I see... I don't really know under what guidelines Pixiv works, but this is just plain out stupid from the website! So much to artistic freedom... That ending is simply to supposed to give the people who were unsatisfied with Ch.699/Ch.700 a satisfied ending

Hopefully, she can find another Japanese website that tolerates her alternative ending.

Just understand that my reply is merely a supposition based on my own suspicions. There's no official word yet as to why LadyGT's work was taken down.

We'll just have to wait for LadyGt to give us an explanation as to why it was pulled down.

it actually COULD be that it was taken down for looking to much like Kishi's work. that's one of the very few reasons that a doujinshi can actually cause trouble in japan.

What a despicable and petty reason to remove it. So just because her work is that stylistically consistent to Kishi's own manga, they're afraid it could mislead people? People are not so gullible that they would feel compelled to substitute an imitation for the "canon series" unless they purposefully choose to do so.

Ahwww - Nardo-khoon has been reduced to such a stupid piece of meat ... thinking Hinata "choose" a man who was forcefully kidnapping her ... it gets more and more stupid ...  :zaru:

"We live in a world that is so quick to convince us to ignore our feelings. Feeling stressed? Get a massage. Feeling angry? Go to the bar with your friends and blow off steam. Feeling lonely? Meet someone in cyberspace and have a conversation on the computer. Depressed? Take a pill. Anxiety? Take 2 pills. Feeling happy? Well, by George, don’t talk about that because no one likes a bragger. Same with being sad, no one likes a Debbie Downer. But, heaven FORBID, that you actually TALK about your feelings and process them in a healthy way."

It doesn't only look to much like kishi's work...

it also surpasses the ending of the original story :hehehe:

Kishimoto RTN
"Since this time I wanted to write Naruto properly as a protagonist, and delve deeply into his feelings, I fussed a lot over the ramen shop scene between Naruto and Iruka at the beginning. I came up with all the storyboards myself, but since for some reason the images were different, I had all of them fixed for me. It was pretty selfish of me... but of course, since the things I'm satisfied with are also present in the scenes I was able to do"

Kishimoto The Last.
"I was able to recreate new sketches for all our heroes entering adulthood. Because the script does not please me, I had the writers rewrite the story several times, and I am sure that to them I looked like a tyrant. The film will be spectacular, so please, check it out. "

and i'm supposed to believe the last is canon, lol. sorry kishimoney junko sama as much as i respect your professionalism in promoting this film as canon material i can't listen to that bullsh**.

People are not so gullible that they would feel compelled to substitute an imitation for the "canon series" unless they purposefully choose to do so.

Mind you, the Copyright really should only apply if she's making MONEY for it, which it is legal to sell and make money off doujin's twice a year at conventions in japan. She wasn't making any money off of it. It was free.

There is one case of a doujin writer getting into trouble because his work looked to much like the artists that I can cite...He won his case I believe but pulled the work and paid restitution to the original mangaka's estate.

So the only two points of contention I can see for it being pulled would it looking to much like Kishi's work, or because she's not from japan/does not speak japanese.

Both are terrible reasons. :zaru:

Yes if I find out that her NS doujin was taken off pixiv against her will then it's time to start a kittening war. That's going too far...lots of artists have Kishimoto's style (Konoha Highschool anyone?) and contradict "canon events" (all the kittening yaoi and crack pairings?)
Seriously...banning a fanwork because it features a certain couple and has a different interpretation of the manga? SOMETHING'S kittening WRONG GUYS!!

it's somewhat funny that ladygt is considered to be such a threat that her art is deleted. (this is the internet plz-.- as if deleting it on pixiv would delete that artwork on the net, hah!) iirc her other manga art was noticed by the very author of the manga himself on twitter! what an honor :excited:

But she's not seeking to monetise the artwork. Whatever legal ramifications might arise from someone who using the same universe and characters behind the backs of the author and publishers to garner profit, they don't apply to LadyGT.

What does her nationality have to do with anything? Do these people believe that LadyGT should be incapable of drawing professionally like Kishi? There's no logic to that concept.

Please remember: This is a movie being heavily marketed to a specific market. It's no surprise that they're targeting NS in the days leading up to the big reveal. They don't want anything to compete with their message.

Remember, things like twitter messages, fake leaked spoilers and targeting of divergent fan art for copyright infringement is all part of the arsenal of a modern marketing department. It happens in the US quite frequently.

After the movie comes out, the focus will move on to other things and they will no longer be policing the Naruto universe as much.

One thing I think, though, with all the heavy marketing they have to have something more in mind than just a three-part series. Maybe a full on anime series. Or the launch of a new manga series under a different hand. Anyway, they're not going to build up this much momentum just to spin it all out on the movie. There have to be other projects in the works.

Right, I'm agreeing with you, but these are the only two reasons I could give you. I can't say with certainty WHAT the reason was, but I lean towards it looking to similar to his work.

I can't read what Pixiv's terms and conditions are, so its possible she might have violated it unknowingly because of the language barrier. hence why her nationality/language would matter.

From what I understand, it doesn't matter whether money or seeking payment is involved or not. Just the mere creation of a work using a certain percentage of the named characters, places and development of the original work is enough to warrant copyright infringement.

I love my fanfics, but I am under no illusions that what I write isn't infringing on Naruto's copyright, even if it's just a little. Now, they can't remove it without a court order, and I could easily change the names and characters to be something different (as it is it's almost entirely different anyway) and preserve it online. But riffing off of the original is copyright infringement, no matter how innocent the intentions are.

The copyright holders can request her to take her work down, and she has to comply. Or face some serious penalties. And requests like these are becoming more and more commonplace.

Hiro Mashima - creator of Rave and Fairy Tail

Now I think about it, it feels like he's a lazy one. I mean no association with anime (while Hiro and Kubo do), side stories by their own hands, etc. Oh well, late realizations I guess.

Uh can somebody tell me why a [Apparently] modified version of Road to Ninja is being released in Japan next January? :wot:

I also read at some forum that a poster depicting Naruto and Sakura sitting under a cherry-blossom tree's going to be released soon. But, err, why? :hm:
