While Karin plotting that would be brilliant and I would love to see it, I have significant doubts and a reinforced belief in Kishi's inability to write female characters.

Pretend Naruto into a girl for a moment and look at all she would have ben through and how she overcame it. Now look at the other female characters in the series and consider how poorly constructed and how ignored they have been they are compaired to Naruto or Bee or Sasuke or...pretty much any other male who had the limelight for a decent amount of time.

He sucks at it. Badly.

To add, the Naruto fanbase is pretty sexist in and of itself but that is a topic for another day...

 

I agree. One of the few possible exceptions to this flaw in Kishi's writing is Temari IMO. She's a strong-willed individual with no inherent vices to her character. She speaks what is on her mind and she isn't relegated to any specific role. If a male character like Shikamaru makes a suggestive comment to her then she properly retorts against it which tends to quiet them. Also she is one of the most powerful Futon users in the manga so that should count for something, I suppose.

Yeah everyone would know that Sasuke was in Konoha if they saw Karin. Though is that the reason she's not there?

Hm. Good point. Huh. Nah. I thought of something but I should wait until next chapter. Well I wonder what's the effect if Karin leans on Sasuke is what I thought earlier. Some suggested the movie moment could happen but who knows.

But thats somehow not really possible. He cant be dead serious about her beeing his girlfriend and at the same time know that she not right now. I think hes serious about meaning that hes doenst know whats really going on between them right now but the sentence he said cant be really taken serious, because if we take his words literally they mean that shes his girlfriend right now, but she isnt.

I think maybe you're reading it too literally, and not giving the "more or less" part enough weight.

The question was, is Sakura his girlfriend. Naruto's answer tells us that as far as his feelings are concerned, and based on where things were left after her confession, he's thinking she might be. Sort of.

And that's the thing. At this point, Sakura is as much his girlfriend as she isn't, and that's what Naruto was saying -- "more or less."

Definitely not. Fans have to remember that Sakura is not the same Sakura she was in Part 1. She's not that fangirl who would ruin her friendship with her best friend so she could "win over Sasuke" like he's a male trophy. Yes, Sakura still loves Sasuke. But she is smart enough to know that Sasuke is not worth fighting over anymore, especially considering everything he's done. Of course she'll forgive him or she may have already forgiven him, but that doesn't mean she will be a fangirl again. Some people need to let go of their first impressions, this is a long series loaded with character development.

 

Sakura's matured for the most part, I don't see her resorting to petty arguments over Sasuke of all people. A romantic rival like Karin is the least of her concerns right now, I think. Sakura's still trying to define and sort out her feelings for Naruto and Sasuke. That comes first in her personal life.

I'm not sure, to be honest. Sure I can see the chance of the Ten Tails being taken down on this volume, but there are other things which we might be redirected to, like the Kakashi/Obito fight or even the kages.

Really depends, i heard there was still another form for the Juubi, if that is true then I think the battle will continue past.

 

If not then maybe it might end, but there is still Madara and Obito.

Well, we're talking about the quality of the chapter in terms of artistic nature. As for power ups, of course, I'm also expecting more. After all, her seal opens up the door for even more potential.

Its very hard to predict what will happen in the upcoming chapters. Literally anything could happen! Well not anything, but alot.
Is there more for Sakura?
Does it flip back to Obito and Kakashi?
Where's Oro?
More focus on the hokages?
More NS moments? <---- This one I want most!

I don't blame you. I'm in the exact same situation. I know we have others to cover, but I have never see the theme (Team 7 in this case) going on for two volumes. Not that I would complain but the problem is that it feels like an easy win once Juubi is out of the way when you think about it. I still don't know...

Quite frankly, I like that moment, even though in real life, it's the most hardest acceptance in life. But again, Kishi is not going for Evangelion ending on us....right???

Oh, I'm pretty sure that he will go all out when it comes to his main characters, so I'm confident in him being this impressive when he shows Sakura in the future.

 

Anyway, we have half of the volume with this chapter, so there is much than can be done with the other half. For now, I'll sit back and see how Kishi handles this. Our ship is sailing well so far.

Yeah, but so do we have Hashirama, along with all other Hokages which I think they have the same effect of unlimited chakra (correct me). I think the direction will be determined if we see Obito and Kakashi getting into the mix because no doubt, Obito will be done with if he shows up now. Perhaps he will be upset or convinced once he sees Juubi going down. So yeah, this is hard to determine the direction because again, I have not yet see a theme last longer than one volume, but maybe this is it here. Maybe. I got no real clue. 5 chapters left to determine the direction.
