I was about to go bed, until something dawned on me...

So it is confirmed that Sasuke is a wanderer, right? So he doesn't really live in Konoho anymore, right? Sakura still lives in Konoho...

Soooooooo, unless they have some sort weird long distance relationship, I doubt they are together by the movie.

So there you have it, SS doesn't seem likely now.

Of course I could be totally wrong, so don't blame if/when I am...

When did SS ever seem likely my friend?

It's just his clothes that give this impression. Nothing confirmed that he's a wanderer out of Konoha. Actually, I think he's still in Konoha since the sentence "Since he's not here, I suppose I have to protect you" must be directed at Kakashi.

Sasuke as a wanderer pretty much confirms SS did not and will not happen.

Here is the translation of the plot:

In the unusual conditions that is the moon approaching the earth, in the village of Konoha, Hanabi has been kidnapped! Naruto, Sakura, Sai, Shikamaru and Hinata are going rescue Hanabi who is dredged/sweeped away by an unidentifiable man.

The side text beside the man:

Kishimoto sensei has draw characters for the movie, but it seems to be connected to the original work (the manga), what kind of person is that character?

And the text in the sketche of the man:

Who is that handsome man with well-regulated features?!

And there is also some answering from Kishi's assistant on his Twitter account, he says that as Kishi said in an interview in 2010 (I think) Sakura's not a heroine and that Naruto hasn't chased after her since Pain Arc. But that's just his opinion.

Can't exactly blame NS shippers for their lack of faith when Kishimoto himself has handled the entire subplot and Naruto / Sakura's character terribly.

Everyone believed that Sakura was over Sasuke romantically after the rejection (which seemed like the next logical step in her character development) till chapters like 693, the "fake" confession and the entire Kage Summit happened. All of these all reeked of poor execution and hurt the perception and credibility of NaruSaku, regardless of whether the other ships were any better.

Then there is Naruto (to the audience) looking like he stopped loving / chasing Sakura romantically. While him stopping the chase for other things is somewhat true, we should have absolutely no reason to believe Naruto would change that aspect of his character and stop loving her. One of his goals is to win her over and this all goes back to how Kishimoto has mishandled the entire romantic subplot and Naruto's own feelings. We've had Hinata's and Sakura's feelings shoved down our throats endlessly while Naruto's feelings were deliberately pushed down as well as his goal of saving Sasuke becoming the central focus. So it isn't unreasonable to think some people think Kishimot made it so Naruto doesn't love her romantically anymore and will just ship him off with Hinata, even if it goes against Naruto's own themes and characters.

With SasuSaku, in the end all it will say is Sasuke was better than Naruto in Sakura's eyes and after all that he gained nothing in end. We were given no reason why Sakura even liked him that way and despite all that he gets her after all the development nad bonding she had with Naruto. It's terrible writing to the core and we know the manga can't support it but with how Kishi has handled things it's not totally ruled out (in their eyes atleast).

This is what happens when there's a huge war arc with a bunch of NH ship teasing and Naruto being unable to give Sakura any date requests... there's speculation from so called assistants in Naruto all of a sudden not giving a single romantic kitten about Sakura, even after the gf comment that happened a few weeks after Naruto was confirmed to be in love with Sakura and not being a simple crush! This is really just pure lunacy, I'm really starting to dislike you people.

Thanks a lot!

As for that assistant, sorry but for me this is BS when Kishi himself said that Sakura is the heroine of this manga and not Hinata. And that she'll be shown more heroine from there on.. and we've had Sakura in the war do kitten loads of things worthy of a heroine.

Ofc, people are entitled to believe whatever they want.

So it isn't unreasonable to think some people think Naruto doesn't love her romantically, even if it goes against Naruto's own themes and characters.

A romance does not have to be straightforward for it to be good, if any thing if you are utilizing a love triangle this is the last thing you want is every thing to be clear in regards to who gets with who.

We can theorize Kishimoto expanded both of Hinata and Sakura's own love interest to set the stage for more dynamics in his subplot.  What's lacking, as you aforementioned, is him fleshing out his female characters properly.

I cannot speak in regards to the lack of "faith".  This is only honestly a pairing of two characters we are more fond of.

By the way... the tweet by his assistant also reads odd.  He receives a question in regards to  is Sakura only for Sasuke's use and he answers with that we haven't really SEEN Naruto really pursue Sakura since the Pain arc.  What does Naruto have to do with such a question dealing with Sakura and Sasuke?  From there he tiptoes around the subject despite the person trying to get direct answers from him.

Which is funny because even with the NaruHina teasing NaruSaku still came out better than both ships with girlfriend comment, kushina comparison and heart grab / cpr scene. All those moments heavily outweighed what NH/SS got and like always, Kishi trolled both ships.

Yes, he says this:
This convo was screencapped by several people before he deleted it. The black is his response to the fan's questions.
Why, are people making a racket and wondering if Hinata will be the heroine??"
"Maybe because until now there hasn't been a heroine?"
"Isn't that a mistake? Sakura isn't the heroine!! ...that's what I've been saying since a long time ago." :3"Well, I've been hearing the man himself say that Naruto doesn't have a heroine from before 2010." ^^;
"Well then, is Sakura just meant for Sasuke's use?""This manga is something like an ensemble cast, where everyone has their own proper emotions... so I hate using the word 'use', but I have the feeling that ever since Pain we haven't really seen Naruto chase after Sakura..."
"Ah, maybe using the word 'use' wasn't the best way to express myself, sorry. I see. The manga has been pushing forward Naruto with Hinata, and Sasuke with Sakura, right?""Looking at Sakura, (you can tell) that she loves Sasuke to the point of pain, but you can't really understand what Sasuke means and he's the crucial part..." ^^;
"I'm looking forward to discovering what Sasuke's feelings towards Sakura are in the manga!"

That's why I wanted to know if he was confirmed as Kishi's assistant.

"I'm looking forward to discovering what Sasuke's feelings for Sakura are in the manga" this must be some kind of joke, Sasuke made it clear that for him Sakura is nothing. Does this dude read the manga ?

"The manga has been pushing forward Naruto and Hinata" ? Really ? Which manga is he talking about because in the manga I read all I see is Hinata while for Naruto Hinata is not even an aftertought and even called his girlfriend an other girl right before Hinata.

I'm ok to keep an open mind but to make such baseless claims is ridiculous, there's nothibg that supports this bias in the manga.

I don't think you get my point. Yes, Kishi's assistant can have his own opinion, but you have to look logically at it too. If he's aware of the ending and therefore the end pairings, he probably wouldn't imply things like Naruto not chasing Sakura if the ending is positive for them. I'm not saying this confirms anything, but its not something to take so lightly either.

You're certainly placing a lot of "if's" in the word of someone whom probably doesn't know as much as you think he does. Once again this is leading us nowhere. This guy said absolutely nothing pro or against any pairing.
