Except Naruto is a kids show and a common household name in Japan. It's like the Batman Forever: a terrible movie, but still highly profitable because of the large audience. The old Naruto movies were also terrible, but they still earned a lot of movie due to the brand.

Meh, when I was a kid growing up we had good shows like Batman: The Animated Series, that was also directed at kids, and yet had solid story telling elements. It lasted beyond many other shows that failed because of a bad premise. Had Batman ended by having Bruce married to Amanda Waller though I doubt it would be as fondly remember as it still is today.

 

Luckily when a franchise is handle correctly, you don't have to worry about something asinine like that coming up.

Are the insults and condemnations coming from just the  NaruSaku tag? Or is the outrage being felt across all of the Naruto fandom? 

tbh, most likely the NaruSaku fans are the cursing uncontrollably right now. But you do get the feeling that non-Shippers are getting more annoyed with this movie as time goes on.

And then Shikamaru brings him to Sakura who tells him the infamous lines about never loving her seriously and how young girls can't give up on their first love, and Naruto stops being depressed because he knows Hinata loves him and not the pointless filler villain ! What a great friendship, almost like a brother and sister relationship one would say!

The sad thing is, these retcons are far more inane than even the worst pairing assertions.

It strikes me as so ironic that Hinata has her memories about loving Naruto erased.

Because that's essentially what's happened to Naruto's feelings towards Sakura.

Seemed pretty obvious to me. In the spoilers from before it was written that Hinata loses her memories of Naruto. Hence she she says goodbye in the trailer. It's ironic because although that happens to her in the movie, it's officially canon now that Naruto never loved Sakura. In other words Naruto has officially forgotten that he loves Sakura. It's been retconned that he "loved her" because of Sasuke, and for no other reason.

 

Which is just another reason for me to be annoyed that Sasuke is still alive.

One of the tumblr users I'm following said this. Have Japanese Artists completely lost their minds?!:

 

 

So my husband went to the store today to get me some medicine, while there  he said he overheard a conversation…Apparently a lot of other manga artist might pull off the same crap kishi did in the ending just to support him and to see if their manga still makes it to the cover of shonen jump when it ends…he said they never said who will do it but they did state many have it in thought and just might do the same. Another thing to report MANY MANY hinata merchandise have been ordered and will fill up most major manga stores here in japan and some of those  big shipments will go nationwide as well just to glorify Naruto the Last. i really hate the news he told me but i am glad to see now that i can judge kishi fully now. and i have to say….out of all manga history..this has to  be one of the most saddest animes i have ever laid eyes upon o___o;; just saying
