Does look like an older more mature looking Natsu, also the scarf is all black like it was after Zeref's attack. wonder if this indicates another timeskip like Romeo's appearence months before the incident indicated a seven year skip.

I would love it if Hiro did more with Graytear. I don't really see the yuri thing with Ultear/Meredy (honestly, since she was first introduced it seemed more like a mother/daughter thing to me), and Ultear would be a much more interesting love interest than Juvia is. It'd be nice to see them bond over shared memories of Ul.

I'm not even remotely surprised here, which is sad, Hiro has done something similar only to dissapoint me the very next chapter so i'm at a point where I'm expecting a revival, or some sort of ice clone or something similar to what happened in Rave Master between Musica and Reina.

Folks on another forum are wondering if it was a Lyon "ice clone" and Gray's supposed "thing I have to tell you" was a Lyon puppet telling Juvia he didn't love her.  

 

I don't think Lyon's character is that much of a jerk, though.

I don't think blood would come out of an ice clone.

 

I didn't like his death either, but I won't judge until I read the next chapter.

Well, that escalated quickly. :zomg:

 

Fairy Tail is usually the happy series of the big four, so I definitely wasn't expecting that. I don't think dramatic deaths like that suit this series at all, so the whole scene felt out of place to me. The chapter was alright up until the part where Gray came in, and then it started looking like a bad fanfiction. Talk about overkill. This was terrible.

 

If the story keeps developing like this, I may have to drop this series. :down:
