sry if i find it hard to believe that hinata will be a main character prior to her incredible lack relevancy.

I agree. We never saw much of what she was capable of in the manga. The only tidbit of information which we have about her is that she was stronger than her older sister at the age of 5. There hasn't been any updates as to her status in the clan and whether or not she's still intended to become the heiress.


There's something off about this entire set-up. Hanabi has been captured by an unknown party that has the tools, cunning, and strength necessary to get around the horde of clan members living at their complex, yet there's just a small contingent of men and women sent to retrieve her. The Hyuga clan should be up in arms about the danger that this breach in their security could pose to their biological heritages and the secrets of their clan.

Isn't Hiashi scared out of his wits about what might happen to his daughter? Why is he entrusting the safety of his child to Hinata instead of venturing out himself to save her? From a pragmatist's viewpoint, it doesn't make sense.

I was all giddy yesterday when 697 was released and Sakura woke up just at the moment that Naruto was in danger and --

I go to the 697 thread and people were bashing her. Why? Because they were either pissed she said Sasuke's name first or because she might steal Naruto's glory.

The movie will probably come up with an excuse. Like, perhaps Hiashi is bedridden or something. It doesn't really matter per se, nobody wants to watch a Naruto movie with a main cast over the age of 20.

I think most of them were out on a mission if I recall correctly. Anyway, until reason is out, well, why not. We need a way to have Hinata out there.

But the Hinata and Naruto dynamic has been impressed upon us for so long. By this point, I'm more interested to see Hiashi's interactions with Naruto. What is his opinion of the 9 tails jinchuuriki? Did he share in the animosity that the people once held for him? Has the defeat of his clan's jutsu style and techniques by this outsider left a subconscious imprint of contempt in his mind? What is his opinion of his daughter being infatuated with the clanless saviour of the world? I think those questions are a lot more compelling than a another attempt at heightening the tension between pairing fandoms.

Is age really important? Kakashi has consistently ranked as one of the most beloved and fascinating characters in the manga, and he's in his 30s.

All of the latest releases threads are like that. I'm not sure if it's trolling or genuine ignorance; either way, the hate they are propagating is disgusting.

It doesn't matter to those Sakura-bashers if narusaku happens or not; Naruto looking manly is more important.

I found myself feeling a little uneasy when she uttered Sasuke's name first. DON'T BLAME ME. It was an automatic reaction.

First of all, they hyped a Tsukiyomi!Hinata that time. And despite her minor role, it was her alter self (and Sasuke) who was turning heads.
Hinata's little sister has been kidnapped, it guarantees her a big role in the movie.

I understand that, I should have clarified: just because she is featured doesn't meant that her role will be any larger than the members of the team around her, especially not in a pairing sense. Just because she has a larger role doesn't mean that she is replacing Sakura as heroine, nor does it mean that her love life (if we can call it that) will be fulfilled via a larger role.

It is the sh*ttiest way. We had seen "Will of Fire": kidnapping, special nature conditions, a rescue party & some random bad guy with a dark past connected to Konoha... bleh.
