So he flashed them with light for nothing? o_o The moon is behind them when they're fighting, and in RTN it was a red moon that showed up like that.. Obito was associated with the red moon and Toneri with this crescent moon.. who knows lol. It was just the same deal with RTN. Flash out like that and put them in a IT.

You know, it would be cool but...it isn't consistent. It would mean Hinata AND Naruto are in the "IT", which means Naruto will fall for her either way. Also, Sakura cheering up Hinata and Sakura inviting her to sit with them comes first than this scene. So, that wouldn't be IT's efect...

 

And the "flash" could be anything. Haven't you see the same with a lot of villains escaping in a lot of mangas/animes/series/movies?

But that's the thing, we have no idea about Toneri and his powers...look at the orb thing, we don't know what it's supposed to be. Kaguya and her abilities weren't really touched upon in the manga, so it's more possible for something like that to happen xD and not really, lol. Toneri might just be that type of villain though :hm:

 

I hope he has a lot of screentime, sounds like he's going to talk a bit :wow:

Is still not consistent with what we saw. Even not knowing his powers, I'm assuming there that what you said happens and still is not consistent.
