No matter how people try to defend Sakura, there's no excuse for her behavior. None! Naruto and Sasuke just defeated a literal God and Sakura's begging... begging Sasuke and confessing to him with tears. Pathetic, and if you can't see that then you were never fans of the character. All you care about is romance. If you ask me, this is the first time I've felt the bashing she's receiving is justified. If only Kishi could get a little as well.

 ... I have no true idea what to think of this chapter pairing-wise. I've never been more confused about the direction of it before and that's saying something with the history of this series. Kakashi said "used to love" in 675 yet in this chapter we have two different translations of present and past tense and one of the translators said it was present ... what am I supposed to believe?

 

But, if it really was in present tense and Sakura did confess to Sasuke:

 

Sakura has absolutely no understanding of real love. She's still hung up on that 12-year old image she created without any good reason to love Sasuke (something Sasuke said himself ironically). She's trapped in her low self-esteem  and even feels like it's all her fault for how Sasuke is, deprecating herself degradingly. It's so pitiful I feel bad for her. It's like Sakura doesn't think she deserves happy love because of everything she's used to with Sasuke and that's why she keeps his thing for him going. It's literally all the girl knows. That's not anger-inducing ... that's tragic.

 

But it's still appalling to my eyes to see Sakura beg and cry to Sasuke with a love confession when I truly believed she was more evolved than this. When Sakura had that pissed off expression, I got excited and expected her to finally tell off Sasuke but all I got was more of the same and then some. Worse actually, because it gives vague undertones of P1 Sakura and it's just so hard to watch as her fan.

 

I thought I'd be angry with Sakura, but the truth is I'm not. I'm angry at Kishimoto for making her character development regress a bit and I feel incredibly sorry for Sakura at the same time. She is better than this and she can be, but Kishimoto is taking way too long to resolve it. Sakura's feelings for Sasuke have always been unrealistic, but this takes the cake.

 

It's funny because, in a way, this chapter reminds of uncomfortably extreme version of what I originally thought before 675. Sakura does still love Sasuke and for whatever reason refuses to see her true feelings for Naruto. There is no doubt she has them, but the girl is so freakin' confused and trapped in learned helplessness through Sasuke that she can't see what is really love when it's right in front of her.

 

However, even I never expected Sakura to be like this. I never thought she would make such an emotional display so openly after everything's that happened. Sure, Sakura is guilty, sad, ashamed of her feelings but to plead to him so spinelessly and cling on desperately to the appeal to any shred of the old Sasuke, it's just ... wow. This is the guy who hasn't done a decent thing for her in four years and she would still lower herself in front of everyone like nothing's changed.

 

I said it before and I truly mean it. I would be okay if Sakura still loved Sasuke and didn't fall for Naruto, but I can't handle her chasing after Sasuke again. At the very least, whether she still feels those things or not, she needs to grow up and realize she deserves better. That she needs to try to move on not because Sasuke's not interested, but because she wants to. And if she truly didn't love Naruto, I would simply be happy she had esteem to make this choice and stay single. She doesn't need to love Naruto. She just needs to like herself.

 

Sakura did regress definitely, but I still don't think it's not to the extent of Part 1. Sakura's goal is still Team 7 being together again, not being with him romantically and she does see how horrible Sasuke has become. That's still better than how she used to be, though at the same time her development took two steps backwards.

 

There is only one major thing that makes me mad. And no, it's not that Sakura confessed her love for Sasuke in front of Naruto. She was clearly desperate. It was the fact that Sakura focuses on her feelings for Sasuke. She vents how much pain he causes her, how much she cares but gives no input on how Kakashi and Naruto feel for him and go through. But what makes it really bad is that Sakura already did this. In Part 1 she threw all her cards down and that didn't even stop Sasuke then. Where, in her miserable mind with the way Sasuke is now, did she think that would work? It's redundant and makes it look like Sakura learned nothing.

 

I'm so disappointed in this chapter. I would've handled Sakura's speech much better if she talked about what they all suffered and went through for Sasuke yet still cared, not just her. It made Sakura look selfish and she's supposed to be more about T7 at this point, not Sasuke. I honestly don't know what the hell Kishi was smoking when he wrote this.

 

As pairing-wise ... SasuSaku is definitely dead as far as canon, no questions asked on my front. This last emotional outburst and callback to the SS confession combined with all the emphasis on her suffering practically cements that. And NaruSaku will still be canon, though I'm very sad to say it will not be satisfactory or realistic.

& the major development for her will be how she fights with her weakness


It means ...a point may comr when Sasuke will think she can't attack him......but she will attack him to save Naruto

I couldn't care less what you think about Sakura. I was referring to people who think NS as dead as the "not level-headed ones"

 

It does actually, all the progression Kishi was working towards takes a huge step backward because he wants to keep NS as a surprise (an obvious surprise that at this point is just as null as SS but whatever)

 

I feel like insulting a fictional character over the  internet because I believe she was done poorly as a character than I dare you to try and stop me.

Sakura has other priorities, than just Sasuke and is not willing to drop everything just for him. She will always remain loyal to her village, her friends, and to Naruto. Seeing as, even after she learned Sasuke wanted to be Hokage, she's supporting Naruto instead. The only only thing you can argue that got reduced, was NS development and a part of Sakura's seeing as it was never shown, she moved on from Sasuke, we just interpreted it that way from small hints. It seems as far as Kishi is concerned, Sakura's love life has been on pause for the last few years and will be getting address within the future chapters.

 

Finally, there's a no bashing rule on this site, so I don't need to stop you. Like I said, I don't care if you don't like Sakura, but the way you said things sounded like an insult to people who did (and her.), which I did not like.

No clearly the implication was that anyone who recognized that NS was still endgame are the level headed ones

 

She most certainly did not move on from Sasuke....she did the exact same thing she did in part 1 which was...pathetic

If she admits that her "Love" for Sasuke was a false love and that it was never really true I'd be Ecstatic. Of course this is the least likely thing to happen since my guess is he'll either not address it at all or just have Sakura say that she loved Sasuke but now she loves Naruto. I don't believe in the "Love" that she has for Sasuke. I don't believe that spending months away from someone evolves from infatuation into love. Not to mention that there is no reason for her to have had anything more than a crush for him. But that's just my opinion, to each his own.

Who says that was good? In the name of God it wasn't right! But can't she make mistakes? Don't you make mistakes? Don't people ever make misatkes? Is everyone perfect and never make any mistakes? She did a mistake...not a crime. Ofcourse that mistake is horrible on her part. Ofcourse she need not do that. Ofcourse she looked pathetic being the queen but is it that she can't bounce back? Is it that she has never shown any potential to be the best and the most powerful female character in her series? Is it just her? Hell! Its Naruto as well when things drop down to Sasuke. If anything....blame Kishi for making her regress. Being a bit more practical....tell me which normal girl would still be hung up on Sasuke after all he did to her? No one, right? So what does it conclude? The one who controls the puppets/show is playing with the puppets and not the puppets themselves. It is simply not in character for P2 Sakura but the fact that she has been made to do it.....shows that its the puppeteer and not the puppet herself!

About the fan thing though....I can call you out on this one but that literally makes me no better than you. I take solace in the fact that I know that I am a Sakura fan and your ideologies on this one being different than mine. Think of me as whatever you want to....I simply don't care for I know who I am!

They were isolated for hundreds of chapters and somehow her affections for him intensified into love? I'm srry u r entitled to your own opinion but I fail to see how Sakura could fall in love with this guy. They never even went on a single date or even had a romantic moment together.

I always had a bad feeling ever since there was no wake-up scene after Naruto almost died Kishimoto wouldn't give NaruSaku a realistic canon ending .... and unfortunately this last chapter confirmed that. This man does not know how to write romance at all or female characters for that matter.

 

I know NaruSaku will be canon, but there is no way it will be realistic if Sakura could still say that to Sasuke. Naruto was already insecure of her reciprocating his feelings before and because of this he will most definitely not believe she loves him or accept her feelings.  It won't be realistic and Sakura suddenly realizing now she doesn't love Sasuke after so long will feel rushed. Naruto will confess simply for the sake of confessing and then just walk away after, expecting nothing. Mark my words.

 

If there is to be a pairing, I honestly hope NS will be canon in the movie for a slightly better pairing resolution. Which is sad, because before this chapter I was strongly against that for "bad writing".
