Yeah, I didn't say "they are surely still close as they used to be in the manga", I know they totally disregarded their friendship in the last and chapter 700...and not only Naruto and Sakura's bond, and that's part of why this ending is so bad. (Plus you can see how bad their bond has become in "Shikamaru Hiden"
I personally don't really consider the LAst (and chapter 700-699) as a canon thing, I KNOW it is canon, but for me, I prefer just...ignore it...for me, it's just too crappy to be considered as part of the manga I loved, but once again, I know it is canon, I won't say "Yeah Kishi didn't wriiiite it, he just did the design, he did the same thing with RTN"...He said it was supposed to be chapter 699.5, then it is 'canon'
Plus when I say 'canon'(MY canon) , I generally refer to the time Naruto and Sakura (and all the other characters) were still themselves, and this what I think Junko and the other VA were talking about: the characters they voiced for years and years.
Yeah I understand, and I agree. I wouldn't have spoken about the lack of evidence supporting Naruto and Sakura's platonic life partnership if there was an actual indication of it. Which there wasn't. I just see characterization butchered beyond repair. They say that Naruto and Sakura are each other's most important person even if they are not a couple yet why don't I see that? They are not being emotionally supportive of each other and Sakura is showing her part I attitude to Naruto again which negates all that development.
