You are forgetting that Naruto is with her when they are "flashed". I'm talking about the possibility of the genjutsu starting there.

Just a theory: maybe they weren't sent in another world just like RTN. Since we don't know Toneri's powers, maybe he can control minds,characters or something like that, just like Catwho said, he gives to Hinata everything(like becoming more confident) and maybe with that flash, Naruto will have some feelings for her, but not real one. With all this genjutsu he will believe that he loves her....but still my theory is inconsistent, since WHY would Toneri want Naruto to love her....agghh Idk...OR maybe he'll cast Hinata on a genjutsu with that  green light he used on her when they captured her         don't mind me .... I don't know what I'm saying !

I know that you guys hate listening stuff from Sawyer7mage, but I feel compelled to quote this one statement that he made for the new episode review b/c this seriously explains why many people like Hinata.

So the only thing I can see in this statement from an absolute objective standpoint is that he's being bias, bias, bias. True Hinata is kind. And by that reasoning people think that she deserved Naruto, and NaruHina is better. Not once did he mention Naruto's feelings. Why did he deserve to get Hinata? Why not Sakura? Naruto is not only being kind to Sakura; he's willing to sacrifice his happiness for her.

Sakura is also kind, but also able to speak up her mind, but to people she'll always be the one who treats Naruto like kitten.

And Hinata did nothing to help him. Sakura may have been late in seeing him at his worst but she helped him.

This I stopped watching his "reviews" a long time ago. I get the fact that he likes Hinata, but I like Sakura and whenever she does something stupid I always call her out. Well to be more precise I call out Kishi.

 

This guy on the other hand only sees the good things about Hinata and when we get the ugly part of her character he chooses to ignore it. There's a word for that sort of person, I kind of forgot what it is. I think it starts with a B and ends with an S. Oh yeah I remember now it's called "Bias".

Also his statements are wrong. There's just wrong.

Instead of getting sucked into Perfect Hinata World, this could be the point at which Naruto has his sage powers stolen.

 

Toneri doesn't give a kitten about Naruto.  He kidnaps Hinata, we get 30 minutes of NH lovesickness seen through her genjustu.... when in "reality" Naruto, now suddenly short a bunch of power, has go to go back to Konoha and rally the troops for a rescue.

 

So Hinata is frolicking with Dark Naruto, while Light Naruto is actually seriously trying to save her ass.

She is kind, but she's to centered in Naruto. Remember this?

Right now I can't remember more examples, but even if I don't like her I can recognise she's kind. Mostly selfish when it comes with Naruto, tho
