence.
I don't think Kishi is that petty to put Hinata there just to purposely bring Sakura's character down. I don't think Kishi is the type to purposely mock the characters he has created, and the goes extra espcial with Sakura considering that previous evidence suggests that he's very fond of her.
If Hinata was truly meant as the love interest I think there would be plenty of other way to make her stand out other than making her fix Naruto's shoulder, that's particularly obvious considering that the battle is not over so there's room for plenty of moments. That's why I think Kishi made Hinata the one to fix him in part to make people wonder where on earth is Sakura.
Another reason is that Hinata's contribution to the attack meant that the combo of Naruto/Hinata/Lee (the ones more touched by Neji's death) is the one responsible for the counter attack that cause Obito and Madara to finally be pushed back for the first time.
In conclusion, Kishi trick readers into thinking is NH and then boom, back to NS.

Or maybe Kishi was deliberately trying to trick us through themes and years of development to make us think that Naruto is in love with Sakura?
Then boom, back to NH.
Off topic: Apparently, NaruIno fans didn't take the Vol.64 cover too well either.

Eh don't worry, one common theme in long running mangas is how some plot elements are developed and implied but get pushed back into the shadows and come out into the light as the story goes on, generally that activity with them varies. One piece has one element like this, the void century, we know about it and its mentioned and described many times but it gets pushed back most of the time and a bit more is revealed later on. NaruSaku is like this, it comes forward but then goes away for a little (I'm referring to the mutual events and growth on both Naruto and Sakura, the important ones). Its most likely in the state right now due to the war arc. It will come forward when the time is right, I feel that it will come up again if there is a break in the action kinda like how I said the ten tails can coccoon and then madara just trolls everyone and causes a tactical retreat for the ninja alliance, they can't do anything much against madara who can just spam meteors and call a sussano army. They would need time for forming a counter attack.

I love how Ino is posing for the camera while Neji's corpse is floating and on fire in the background.

Just because they are similar doesn't mean that they will have the same end! so there is nothing to worry about!

Sakura Hugged Naruto two times, but Naruto doesn't hugged her back in any of these times, I hope the next time that Sakura hug Naruto, something like that happens:

At least she have a better personality than Hinata
On a personnal note , i was shipping NaruTen ( after NaruSaku of course ) in part 1. Dont really know why , but Tenten was one of my favorite character , well at least on the females. But since she didin't really had pannel time since the chunnin exam , i forgot about this weird pairing

Two?
That NaruIno.
They're both loud, cocky and blond. What's not to love? Too bad they don't have more interactions. It would've been so funny to see Sakura and Ino shift their love rivalry from Sasuke to Naruto. But now instead of being overly attached they try to win his affection while pretending they don't actually care. The comedy potential would've been limitless.

Knowing how close of a friend Ino always was to Sakura, I don't like to imagine her interfering with the development between Sakura and Naruto, even if it is crack. To me, it shames Ino's character as well as her friendship with Sakura, which I've always found to be very precious. It broke my heart when Sakura chose to give up on that friendship because of Sasuke. Granted, she was young and didn't know any better, but still. A friendship like that is hard to come by.
I mean, come on, look at these two:
I guess I'm more of an InoSaku friendship supporter.

I actually enjoyed Ten-Ten the most out of all female characters in Part 1 fillers (back when I didn't know what fillers were).
Looks like we're all confessing our past/side ships? I shipped NaruHina exclusively all the way up until the forest scene after the Tenchi Bridge encounter, when Naruto found out that Sakura lied about her Kyuubi inflicted wound because she didn't want to hurt Naruto. That moment touched me for some reason. Afterwards, I kind of jumped back and forth between NaruSaku and NaruHina, considering events such as the Pain fight and whatnot. It wasn't even until Naruto met his mother that NaruSaku became my OTP. But even now I'm still kinda fond of NH because honestly....it's not even that bad of a pairing.

YES!!! the possibility of interactions between them are almost endless! It would be so fun! .... Sometimes I wonder if my love for NaruIno came from the fact that Ino is very similar to Sakura!? .. idk .. I really love these types of pairings!
