@Michi Hehe, thanks to you too. Excuse the crappy quality, I just made it in paint, because I kept seeing pics of Kushina and Sakura is their awesome jackets and needed to do something about it.

It's interesting to see what kind of person Hinata is. In that video she would rather see herself (well technically speaking she wouldn't see herself) with her brains splattered all over the pavement than actually letting go of the scarf and start doing something to you know save her life. Remember she's a ninja right?

This girl really needs someone or something to smack her from her obsession, to wake her up. It's one thing to kill herself for Naruto's sake but this completely different.

You know, it would be cool but...it isn't consistent. It would mean Hinata AND Naruto are in the "IT", which means Naruto will fall for her either way. Also, Sakura cheering up Hinata and Sakura inviting her to sit with them comes first than this scene. So, that wouldn't be IT's efect...

 

And the "flash" could be anything. Haven't you see the same with a lot of villains escaping in a lot of mangas/animes/series/movies?

 

This isn't the same as RTN genjutsu, I think.  This is Toneri giving Hinata EVERYTHING SHE WANTS - He is giving her a universe in which she is:

 

- The heroine

- The star

- Not shy

- Super powerful

- Strong and confident like Sakura

- Gets the guy

- Gets her dream family (who have Naruto's markings and not her byukugen - says a lot about her that she is rejecting her own family's primary ninjutsu trait)

 

I think Hinata has accepted Neiji's death which is why he's not part of her dream universe - but visiting his grave with her daughter (ala 700) is.

 

And in exchange for this dream universe, all she has to do is let her body bear his babies! Ew.

You are forgetting that Naruto is with her when they are "flashed". I'm talking about the possibility of the genjutsu starting there.

What if it's just naruto in the i.t? He seems to be the only one bothered by the light? By the way, I'm not saying that the light is the same kind as rtn. Just a thought. So in the same way naruto fell for the genjutsu and had the urge to stay, it would be the same here with this sakura like hinata.ehh it is a stretch though i admit.

We can't really pice together what happens when though, cause it's scattered all over the place. So it still stands the chance of being consistent and following through with the story outline.. but yeah, he's freaking gorgeous. one of the only good things in this movie

Yes we can. We already know that the movie starts with Naruto haging up with his friends and then Hinata almost being kidnapped. We know that like a month ago.

Could SP/Kishi give any less of a kitten if this movie was supposed to connect to canon? There was really no effort put into this story at all. It's unoriginal, bland, and gives shojo a bad name.

I don't understand? We have the general overview and the specific scenes about the general overview.  What I'm saying is that if the IT starts there it isn't consistent with the time-line and characters behaviour in general for what we wanted to be.
