what's funny is the people saying that nh/ss dating and getting married means that their bond automatically > ns bond. do they seriously not know any couples who have outside friendships that are much greater/closer etc. than the couples' relationship?

Even if that were true, You still don't see it. Naruto is apparently avoiding his family by staying in the office and Sakura is dusting and keeping house and that's all we see in Ch. 700. There was no indication that they are the best of friends and remember if Naruto and Hinata are married in the distant finale of the manga, we have to treat The Last as canon no matter how much it blows or is an insult to the characters and overall series cause it indicates the wedding which does happen no matter the flimsy excuse. As much as we hate what the series has become, there is no use disregarding what happened in "The Last" as part of the canon.

 

Of course you can argue they interact and stay in touch off screen but again we have to see actual proof of things, to actually know, and I don;t see that closeness they share anymore, despite what the voice actors say or the intention to portray them like that.  

Yeah, I didn't say "they are surely still close as they used to be in the manga", I know they totally disregarded their friendship in the last and chapter 700...and not only Naruto and Sakura's bond, and that's part of why this ending is so bad. (Plus you can see how bad their bond has become in "Shikamaru Hiden" 

I personally don't really consider the LAst (and chapter 700-699) as a canon thing, I KNOW it is canon, but for me, I prefer just...ignore it...for me, it's just too crappy to be considered as part of the manga I loved, but once again, I know it is canon, I won't say "Yeah Kishi didn't wriiiite it, he just did the design, he did the same thing with RTN"...He said it was supposed to be chapter 699.5, then it is 'canon' 

Plus when I say 'canon'(MY canon) , I generally refer to the time Naruto and Sakura (and all the other characters) were still themselves, and this what I think Junko and the other VA were talking about: the characters they voiced for years and years.

It was pretty obvious that she was going to voice the crappy old man in the next movie, so I'm not surprised ... even though I wished she would decline the offer...

Man, SS fans are like legion on NF, everytime SS is mentioned they come flocking. I almost felt bad for the NH guy in that thread, it was like 10 SS fans vs him.

That's your answer. I guess I should be worried for all pairings now. Sasaki probably thinking "She's like more than a lover...I don't know what that even means since I am smart as hell but whatever!"
